[Q] Blue Tint on Top Left of Screen!!!

hey guyz
ive been using my S2 for a month now!
Yesterday i noticed on a plain white screen @ full brightness a blue tint on the top left side of my screen.
Does anyone else have this problem ? Is it a Problem ?
Thanks
nikoceballos
Yes, I have the same trouble... blue tint over left corner... its not very annoying, but its there... not correspond to a top smartphone... I think its hardware. I'll let you know when I take it to warranty...
Have it replaced, the S2 is quite known to have some screen quality issues.
Guys, same here... Very annoying while reading a book...
@nikoceballos : Any luck with sammy?..
I have the same problem, once i noticed it, it became annoying when reading documents, I've contacted the agents to get it replaced, awaiting their answer.
Its definitely a hardware issue, the agents first tried to convince me its normal by showing me another Galaxy S and SII phones that have it.
Blue tint on top left
Same issue here yaar...blue tint on the top left...Not that much annoying but yaa its there...otherwise performance is superb..plz post a solution if somebody finds any...i wont go for a replacement since i heard as replacement they wont give u a sealed new piece....
thanks and regards

Black spots/ink marks

Hi!
Got my S3 few days ago, and already in first evening noticed annoying black spots in bottom of screen. At first thought that I broken it, but searching found many threads about this issue.
As i understand practically everyone has them, there's just difference in quantity.
I took picture of my screen displaying black screen in dark:

What do you think? Guy at shop said that this is normal amoled issue.
I wouldn't mind about little spots, as i cant really see them, but those lines on right are really visible when watching videos in dark, even in not complete darkness, and is really annoying.

I would say exchange it. I have this issue too but only visible when I'm in very dark environment lighting. And it only visible when im running gray background too. I have 2 ink mark visible to eyes and 3 very small one which have to squint my eyes.

I think you'd be lucky if they changed it. I've seen much worse - mine, for example. Unless you always use your phone in the dark I wouldn't worry IIWY.
Saw some pictures with muck less spots, so i thought that mine has lot.
I guess the I'll have to live with it.
Although this doesn't seem normal if you take into account price tag of this phone.
This seems to be common issue with phones using the amoled display. As long as it doesnt cause problems during normal usage of the phone, it will most likely not get replaced. There is a very high possibility that the replacement will also have the same issue.
Yours are fine, I've seen worse from my friends S3.
I would rather having this problem over black crush/pixelation. Driving me crazy. Hopefully it'll be fixed by software update since screen filter app's able to solve it.

gt-9300 weird display problem

hey there, i have the international variant of s3, and so does my brother, we don't have access to a repair shop ( i live in lebanon) we are in the same rom xdllib, same kernel, same mods .
the problem is i recently noticed his phone has much better colors( mine has everything a little washed) in fact looking at my phone from an, angle looks like his, while looking straight displays my colors not as good.
i dont have the pink tint problem, but i have the infamous ink marks . and it seems that i cant manage to fix it, tried a factory reset, but no luck
I'm sorry if this is already discussed but i don't have enough time to read the q&a
I'm sorry but i cant post comparison images, i don't have a camera good enough to show the difference
any help please?

Every AMOLED display has ink marks.
Anyways, turn auto brightness off and crank that brightness to max, get in settings -> screen mode -> and choose dynamic.
You are pretty much good to go.
already done that, the problem.isnt with the brightness but with the color display
other s3's I've seen have mote vivid color
thx anyways

Have you tried the 'screen mode' ?
If yes and it is still washed out, return it.
yep i tried it, and the problem wasnt here when i bought it, it began at some point. plus we cant return phones in my country
could it be something related to the pink tint thing?

No, if it had the tint it should be from the beginning.
Did you expose the screen to excessive heat / direct sunlight for extended periods or left it on for extremely long amounts of time?
Did you use any kind of solution on the protective glass?
i rarely clean it with pure alcohol, and for the other things: absolutely no

Black Spots in S3 screen. Is it a problem?

Just bought a S3 weeks ago. I thought AMOLED display can go completely off when displaying just pure black . I tested it out with a full screen black picture. The display isn't going fully black it seemed like the display was ON with mild lighting. But the strange thing that I observed are some black spots(or random shapes) during this test. PLEASE REFER THE ATTACHED PICTURE TO GET A ROUGH IDEA OF WHAT I"M TRYING TO SAY. Is this showing something wrong about the display. What's your suggestion?
My suggestion is you search for the many other exact same posts before posting a new one, it's normal to see uneven black in low light.

just bought it and i will sell it

IPS screens has a little gray on black surfaces. Thats a common problem of lcd panels. It is a lot more brighter compared to amoled. But amoled is a little more better. Your problem is with the screen. Not the phone. So stop yelling and blaming the phone. I dont have the problems which you have. But some people i know had the same issue and they gave their devices to service. Guess what? Service took the old and gave the new devices with the latest update. They say they dont have problem.
Please, do not blame anything without searching. You are just being a crybaby and a hater. I dont even think you know anything about android devices...

The screen is washed out and too bright by default but fortunately you can fix this with the "white balance" option under screen settings.
Hope it helps.
I prefer this screen but not a total black than the Amoled screens which they are marked by the images that last a long time on screen.
After having tweaked the screen via the white balance, I have to honestly say it's the best screen I've had on compared to all previous phones I've owned.
Previously I had the Xperia Z3, however, decided to upgrade to the C5 Ultra due to the larger screen and thin bezels. Honestly, the C5 has a bettr screen than the Z3.
Colours, contrast and black levels are fantastic and the balance between everything is spot on.
Here is my white level configuration which looks superior to the default one:
Red 24
Green 5
Blue 49
Image enhancement turned off since it is too vibrant, similar to amoled which colours are too strong and not accurate.
Now please don't tell me the screen is $hit when trying the above settings.
I can even upload several pictures taken of my phone by another phone when playing a 5Gb 1080P Bluray movie. Looks mindblowing.
Refer to THIS page and scroll down to the bottom, PLEASE tell me what is wrong with the colours??
