Based on scrubbers lollipop port:
This mod is for you who prefer the back navigation bar button on the right, and recent apps button on the left.
Instructions: Flash the attached zip in recovery.
Note: Use a system wide dpi of 320 with this mod.
Status: Beta 1
Uploaded: 2014-12-06
If you wish to stay with the buttons layout and just want to fix the spacing if you are on a lower DPI, check out my other mod here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z-ultra/themes-apps/mod-fix-navbar-spacing-lower-dpi-t2963107
Edit 2014-12-08: Added a revert zip. Flash in recovery if you want to restore the original SystemUI. Note that this restores your SystemUI to it's original state.
@pemell Do you have any ideas on how to have four soft keys? I am using an xsposed module that gives a fourth one for menu button and have gotten really attached to having it.
Yeah, I used it too back in the days, but i can't see any need for it now, especially with lollipop.
Added a revert zip to the OP. Flash in recovery if you want to restore the original SystemUI. Note that this restores your SystemUI to it's original state.
Thanks a lot mate! I have been looking for this all day. My dpi is set to 320, but I think the buttons are a little bit too close together now, they weren't before I flashed your zip. Would it be possible to make a zip with the 'default' button density but the back button on the right and the recents button on the left?
I've tried this on 280DPI but the softkeys won't swap?
Don't work on lollipop 14.5.A.0.270
Hi guys,
It does not work on the latest update lollipop.
The status bar and the navigation bar disappear. I did wipe Dalvik / Art cache.
Restore the default button does not work, the status bar and the navigation bar have disappeared....great...........

Download the. 75 firmware, install flashtool, flash the firmware and make sure you wipe your data for a clean install.

Hi, I am having problem with touch buttons some times they work and then stop. So can some one recommend me any tweak or a ROM similar to stock that I can flash to solve this issue.
Many custom ROMs include navbar. That's the closest to stock buttons option. If your rom doesn't include it, you can add it with xposed Installer and gravitybox. If you want enhanced functionality and a non stock look, try LMT.

Is it possible to use your rom but with unmodified systemui, framework etc? If so, what should I replace? I want to check it out, especially the LED function.

Yes, just rewrite my LGSystemUI, framework-res, and lge-res, with stock and deodexed versions of them, change prmissions to -rw-r--r-- (like other files in folders).
And delete 3minit/potato gradient from system/app (com.three.minitbatterysetting, and com.potatogradientapp).
Please, post result here.
Unfortunately
I flashed your rom as it is, without changing anything. Just to prevent making any mistake from my part. I can confirm that the LED still doesn't work as it's supposed to, at least on my device. The only difference I noticed was that with your rom the LED notifications worked every time I unlocked and then locked the screen without dismissing them while with Amiga's they sometimes did and sometimes did not. The fact is that the LED is supposed to flash by default when the screen is off and the phone is untouched but it doesn't with both roms. So I guess it is a KK bug.

Might be kernel related or system related. Why? How is the led turned on? It has a driver that turns red blue or green at an intensity. So kernel might be buggy or system might use it just bad. Try with stock kernel if you are using a modded one if you want to debug it. If it doesn't work it's OS related something is messing up the notification usage.

Yes, I do have a P710. It would be nice if there were many more checking your rom, so there would be more results. Could there possibly be minor hardware differences between bunches of the same model? I don't know what to think. It's a shame because you people create roms with hard work and we can't use them properly.

@SoulrainFalls I honestly doubt there is any hardware difference. Hmmm what kernel do you have? Also an app or anything can basically mess up the usage of LED.

Both this rom and Amiga's use Airidosas252 kernel. I know about apps, that's why I didn't install anything more than K9-Mail and BBM to check. But it seems strange that with JB I had all sorts of apps installed and the LED was fine. And how come the notifications don't work by default but do when I unlock and then lock the screen again? What I can see is that people are having LED problems even with stock KK .kdz. I think LG screwed the update(?) and that's bad for these guys that make the roms.

Might be bad update by lg or a glitch in kernel or an app interfering. Anyway this kind of glitches are very very very very hard to trace and debug.

I agree, hard to trace bug, but, just for to be shure, it will be smart to flash stock KK kernel from SoulrainFalls's country/provider KDZ. No matter wich rom is installed on device.

Just flash your original firmware from this page: http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=21. Choose one from your country/region/provider, and must be version 10 (JB), NOT 20a (KK).
After flashing you MUST perform factory reset.

If you is on v10j, that is JB firmware...
When You flash KK, procedure for stock kernel is:
From the page: http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=21, download your country/region/provider firmware 20a kdz.
From tutorial on: http://forum.xda-developers.com/optimus-l3-l5-l7-l9-ii/development/lg-l7-ii-how-to-unpack-kdz-img-t2815176, perform steps from 1. to 10.
Between extracted images, is APPS.
Rename it to boot.img , that is stock kernel.
Place it to your external_SD.
Open terminal (on the phone) and type:
su (after that press enter)
dd if=/storage/external_SD/boot.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p9 (and press enter)
If you're not familiar with terminal, download airidosas kernel from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/optimus-l3-l5-l7-l9-ii/general/p710-p713-p714-kitkat-kernel-lg-optimus-t2889120
and replace boot.img in his .zip with your extracted from your .kdz.

Unfortunately these steps won't work because I'm on Linux. If anyone knows another way, I'd be happy to check it. Meanwhile, I flashed a couple of different versions of Airidosas kernel and noticed a tiny improvement. First of, with both v0.2 and v0.2.1, in the Home button LED settings the preview worked fine while before it was cut off immediately and second, every time I received a notification, when I unlocked and then locked the screen without even opening the app that sent the notification and without dissmissing it, the LED flashed happily. I checked with both the lockscreen in Amiga's rom and with WidgetLocker.
In conclusion:
1) The LED preview works in the Home button LED settings.
2) The LED notification works when unlocking and then locking the screen without dismissing the notification.
3) The LED stays off when a notification is received and the screen is off, unless 2) happens.
4) The LED works on boot time and while charging.
These are the findings on my device. I don't know if anything makes any sense. Just a thought. I think I read somewhere (correct me if I'm mistaken) that in KK the LED function has been changed and while in JB one would only see the LED flash when the screen was off, in KK the LED notifications work even while the screen is on. Could there be a bug somewhere in this?
hi I am looking for modifications that will allow me to close the application by prolonged pressing back.
What rom are you using?
Have your looked in the Developer's Tools, should be at the bottom.
If you have Xposed you can use Gravity Box module. There a setting for that on there. Done the same on Lollipop, mainly to shorten the long press delay.

Try in phone settings and about phone, tapping build number until it says development options enabled. And if that works you should have development options in phone settings now. Right at the bottom of development settings should be back to kill. If not you can't use it unless you have a custom rom. Been a while since I've used stock.
Unfortunately it did not work, but I worked it out by installing modifications.
Thank you for tryin to help.
Galaxy S5 MM 6.0.1 PK1 (Mostly) Stock Deodexed Rom
This build is based on the marshmallow stock G900PVPS3CPK1_G900PSPT3CPK1_SPR build.
This is a first release. Even though it has been tested, please report any issues.
Features:
- Rooted
- Busybox
- Hotspot enabled
- Knox Removed
- ItsOn Removed
- All toggles enabled including hotspot and flashlight
- Usb/battery popups removed
- Signature verification disabled
- .5 animation scales default
- Screen mirroring fix
- Usb debugging on by default
- Carrier label removed from statusbar
- Hidden menu hacked to allow use without prl. Prl write enabled, don't know if it still works on 6.0 though.
- Recovery & Download Mode added to stock reboot menu.
- private mode does not work (not really too interested in fixing it right now, the standard fix doesn't work)
- All apps updated, all stock apps included. Use debloat tool to remove Sprint bloat apps, even if they've taken updates. Only app I left behind is sprint zone because users are always asking for it.
Known Issues:
If you try to edit the toggles, flashlight will disappear.
There is nothing I can do about this right now.
To restore the stock toggles, wipe data on the Add Toggles app and reboot (I use Titanium backup).

Nice work!! Does the mini bootloader include modem too?
edit: already downloaded and check the file and the answer is yes.
Just to be clear, the mini bootloaders are for jumping back and forth between lollipop roms and marshmallow? Would this be flashed through Odin and then just boot into recovery to flash ROM of choice?

Has anyone else noticed HORRIBLE battery on pk1, vs say ok4 or pca?
Im on the stock pk1, not this version here. Just wondered if its just me, or if its everyone and maybe this is addressed in these roms posted here.
Thanks.

I don't see why not this is just a stock rooted rom with minor mods nothing that much changed. I personally don't really install viper but it should work if you were able to install it on other tw based roms
first, thank you @tdunham for making this. I had an issue using the 3.0.2-1 TWRP as it wouldn't allow SD card access, so I went back to 3.0.1-0 and it worked fine.
EDIT: i can't seem to get v4a to work. Any ideas?

Forgive my ignorance. I've never run a debloat tool. I usually just remove what I don't use but guessing this way is cleaner. Should I boot up the rom and set it up first or run it directly after flashing the rom?

perhaps the bloatware is eating at it. also the battery is a mess after a new flash, needs few days to settle
Debloat , kill all the garabage and let it cycle the battery few times.
Ive tried both stock and debloated, still crappy batt.
Ill flash this n see if its just a quirk on my end or if just so happening that my battery is giving out.
I dont see an option to mount SD as internal storage, is that not available on this build?

Forgive my ignorance. I've never run a debloat tool. I usually just remove what I don't use but guessing this way is cleaner. Should I boot up the rom and set it up first or run it directly after flashing the rom?

Before first boot is best. Doesn't really matter probably.

Ive tried both stock and debloated, still crappy batt.
Ill flash this n see if its just a quirk on my end or if just so happening that my battery is giving out.

Never use an aftermarket battery, they are really not worth it.
If getting an extended yield battery, only purchase the best name brands like zero lemon. I had a cheapy aftermarket standard battery and when I bought a genuine stock, there was a huge difference.

Unless something has changed, this has never been an option on stock Touchwiz.

My apologies is been a while since I've tried a TW rom.
I'm having trouble with accommodating space.
Ive used app2sd to move everything possible but still an issue, any suggestions?
