After rooting my note i717, I noticed xEbay app doesnt show ANY images of items anymore, just a square. And now, even the xda app is now just holding on the splash but never goes any further. The other day, my buddy asked me to root his note i717, so I did, took it back to him, and as I was leaving, I remembered and asked him to check his ebay app if the images of items show and nope, same as mine, just squares. Any ideas besides starting my phone all over again?

Try installing plan b on your device from the android market online. It will let you track it if it has data still on

Phone is still active. I've been installing apps on it remotly and been allowing then to I.stall paid apps so they they feel like keeping it. Due to a failed root attempt with odin a while back the phone has no recovery and hence no way to delete any user data. Factory data reset won't work until a new recovery is flashed. It's off right now but I keep calling it and it appears he turns it on every couple hours to mess with it. I have all info to be able to track it but the beat I've done is within 2500 feet. I need an apk that will remotly turn gps on to narrow the search. Can't wait till I find this guy im not happy about my wifes rights beinf violated like this. Thank you for anyone's help. Bounty stands as its cheaper than the deductible.

I 2nd the use of Plan B. It should be able to turn on the GPS automatically after it is installed, and you can restart the locate process through a text message to your phone.
Installed.....no email. I even texted locate like the instructions said. Nothing..

Try this: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.antivirus.trial&feature=more_from_developer . This trial version lasts long enough for you to be able to locate it (I suppose). Notice this feature: "Find your lost or stolen phone and locate it on a map" . It should help you.
Is there any options for if they happened to change to Google account linked to the phone?

Yeah no go man. I know who it is name DOB. My wife works at a blood bank that pays out to donors she gets her car broken into. I traced the phone to a local town ten minutes away. Got it down to an address. Then at 700 am lost find finder sends me the same gps location as the night before. Same place but this time not in the yard the dot on the map is right on the house. 704 I'm in the car. Arrive to find an empty sqwat house for doing dope. Show pictures of people who we googled from that street that had mugshots from previous arrests to the curious neighbors. The point out one picture as a guy who used to live there. Said he comes at night still and gets high. Ok now I'm interested in this dude. Was told by a niegbor check some apartments on the other side of town. Get there and ask around to people leaving to work. Find a guy who says yeah they're always in apartment x... Then same gentleman tells us his car was broken into same way samething grab the purse walk away grab wallet out of purse and anything looks good and drop the purse in a bust ten feet away. Check records at wufes work same guy donated same time phone was stolen. He finished donating at 240 at 250 on camera you can see them breaking into the car at her work with just there back to the camera. No face shots. Go figure police are worthless. They don't even want the address we gps located. I'm close to this guy I tell ya. I'm gonna find him recovered phone or not and get ours . Just still trying to track the phone out.

I'm trying to find a locking app similar to the lock on my iPad, when the phone is rebooted or sleep for more the 2 hours the iPad requires a code to unlock. But during normal use it's just normal unlocking. Anybody know of a Android app that would be similar?
Thought my note slipped out my pocket the.other afternoon while working on my truck and didn't realize I didn't have it till later that night, the last time I used it was outside my apartments with my truck and I automatically thought it fell and somebody found it and took it. Tried to call it but it just kept going straight to voicemail so that definitely made me think it was stolen since my.phone wasn't off before. But I.found it later under the seat in my truck haha. I want a.locking app so if it does get taken and the person turns it off and tried to turn it back on then it will ask for a code and lock them out

I don't know if it supports 2 hours as an interval, but the stock rom does this. Home, menu, settings, security, I think. Somewhere in there is the option to set the time after which your PIN will be requested.

A while back I lost my streak and I'd call it and it ring and go to voice mail except once someone rejected the same call and I knew someone had it. Lookout has an app that's called plan b that you can install remotely and will activate your gps so you can find it. Long story short I retrieved my streak and the guy who took it and wouldn't return it ended up with a broken car window. I also believe there's an app out there that'll completely lock your phone down too. Check lookout's suite of software, they may have something for you

Try out Cerberus it can remotely take pictures using the front or back camera and it emails the picture to you, bad guys face is there and also can use the back camera to figure out where they are. GPS locator remotely wipe SD and phone memory and also can set up other people's numbers (that you trust obviously) that you can send a wipe message to your phone from as well through text.
And its only $4 for a lifetime license.
okay so while i was at the fair tonight, i rode one too many rides and threw up on myself and had to go home (lame me) and in the process of getting in the car i stripped down to my boxers and shoes in order to not get vomit all in my car. well stupid me forgot to take my phone, which i had layed on top of the car, off of the top of the car before i left and didn't realize it until i got home... my question is does anyone know any apps that can decently ping the phone without the gps being on (or turn the gps on and do it) it has my google account on it so i can load apps but i can't set them up... please help i just got this phone last week and love it...
There are plenty of free apps in the play store under 'lost phone' - everyone I've ever tried you had to setup on your phone first. Do you have insurance? Either way brother, good luck finding it.

I unlocked my phone and then it went black and I could feel it pulse once a second. I took out the battery and put it back in and it still does the same thing.. I cant even boot it up...help plz

Power button issue, had something similar. I was able to work it out, but if you have warranty, get them to take care of it.
I had to call at&t and use my insurance. I complained so much that they only made me pay $100 and I get another 12 month warranty....so im good...Thx for the responses

Had that happen to my first note, it did it on and off for a few weeks, then one night it wouldn't turn on anymore, just vibrate. Took it to the local store and luckily had 4 days left in the year warranty, took it to the support center and they gave me a replacement.
Almost got a note 2, guy grabbed on instead of a note and only noticed when the back cover didn't fit. Would of been awesome but I wouldbt of been able to keep it without telling them. Haha

I have a dead pixel in the very farmost bottom right corner of the screen. its not hugely noticeable, but its one of those once i see it, i cant unsee it things. I have download dead pixel fixers from the play store and let them run for the 30 minutes (and some even longer) but it will not fix it. Heres the weird thing though.
When i reboot my phone, as the phone is shutting down, the dead pixel is no longer there. When the phone starts back up, its not there either. But after about 10 hours or so, it will show itself again.
What should i do? Will it get worse?
Are you stock? I had a weather app produce the same reoccurring issue, deleted it, and it was gone. If you're still running stock and there are no apps in question take it into Sprint.

i didnt buy it through sprint and i already had my device replaced by samsung
