[ROM][L][5.0.2] PAC-Man-ROM [Mod Please Close] - Nexus 5 Android Development

* * * * * * * * * Thread suspended * * * * * * * * * * * *
Sorry guys I have been completely stupid and mis understood the PAC-man rules about releasing public builds at this time.
There is some very plain and simple text at the end of each build stating the rules which I have read once, misunderstood and ignored since.
This is completely my mistake and I completely respect the work from the PAC-man team and any rules they place upon said work.
Apologises guys but we can look forward to the official release.
Could a mod please close the thread

@pops106
So, as the official maintainer for the Nexus 5 for PAC-man Roms, I'm going to ask who are you, and why this is being released?
There are reasons why we haven't done a full public release yet... If you want to build personal builds for yourself, then by all means. But DO NOT DISTRIBUTE THEM. It's even written out, plain as day in the script output, when the build finishes:
https://github.com/PAC-man/android_vendor_pac/commit/1b8c030f208b01b5a34b5916e97c1bfec039b306
Please remove this thread and your builds that have been uploaded. Thanks.

Really? We're the bad guys because we have a product that we don't feel is ready for wide spread distribution? Like I said, if you are smart enough to set up a build environment and build, feel free. But don't distribute.

Of course the source is out there to compile, anyone can do it, there are tutorials that will hand hold you most of the way, but there is a huge difference between Private builds and releasing this to the public.
Also this is against the XDA rules as the PAC-developers have stated at the end of the build

which in turn the OP violated this xda rule
http://forum.xda-developers.com/announcement.php?a=81 said:
12. Using the work of others.
If you are developing something that is based on the work of another Member, you MUST first seek their permission and you must give credit to the member whose work you used. If a dispute occurs about who developed / created a piece of work, first try to settle the matter by private message and NOT in open forum. If this fails, you may then contact a Moderator and provide clear evidence that the work was created by you.
Convincing evidence will result in the copied work being removed. If there is no clear evidence that it was you who created the work, then in the spirit of sharing, all work will remain posted on the forums.
As an addition, developers have the right to hold exclusivity over their work for as long as it is deemed necessary by that developer. However, if the work is claimed as exclusive, it must remain as such. No selective sharing will be allowed (ie, allowing certain people to use it and not others). If the developer decides to start sharing the work with others, the work automatically becomes available for all to use, albeit with the relevant credit displayed.
When permission has already been given, unless there is a very valid reason, it cannot be revoked (same applies to major updates on the work). Under that same premise, permissions cannot be denied unless the work is exclusive or under extreme circumstances.
In plain English: If you want to keep your work exclusive, go for it. However, if you are going to share your work, do it fairly.
These rules apply to all software posted on XDA (including but not limited to ROMs, RUUs, apps, games, kernels, themes, icons, etc) unless that software comes with a license that waives these rules.

You can double check that these are the rules by following the links in the quotes i posted.

I use my phone as a hotspot but I can't connect stuck at obtaining IP address and I'm in the latest build.

Guys this is completely my bad, please vent all anger at me.
It is honestly plain as day when the build finishes in big red text, as I said I have just glanced at it once as I was in the middle of building different ROMs and got it wrong.
I can completely understand where they are coming from with this they dont ask for any kind of donations or anything along those lines and just want to make sure there hard work is ready to be released properly.
They made it very clear and then someone like me makes a mistake and sticks it up on the web before they are happy with it.
Right or wrong doesn't matter it is really just unfair on my part to be releasing it.
Let's just look forward to official builds.

Like a boss.
Anyone know where I can get themed or inverted gapps for CM7?
congrats man! you deserved. If need any help, feel free to ask
Congrats.
I installed the rom, and for some reason my contacts won't show up. I've added them from my google account, and that didn't work, so I added them from an export I had on the sd card and still nothing. Any suggestions.
The contacts updated. I was wondering if there is a way to get the blur email app on here. I like the style of the blur app. It's convenient when you want to send an email that the compose button is right on the initial opening of the email. You don't have to hit the setting button to pick compose.
Since this is a brand new thread, I'll be nice.
No feature requests, and especially not Blur integration requests, are to be on this thread. This is pure CM7, no more, no less. This is not a custom BLUR rom distribution, and this is especially not a support thread.
Tl;dr: no.
Thanks understood
So, any major differences between this version of CM7 and the one cougar is working on?
Just curious.
Will you be doing a cm9 now? You and cougarcougar have done such a great job on your solo builds of cm7 I can't wait to see a cm9 from you

I don't feel my time would be well-spent on writing patches for a system that runs at BEST with heavy hacks, at worst with heavy UGLY hacks, and you can add to that the fact that there's features I want to bake in CM7 that i need to concentrate on, such as a unified settings-integrated protocol switcher (CDMA/CDMA+GSM/GSM Only/Whatever the f else).
Right now, spreading myself on two different tasks would be at best not useful, since I have some difficulties focusing on tasks as it is.
But don't worry. I promise to try my hand at the cold dessert as soon as nVidia and Sprint/UScc release/leak ICS-fully-compatible binary blobs for the sunfire. I mean, I _did_ make it run some months ago. It just was as useful as a baby that just learned to walk: all over everywhere and soo f'in cool, yet not exactly useful because there's so many parts missing it's not even funny (for example, speech in a baby's case, and audio in the Sunfire's case)
pure CM7 is the way to go! i hate tweaked out and themed roms.
Everytime I reboot the phone I forget to ok the com.android.phone fc. Once I realized it my phone blew up with texts and missed calls from the wife, basically berating me for hacking my phone...lol. I told her she's missing out, and she told me I'm missing out on her trying to call me, which is the point of having a phone. She's not sold yet, but I'm sure I will soon. Thanks for the hard work.

Support
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our goo.im page linked above. It's new, but expanding fast. Just like us!
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Ask a question on our IRC channel. Connect to #teamcarbon on irc.freenode.net or click here. You'll find several other Carbon fans and usually one or more devs as well. Please be polite.

Remember, every penny you send to us goes right back into the rom. It's used for hardware, server costs, etc - all the things that help us make Carbon better with every release. Your support means the world to us! If you've enjoyed Carbon, please consider a donation toward this goal. Thank you, and we hope you continue to enjoy Carbon!

You guys get all the good sh*t.. lol.. Definitely a lotta jealous..
As I see this has ribbons and appwindow, right, cause the appwindow coding doesen't play good with the xposed framework and I really can't live without xprivacy and a few other mods. or did they make them work together?
EDIT: Also can someone test if installing the xposed framework makes the startup of systemui take a lot, cause I really don't want to have to restore all my 600+ apps using titanium after flashing the rom and seeing it does?
EDIT2: Ended up testing it anyway and no problem, so I can say I am happy to see this and great rom.
One of the screenshots show 2 users. Multi-user works?
I never thought that I will see one day a ROM with more features than AOKP and very good also

ahh sorry i mis-read your other post
Just as a note about the diff between CM10.1 and AOSP ramdisks
The problem is only the dalvik that CM10.1 uses
so as soon as the rom uses the CM10.1 dalvik you MUST
use a CM10.1 ramdisk.

Surely you must have encountered some issues at this stage of Android L for OPO.

Actually, I haven't gotten any bugs yet (I don't know what the main bugs are in CM12)... I know the latest Video not recording issue was fixed and I tested it myself. That is all I think...
Ambient display not working.
GPS icon stays on top with some Gapps.
Contacts & message app FC when clicking on contact picture.
No deep sleep with some Gapps.
etc...
Can't recall all of them.

Well you're going to have to wait, I have school stuff coming up and maybe a Rubik's cube competition. The next release should have more than just CFlags though!

NVM it's probably my connection problem. I would disconnect at 3% of the upload until I changed some connection settings. I'm at 45% :fingers-crossed:

DEVICE DISCLAIMER:
I DON'T OWN THE DEVICE. TESTING ON THE SPECIFIC DEVICE WILL BE LIMITED TO TESTERS
Krexus was born out of a simple necessity. The latest releases of stock Android (namely lollipop and marshmallow) were pretty close to my idea of a perfect android ROM, yet missing some elements, which are meant to be included in stock Android, at least for me. Starting from a clean AOSP environment, only specific features and fixes are included, which are personally tested ON HAMMERHEAD, with one goal in mind. To create a stock like android ROM, "as it should be".
This means, and I mean it, a ROM like how stock nexus image should be, for me.
This isn't going to get bloated. Most UI "features" are already there.
This isn't going to start picking commits relentlessly, I will test them personally and only add things that 1) work like they should 2) would fit in a stock ROM.
This isn't going to be updated very quickly. Only security and bug fixes will be pushed out ASAP.
This is going to follow Google's & AOSP guidelines as closely as I can.
And lastly, this is first and foremost a ROM about Nexus 5 (hammerhead). This is my personal device, this is where I test the ROM. angler, bullhead, flo, mako, SHAMU builds are provided AS-IS. With that in mind, I have to say that the google+ community has been flashing shamu builds for a looong time and hasn't come up with anything, so I thought I'd share it here, too.
That said, welcome aboard!

weird but after full wipe ,all works as expected

@KreAch3R I'm glad you left the double tap to wake feature in. To be honest, I like this feature when it is automatically included in the ROM rather than have to try and either find a custom kernel or use kernel auditor.
The double tap to wake is working very well with this build. Last build did not work as well

That was the reason I wanted to leave it in, too. Krexus tries to never deviate from stock, only fix/include necessary stuff. I'm glad it works well now, it seems that I was missing some commits on the device tree, but I found them after @BeansTown106 let me know about them.
This is one of the best stock rooted ROMs out and runs great. Thank you for bringing it to us here on XDA.

Cool, thanks for making it work with encryption. I never wanted to mess with backing everything up, and formatting. I've only gone back and forth between 2 ROMs cause that's all that supported encryption.
Very nice. :fingers-crossed:

I can find 14 I can find 21, the only 20 I found was 56Meg which is incorrect, as it can not be complete. From what I understand Beta 20 was pulled and replaced by 21. Try a search for "Beta 20" or "OB20" in this forum it matches exactly nothing, except for the Firmware thread which only has the 56Meg version which is not a full install-able version. Can 21 which does have multiple links work?

Hey thanks for updating this for us. I'm on the 11/5 release of Liquid from the previous thread, and I know clean flash is always recommended, but can I dirty flash? The Telegram channel in OP is the same as the previous thread, just unsure if it's the same rom or not??
I just ve flashed yesterday the bliss rom and I miss some features (importants for me). Can this rom power on/off the torch with the power button? the double click to it opens the camera (it's good this feature too! bliss have it this). Do you've some problem in install widgets? I can only install a 10% of my widgets, no one's can t help me, we think is a known bug (important!).
Thanks!
Is there any issue if we are on OB21 firmware?

Anybody that's installed this having trouble with receiving calls? I can make them, but my phone does not ring or receive incoming calls. I've selected fast t mobile for apn. But no dice.

I'm in love with this ROM, unfortunately I'm unable to connect my USB C headphones (Xiaomi USB ANC earphones). On Stock OOS with arter97 kernel it wasn't a big deal. How can I fix this problem?
Thank you for your amazing work!
