How to improve capacity of your SG Ace Battry

I have tried this trick and it works on my SG Ace:
1. Open your phone and charge it for 7-8 hours.
2. Shut off your phone, wait for at least 2 minutes and charge it again for 1 hour.
3. Turn on your phone and wait for at least 2 minutes and charge it for 1hour.
You will notice an improvement on the life and capacity of your battery.
Hope this will help.

Before i using The Ace Kernel Beta 3, but the carger of battery no work's like i want, and i reflash BlackHawk Kernel by Ketut. (Thks Ketut).
In pic, at 01:28 i reflash BlackHawk Kernel, before i'm using The Ace Kernel Beta 3.
does it really improve the battery?
"Perform shallow discharges. Instead of discharging to 0% all the time, lithium-ion batteries do best when you discharge them for a little bit, then charge them for a little bit. The table at the right, from Battery University, shows that discharges to 50% are better for your battery's long-term life than, say, small discharges to 90% or large discharges to 0% (since the 50% discharges provide the best number of cycles-to-usage ratio)."

S5 Slow charge while ON!

I was thinking that the S5 was charging a lot slower than my S4. I was always amazed at how fast the S4 would charge with phone on like from 1-100% in about 1.5 hours. The S5 is taking about 3 hours from say 1-100%.
After checking with GSAM Battery Monitor Pro the S4 was pulling 1900mA of its included 2 amp charger. The S5 only draws 1200mA on the same charger. I also checked the S5 with its included 2 amp charger still just pulling at 1200mA.
I did this on two (2) S5's and two (2) S4's.
I guess some one with a volt meter setup could test this more scientifically but from a real world stand point I notice the difference. Not a hugh deal really as the S5 battery last a lot longer so I guess it balances out if your not charging as many times.
A benefit to this that I've noticed is the phone does not get no where near as hot as the S4 does during heavy use while charging.
Just wondering if kernel apps like Faux or others would be able to increase the draw with like fast charge for those times when running say GPS and music and need to charge?

S5

Battery went completely dead today all the way to shutdown. Plugged it in and restarted it @ 12:40pm. I didn't get back to it in an exact hour (see pic). It was charged to 74% in around 1hr 15min.
With that said. Plus another WIN for the S5 and Samsung. That quick charge technology that was rumored must be a reality if it's charging this fast with little more than a 1/3 less current draw than the S4 (1200mA vs 1900mA).

Did you find a solution to how to charge the S5 with 1800ma while on?

Junk battery most likely. Best stock sized replacements are anker. Last time I looked you could get 2 for $20 plus external charger.

polarcell is also a great replacement battery ya know
After flashing away very happily I got a similar problem and it happened literally from one day to the other. I flashed the kdz firmware with lg flash tool and the problem went away, I got my 4h SOT back.
I opened the thread below regarding this a few days ago in case you want to check it.

Battery Life
Battery Life depends from a lot of facts.
Often it is stored too long (see manufacturing date) ore comes deeply discharged.
In the last case it loose capacity very fast. State of charge should be 10 % ore more.
Its a orginal battery.
Date is 2015-08-02.
is there a good brand battery?

That's not the problem whatsoever, as he have a low battery percentage and that's how batteries work. When charged it's 4.3-4.4V and when they are put to use, voltage slowly falls to the cut-off point which is 3.7V on most Lithium-ion batteries.
The issue that OP have may be related either to an insufficient cable or software issue. I would recommend to charge while phone is turned off to see if QC works and if so, factory reset the device or change the rom.

[Discussion] Battery life/Screen-On-Time contest

SOT-Thread
Hey guys!
This thread is for posting screenshots of your highest Screen-On-Times (SOT)!
The screenshots can be from any ROM, but it should be from one charge without any charging in between. Maybe I'll try to maintain a small leaderboard, but I can't guarantee anything.
Cheers!

These are my two best SOTs. This thread gotta start somewhere!
I got a new battery and got this massive SOT of 11h 29min! To be fair, I don't daily drive the phone right now, so there is no SIM card or Whatsapp, but the general usage of the phone was normal.
The phone is running crDroid 6 with the stock kernel.

Where did you get the battery?
By the way, I am getting 3 days and 10 hours of SOT on my spare Lenovo P2 with 90% wear level
I got the battery from Polarcells. They advertised it with a capacity of 3200mAh which obviously wasn't the case, but it had just under 3000mAh so it was still a good upgrade to my degraded battery.
I considered getting a P2 back then (~2017) but chose against buying one because they were so hard to obtain. Do you mean actually 3 days and 10 hours (82 hours) of screen-on-time or 10 hours over 3 days?

The latter. 82h SOT would be impossible.
The P2 is a beast. I think I could go 4 days without charge back in 2017.
