Don't know what to do? ?
Managed to get into recovery, tried factory reset but without succes?
Do you know what your battery percentage is?

What were you doing when this happened ??
When I connect to a laptop I see the battery logo charging.
Finally when I plug into the wall charger I managed to start up the device again. Seems that it had something to do with the battery. To me this is a reason to send the device back.
Still the battery says 26%?
Unplugged the charger again, installed all my apps again and wtf at 26% battery it went black again???
The story continues.... Plugged the charger again and tried to boot the device with the following result..
Or...
Whasss happening? ?
Bad unit.

I will...
They were very helpful at Google, they send me a new device and if the new one arrives I can send the old one back. ? for Google.
Who pay for shipping back?
Google does. Already my 2nd device is in.... This one has more lightbleed ?
I love lollipop but for me it's not yet worth the money. Build quality is not at standard so I will return this device too and wait until they fixed the lightbleed and other stuff...
Got my 3rd device now and finally i am satisfied. Also out of the box the latest firmware was installed ??

Hi,
I hope I am on the right thread.
This issue started one week ago. I have a 4.1.83 (no root, no G-blur or any specific customization beside the ) just the stock Atrix phone.
When my phone is turned off, if I try to plug it into the wall with the moto charger the red Motorola logo came on, then disappear then came back on and keep doing that (on and off) - infinite rebooting loop. Before, the battery charge status would come on and the phone would charge fine.
Now it just does this unlimited reboot on the red M logo.
If i turn on the phone without the cable, the phone turns on fine and i can charge it with the wall charger after the phone is booted. But not when the phone is turned off.
Do you have any ideas on what is going on and how to fix it?
Thanks for your help.
Hmm... Is the charger the one specifically designed for your Atrix and you're sure you haven't done any tweaking to the phone?
Absolutely certain. Am using the original Charger and did not try to do anything special with the phone...I did not touch any system file nor tried to tweak anything.
Phone is 'stock' beside few apps I installed several weeks before the problem starts to occur.

If you had rooted, etc. I would say flash sbf and start over, but since you are stock, I would return it for a warranty replacement.
Can I do that even if I have owned it for 3 months?
Thanks!
I have the same exact problem but I have my mobile flashed, plus bought mine from eBay. Should it be a software issue?

You have one year warranty through Motorola. See warranty section in the following:
http://www.motorola.com/staticfiles/Support/US-EN/Mobile%20Phones/ATRIX_4G/US-EN/Documents/StaticFiles/ATRIX_LG_68014203002A.pdf
If the phone is defective, you are covered. If it's accidental damage, you would have to use your phone insurance through your carrier.
Can't be accidental...Phone is working perfectly beside the charging issue and so far.
Only issue is it takes 1 full day to charge it from 10% to 100%
Last night I plugged my phone at 9pm (60%). It took 8 hours to have it fully charged...
Thanks for your reply, I guess I 'll check with ATT first :'( and Motorola then....
Did you already try charging with the phone off through USB on your desktop or laptop? Maybe the wall charger is defective.
Do a backup and perform a factory restore to see if it fixes it before shipping it out for warranty.
Goodluck!

your battery and or phone is straight up defective, or something is wrong, needs to be replaced. no way should it take that long to charge. something go out of wack, and it sounds like faulty battery is failing, hence why it wont charge turned off AND takes forever to charge up when turned on.
Hi,
A friend gave me to fix he's HTC Desire X.
its won't boot what ever I do.
When I charge it the red led is on, but nothing else. adb devices show nothing (Linux system)
I'm familiar with HTC and adb so its not software on the PC issue.
Any idea what i'm missing ?
Can you boot into bootloader?

Hell, i have no clue
He claim he just used the device, it's not even rooted.
Fully charged battery?
I think so.
I let it charge for 14 hours. led kept being red.
I wonder if it was battery, while plugged it should have started right ?
why not just claim warranty rather than cracked your brain. leave it to the agent to fix it up.
Try another charger, had that too with my DX, another charger fixed it all.

I'm using original one, and tried with another cable to PC.
I guess he's doomed.

not sure what it is, but i have red square on the battery side, its safe
if neither adb or fastboot doesnt see the device, i guess RUU is irrelevant huh ?
Any suggestions ?
If you have a red square on your battery it doesn't mean it's safe it means that it came in touch with watter. Ask your friend what did he do with his phone, the phone 100% fell in watter.
That small label is watter indicator, you have one more inside the phone.
Ok.
If that's the case.
Doesnt the phone should work with battery removed and power plugged ?
Can someone check this please ? (i have One X and can't check )
Maybe watter got inside the phone, not just reached the battery.

Me:
Hey guys!
Some of you may know me from i9001 forums.I stopped developing roms there because i don't have the phone anymore.
You:
Bla bla.I don't care.Tell me what your problem is.
Me:
Ok.I was trying to port PA 3.15 and do a liltle testing. It worked but almost nothig was working,so i returned to CM 10.Everything went fine.
That night i plugged the phone in my laptop (with fast charge enabled) and let it charge all night.
Next morning i plugged out the phone from my laptop (i didn't look at the phone, just plugged it out) and went to watch tv for about 30 minutes .
When i came back in my room my phone was a little hot (arround 40 degrees).
I tried to open it,nothing.
Tried to reset it,nothing.
Connect to pc,nothing,
Connect to wall charger,nothing.
Even the little red led won't blink. The phone is dead.
I left the phone connected to the wall charger for about 10 mins.Still nothing.Any ideeas?
EDIT:I read something about fast-charge mod. This somehow disables the auto-shutdown when the phone run out of battery. This puts it into "super-critical" low battery mode.
I don't know if this is real,i will let my phone charge for 2 hours or so.
EDIT2:I saw now that i posted this in general section.Sorry for that..Any admin please move it in the Q&A.
:crying: any news? did you manage to get it up and running?
No.The phone is getting hot if i plug in a power source.I don't know what to do....
UPDATE: The phone is okay.I managed to get it running.
Don't leave us hanging like that. What did you do to fix your phone?

Leave the phone connected to the wall charger for 2 days without touching it.
Then try to start it in bootloader.
Next time charge it while its in a freezer. BAM it won't get hot.

here's the problem!!!
I rarely use s3 while exams going on!!
last time I switched off it while it is on 4% or 5% of battery.. and thrown in to the bag
now I just took phone and tried to turn it on!!
phone wont boot up..considered charging makes some sense..just connected cable to the s3..a grey icon of battery occurs and shutdown..again tried by plugging off and on..nothing happens same grey battery icon and shutdown..read somewhere that holding power and menu button will startup the phone..its working but phone again switched off after booting up in about 2 sec..
do I consider replacing battery?? if that's the case..it gave me an average battery life of day before.
I don't know what to do??:crying::crying:
someone please suggest me what to do
thanx in advance!!!
anyone???
Hold on Vol-Down+Home+Power and see if you can boot into download mode.
If you do plug your phone and reflash stock firmware through Odin.

thank you!! it helped me to figureout something..but still confusing
I replaced a battery of another s3..
it worked..the best thing is my battery worked on another s3..
but my phone is not charging even after replacing battery..i thought charging pin of s3 is reason for all confusion..but if its the reason..when my battery is completely down(yesterday) I plugged in charger and it shown me some grey icon of charging(if charging pin is not working it will not show up)..and again confusion started..
iam currently in india..phone is rooted using android revolution hd rom..my warranty is not expired still..am I eligible for warranty??can I claim warranty?? I thought its not related to software issue..so comes under warranty.
ok even if it doesnot comes under warranty?? can I go for service center for repair..will they repair it(of course by taking some extra bucks)?
thanks again!!

bro i think your charger is the problem
Have you tried plugging it to a computer via USB cable? If that does not work then maybe buy a new battery. Cos there's a flaw in some Samsung batteries. They die completely if they reach 0%. Hope it helps. Good luck

I would bet the charger. My S3 always go to 0% before charging and never had a prob...
You should...
a) Flash latest software from Samsung through Odin for your country
b) Root it through chainfire's autoroot
c) Install and use Triangle Away to reset counter
d) Perform full unroot through supersu
e) Check if you have official status in download mode
Then you should use your warranty. Probably problem is in your USB cable or USB port in your device. I suggest firstly trying with other cable and if it doesn't help do as I told you above (if possible of course) and send it to warranty with a note "does not charge".
this happened to me and it was just the power button being stuck...I had the exact same issues.... I have 4 batteries so the issue was clearly not battery related. All i did was smack the phone around a bit and boots fine now.
mine just freeze in batery icon when i try to charge off.... but he charge normal on. anyone have that issue?

Yes, Sanosuke, i have the same problem. I think it happened after trying to use triangle away on my i9305T. When turned off, phone will charge, but frozen at the battery screen (at 0%, screen wont dime, nor change to the current battery levels).
Anyones know how to revert the changes made by triangle away?
Thanks!
I'm having the same issue installed Gummy ROM 4.4.4 everything is flawless except charging the device while powered off shows a grey battery with a frozen white circle
Ahm is the problem solved? Im experiencing the same..i cnant boot up and hen when i plug it on the charger gray battery with a circle inside is the only thing showing up.. i dont know if i can boot it up to download mode or etc.. can u rply here [email protected]
Hi all. So I was using my device, had about 7% battery left at night I plugged it in, in the morning it had 2% charge left. So I turned it off thinking an app was causing a glitch and it would charge faster so I could figure out the problem. But it didn't ever charge again and of course won't turn on since it has no juice ! Now that I think back it wasn't an app and the problem is the charging . The cable is fine, tried different chargers different ports and pc.
I read somewhere the problem was the port and moving the tab in usb port helped alot of people with different devices so I did that and still no charging
Any one has any idea ? I don't have warranty on this so it's either fix it or get a new one which may very well have this problem again .
Oh and it vibrates when I press power, or hold power, or power + volume down together just nothing comes up
Same here!
What did you do to solve your problem?!
When I bought mine I had the same problem after I started flashing custom kernels. I solved it by installing fire and ice kernel.
Similar to this issue, my stock charger won't charge my device for some reason. It will begin charging but one I come back an hour, it would be at the same percentage (I'm using Fire-Ice kernel). I have to use my N7's charger for now.
I sent it in for HTC to fix - all they did was reset the software.. From Mrshmallow with the March 206 patch back to the January patch. It went out with 38% when I sent it, and came back with 15%. Still doesn't charge! THey did not even test it as far as I can see. I have called them to understand whether they did fix it or not, as there is no note that indicates anything on the return package. Still waiting to hear back from HTC. Awful customer service :-/

You could run it over with your car and send it to HTC for service, and all they would do is flash an outdated factory image. They're useless. You can tell them the specific problem, one of which they are very well aware(ie bad motherboard causing scrambled screen freeze), and they will refuse to do anything other than flash an image.
