[Q] Unbrick hard brick gt-i9100 omnirom 4.4.2 - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

good evening everyone at xda-developers,
I would like to start by explainig my actual issue then give details of the tested solution and their result.
First of all my issue is like following, I have a galaxy s2 model gt-i9100 hard bricked :crying: the reason is still unknown after it was running an OMNIROM ROM 4.4.2, one night the phone got frozzen at the home screen then putted it off to see what was the issue in the morning but surprise the phone won't boot anymore.
I test the USB JIG solution to get into download mode and flash the rom or another one,
Tested also a debrick file .img and Win32DiskImager and a 16g class 10 memory card but no luck, maybe the issue is that this .img file is intended for ice cream version .
What i would like to know and want some help to try is:
want to know if the .img file need to be created for the right version used to run on the device before hard brick
want some help to if the answer of the previous is yes, i would like the help of someone who have the same device model gt-i9100 with the same rom installed to create an image debrick for me to test.
and thank you everyone for your help

Device is pretty amazing, benchmark shows the same rank as Samsung S2 in performance. Really good device, pretty sure it will be a best buy for the beggining of this year.

[HELP] Fixing Hard Bricked Karbonn S1 / Cherry Mobile Flame 2.0

Hi ghuyz.. newbie hir, trying to find all ways to revive by Smartphone... here's what happened:
first, i accidentaly formatted the sys boot of my device, resulting to a "reset for entry qpst" error because according to some geeks out there, formatting sysboot actually formats the partition 3 instead of partition 8.. as a resolve for this, i followed certain instructions on how to fix this kind of problem.. unfortunately, i cant find any complete procedures for karbonn s1, so i gambled to follow instructions for karbonn a9+ .. Now my phone is totally dead! It won't power on anymore. It wont even show "charging" when pluged in. I'm just a poor little guy who can't afford buying a new one anymore. For those geeks who have a benevolent heart out there, Please Help! I hate goint to service centers promising me to wait 4 at least 3 months before they can repair it.
Thanks and Godbless..

I have the same issue I was trying to install new rom and unfortunately reformat the system drive...if you unroot your phone and ask your manufacturer to repair it or replace it you should have a good acting skills, don't tell them that you were trying to install new ROM because the warranty doesn't include system issues...
GL...
BTW: I wasn't able to find any fix for this issue...I just use my acting skills...LOL

We Actually need someone who does have a working Titanium S1 or Cherry Flame2.
If you find someone who does have it Please ask them to do the following
1) Switch off the Working Mobile
2) Switch it on by pressing the vol+ Key and wait untill it shows the "Entry QPST Download" Screen
3) Connect your mobile to Windows
4) Start Acronis and make a Sector by sector backup
5) Now Switch on your bricked mobile and connect it to windows
6) Start Acronis and do a restore that you made from the working Titanium S1 or Flame2
7) Reboot
This should do the job. However i was unable to find someone with the same mobile.Hope Somebody can help.
If anybody has the Backup. Please post it so that others can also Restore their mobile if bricked.

Yeah Same Happened With Me No Flashing Lights While Trying To Charge..
0k gonna go round..
OK ok I saw this.I know how you feel.Once I soft bricked my Samsung Galaxy S2..That's so bad. Here's possible solution.Download original ROM from somewhere idk you find it.Download Odin.Try to insert new software with it.If it doesn't works I am so so sorry.
As I heard before the only solution for hard bricked devices is.
Go to very tall building,go to top and throw your phone from there and cry..
For Soft Bricked you can fix it easy. You need to install new ROM.
Soft Bricked or Bootlooped is when you hear only sounds.Your phone reacts on charging but you don't see anything and you can boot into recovery and turn on and off your device.
Hard Bricked Device- Well nothing works.Solution is to throw it into junk..
I'll look out somewhere if I can find any solution.

Revisiting this tab as my solution for having it work was to fling together parts of the nx008, not perfect, I still needed to get the original ROM.
Can you perhaps provide me with a dump of the original ROM?
Also if you need help loading the rom onto the bricked one, I believe I can be of some help.
Thanks

Soft Bricked NextBook Ares A11 tablet 64bit Intel Atom Need recovery

I Pre-Apologize If this Has been asked before My Interest at the current time is about developing a recovery image for my soft-bricked Nextbook Ares A11 Tablet android 5.1 64 bit Atom processor 1gb ddr3 ram if i remember correctly I was experimenting with trying to find a recovery image that i could flash to it and well Bricked I can however boot to some sort of bios hardware settings in it with the ability to boot from file and change manufacturer hardware settings ...I dont believe that is part of the android booting process but somewhere hardcoded! As for the android booting i no longer have the stock recovery<!--go figure--> but i still am able to access fastboot in download mode and i have the update firmware from the manufacturers for my specific device! Sorry if this seems like 2 questions If you could tell me wether i could flash the update to fix it has the boot.img in it also other files looks similar to how to root with file-systems anyways if you have no advice on how to unbrick my advice Here is the real question!! What matters when developing a recovery.img for a specific device what do i have to take into consideration as to hardware specs and software specs any good links to that would be awesome and for the final question how to distinguish my recovery partition type idk if it is MTD or BML I cant find the MTD folder so assuming it is BML I can also get additional info such as last_log or any of that I am able to USB boot the tablet into Kali Linux Sorry for Such a long and drawn out explanation I will revise my question if needed and possibly start two separate posts on this! Thanks in advanced i really appreciate the Help!!! XDA Rules
Update Tried to flash the update firmware boot.img snd now i also have a verity issue I think ive tried everything
maybe my answer is to wait until a flash recovery comes out for this tablet!
I have found a Temporary Solution for my Bricked Nextbook Ares A11 Given it is Buggy and you may need to experiment to get the WIFI working! I didnt yet!
I have read somewhere that you can take these Android_x86.ISO and compile the Kernel I Dont Know How YET but if you cant find one that Supports the Wifi chip then i think you'll have to compile the drivers with the Kernel!
If you can Find an ISO Image for this device that seems to work decent at least the WIFI Let me know please I'll be 4ever Grateful!
Here is my Temporary Fix!
While looking for Android Images to Install on my Nextbook I stumbled upon this webpage It has loads of Android ISO's for running inside a VM
http://www.android-x86.org/download
I used a Bootable usb to test then install the one That worked the best for me
The software on my Device was Buggy One ISO let WIFI work for the first boot then all of a sudden it stopped working.... on this one the touchscreen never worked! heres the ISO name---cm-x86-13.0-rc1.iso--<!--WIFI worked for the first boot-->
The other one is --Android-x86 6.0-- the WIFI never worked but the touchscreen does but not for a real long time!! I think if you get the kernels then custom build them to fit your device that would fix a Soft brick for any device that you could figure out how to boot a USB image on!

Why not extract the device's kernel from an update file if possible?

Sky Device 5.5W

I accidently erased the firmware off my Sky 5.5W and I have searched everywhere for it.
My computer recognises it but cant find the firmware .
Does anyone know where I can find it or if I can use different firmware?
Thanks
can you tell me the current condition of your device?
Like is it stuck on boot logo (boot loop)
or is it bricked?
I don't think it's bricked as the laptop still finds it.
try checking this link out
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1936747&page=2
also like my replies, its a great encouragement if you do so
Will it work with an mtk device.? I tried it but can find the proper software for it. The files the qfl asks for aren't apart of the files I have.
Well honestly I have never worked with MTK devices but I know what you should do.
Now if that's the case you may download SPFT (Smart Phone Flash Tool) and find the appropriate drivers for your MTK device and then flash the ROM you want to (I prefer the stock room).
I hope this will help you.
...I'm in similar position with a Platinum 5. Please let me know whether you found ROM for this device and if so where, and I'll let you know what I find out if you need. I think I'll try to get something from SKY themselves so wish me luck.
