Hello All,
So I was telling my co-worker how much better my HTC desire was after I rooted and loaded a custom ROM on. I setup mine with App2SD using the Noob proof Desire Guide with the AceSMod007 2.3.3 rom
He asked me if the device can still boot if you take out the Micro SD card, So i tried it an the phone would not boot and seemed to loop. I put the Micro SD card back in and upon booting up again alot of my app's are not working. And i get low storage messages.
I'm guessing booting it up without the partition there has stuffed up the mounting...? How do i resolve it, do I use CWM-AlphaRev Recovery to fix it up and remount the card? (just guessing)
thanks very much
I ended up just reloading the ROM, thanks anyway
Okay, so I rooted my at&t E970 using this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1941699 . I mainly did the root because I wanted to transfer some of my apps to my SD card. I download App2sd and another transfer program and they both have difficulty finding my SD card in some way. How can I fix this? My other android phone is rooted and I use those apps to do transfers all the time. I can play music and see photos that are on my sd card. AND I HAVE A LOT OF MEMORY. Any help? Thanks in advance.
***I am very lost. Shouldn't I be able to boot into recovery after rooting? I can't do that. I installed "Rom Manager" and tried booting into recovery from there but all I got was the operated Android robot picture. Can someone guide me the right way to root this phone?

You would need to unlock bootloader in order to have custom recovery. Freegee app is $1.00 or pc version is free. I am not sure if stock recovery is accessible or useable. Sorry I can't answer more of your questions.
Alright, thanks! I installed that and successfully booted into recovery. I know I'm rooted and I have clockwordmod. I just need to know how to move my apps to my SD card. It still shows that my sd card is "emulated" according to Apps2sd
any luck?

My situation
I accidentally flashed a hox for my kernel ( this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2074244 ). Now i am stuck on the flash screen also i can't access the sd card from computer but i can still send commands into usb fast boot. I don't have a zip on the sd card to flash boot in. I have a backup ab file of my data and apks but i can't use it inside the hox. I went to the dev section and trying everyone kernel but i am stuck on the flash screen. I thought i could fix it by formating so i formated sd and card and system. It made it terribly worst (lost all data).
Additional information I had a look at this thread and it seems to be useful http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1630459&page=17

When i use a ruu to update i get error 140. My image is version 1.7 but the latest RUU i can find is 1.4 :/
I found out that you can push files into the sd card if you can't access it by computer http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1667929 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=752279 but i got a error read only file system

its a htc one x+ international btw. The phone doesn't support openning it so i can't get the sd card or batteyr out. The computer detects the sd card but i can't access the driver. It just beeps that it reads it. I can go into bootloader fine but everyt kernel i use just gets me stuck on the flash screen. I formated the sd drive but it didnt work still and i lost my data on it. i have it backed up though.

First sorry for my bad english.
I have a huge problem i installed a custom rom on my Desire x and after 4 months any of my 5 SD cards got detected.
I thought first the module is broken.
So i decided to install a new rom (i know i cant do it without sd card but i tried it anyway) then i saw cwm and twrp is still detecting my sd cards it have to be a software problem.
Now i realy dont know what to do :crying::crying::crying: please help me out.
Edit:
And i tried some roms always same
Anybody
hello?
CWM and TWRP detected your cards correctly? With all their files on? Are these cards detected correctly in other devices? If so, then it's likley just a failed flash or something similar. Please say how you installed the new ROM.
Check the file system on the sdcards, maybe reformat them.

So you flashed a rom for a completely different device and expected it not to brick your phone?
Your best bet is to find the stock rom for you device and pray that it works. Don't hold out to hope though.
Also before flashing your device take a week and do your research. Flashing a device is not something done because it is cool. There are very real risks to it.
