Variant ROM Compatibility on T-Mobile Network - Verizon LG G3

So, I just caught a deal on a Verizon G3 for $283 after my discount with a clean ESN etc. I'm coming from a unlocked T-Mobile Note 2 and it can use T0LTE/N7105 roms which are international. What roms can I flash on the phone that won't brick it?

You can only flash ROMs for the Verizon variant. The code name for the device is VS985. AOSP and Stock ROMS are available. Just Root and then Bump (Unlock the bootloader)

If you aren't familiar with the situation on the VS985, make sure you are using the 10B Firmware.

[Q] 4.2.2 OTA update

Phone is currently downloading the 4.2.2 OTA update...I'm rooted with custom recovery with super CID and s-off so it's obviously not going to take. Is there any way to get it loaded, or do I just have to wait for a ROM to be released? Also won't the kernel's not match even with a ROM? Is it possible to side load with a RUU? Don't care if the phone gets wiped....not much on it. Sorry for the noob questions in advance.
What ROM are you currently running? 4.2.2 isn't officially available on AT&T yet. There are several 4.2.2 ROMs in the International forums that work fine. Since you're S-off, you can flash almost anything. Start here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=2119

Currently just running plain old at&t stock rom on 4.1.2. Hrmm...thought at&t just released it. Phone just downloaded a big 256 mb firmware update so I assumed that was it. Basically I just want the updated firmware with stock everything else..need wifi tether and other rooted functions. I figured (maybe wrongly) that by going s-off you can downgrade to stock RUU's that would allow you to then get OTA updates. Maybe there is more too it than that.

That's a firmware update for radios and some other stuff. It improved the signal quality for me. It's available in the developer section here as a flashable rom, stock and rooted: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2391148
---------- Post added at 10:08 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:06 PM ----------
And you can flash almost anything with s-off. Downgrade to bone stock or put 4.2.2 on. Even convert to the Google Play Edition if you like the look of stock android without Sense.

Question on P769BK v20F bootloader.

I just recently upgraded my P769BK to V20F. I saw a previous post about unlocking the v20F boot loader but it seems it's a bum post.
I take it no one has been able to unlock the boot loader for V20F yet?
I want to install Clockwork Mod and CM roms now.
Is there a way I can flash my phone to a previous update that can have the boot loader unlocked? Is that still possible? I heard about this KDZ offline flash thing but I don't know If I can do that still because I have v20F?
If I can revert to a previous version, could anyone recommend what version I should revert to and give me a link or links on what I can do further to get the BL unlocked, clockwork installed, and a good custom rom?
I'd be grateful if someone can help me with this.
Thanks!!

NM. I gave up. Its too much of a damn hassle.
I tried to flash the KDZ method but for some strange reason the LG Update tool just won't read any info on my phone when I have it in S/W mode. The app just crashes. Also it says that LG servers are down for maintenance when attempting to run the LG Mobile Support Tool. What a pain in the ass!
I started with the 20f too and I was able to unlock the bootloader although it was a pita tho good luck

Carloswii5 mentions in his video that you need to install L9Recovery.apk and grant it root permission or you will just boot normally.... yet in an earlier tutorial, there is no mention of this important step. Hmmmm.

Seems like you are asking 2 different things. Do you want to convert to stock international to receive OTAs for the international version; or just flash Viper custom ROM?
If you want OTAs, you can convert by flashing the desired stock ROM, stock recovery, and corresponding firmware.
If you just want to flash Viper, then update your firmware as described in Post#7 of the Viper thread (in the "international" M8 forum section): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=51623014&postcount=7

Actually I want to convert my phone to international stock m8 and take OTA's. I want to get rid of at&t and just stock international M8.
Custom rom is a future plan
Can you please show me the way to convert step by step?

I am not in US. I live in Turkey.
Is there any difference between us developer edition and euro?
Ok cid/mid is different for euro devices. I was under impression you were in states with an att device. Different regions have different versions,id look for one for your region or do the cid mid change, then follow steps for flashing.
Did you successfully convert it? and how? because i want to convert my m8 to international version to get OTA updates and to be able to turn hotspot ON, but this is my 1st htc and i know nothing, at all.

He posted a link to the custom recovery which is twrp. Stump is just rooting. Once stumped, you can install twrp which is bumped which means you can then install a custom ROM.

Accidentally upgraded to OF1 Help downgrade to OC1

I am having no luck downgrading the software on my verizon S4 to OC1 from OF1.
I used odin 3.09 and odin 3.10.16 with it failing.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

That's because once the i545 is updated to OC1 there is no way to downgrade.
Usually the Odin flash will fail with a message similar to :
Fail (Auth.)

so thats a solid no to downgrade even from the micro update
To the best of my knowledge the i545 is very unfriendly when it comes to downgrading bootloaders /firmware.
The only S4 model that I know of that is downgrade friendly is the i337.. Infact I know from experience that it can be downgraded from lollipop back to kitkat with a simple odin flash.
The only way a microupdate can be Downgraded is if the bootloaders... Which include TZ (trusted zone) are practically the same and only system files change... But this is rare with Verizon phones specially after Knox.
Two things... There are threats of Verizon s4 that warn about update OTA, no way to return previous bootloader my friend... muniz roms are the only capable of cuz they don't update bootloader I did recently downgrade from of1 to nc5 with no problems.... S4 must be deactive OTA, if I could I would return to MDK bootloader unfortunately when I receive this was already in NK bootloader.... That's Verizon....

The I545 can be downgrading just like any other model but only to where you rooted it at. So me MDK. I can go all the way back to when phone was purchased. Nk1 they would be able to revert back to Nk1 and so on. If you took the OTA then your bootloader got upgraded. stang5litre 5.0 Edition doesn't upgrade your bootloader.

Incorrect. My rom doesn't upgrade your bootloader. Read comment I left above. Where ever you are rooted at is where you can go back 2. Plan and simple. My ROM doesn't update the bootloader.

Sorry my bad stang5litre I said only Muniz roms bad statement all ROMS in Xda are capable of..downgrade,
Stock ones came from verizon directly not... Several people had the problem when they jump from kitkat to lollipop even though they were rooted took the one from Verizon OTA and they can't written to previous bootloader, if he took upgrade from Verizon no way turn back... As far as I know if he installed from xda Rom yes incluide yours rom that is really nice indeed

I'm afraid there is nothing you can do if you took the update. As far as I know it patches all root methods. So If your on OF1 from Ota by Verizon they upgraded your bootloader and now your stuck with stock verizon without Root. [emoji45]

To down grade to previous versions........ the only way that can be done is if you have the OC1 .pit file (mapping file) and the other files ...... without the .pit file it cannot map to a previous version.
In other words......... without the .pit file it cannot be done ........ Sorry
