Hello,
I have a 7" Touch Screen LCD AVH-P7500DVD and I want to connect my Android smartphone or tablet to it.
In other words, what I want to do is to get the image in the LCD and also being able to control it using the touch Screen on the LCD, basically like a tablet where the screen is this LCD.
How can I do this?
It doesn't matter if I have to buy things and just want to know I can I do this because I have this in my car and it would be nice to have an Android TV there with GPS and all of that. Well I could use chromecast, and make a hotspot in the smartphone I want to use but then I wouldn't be able to control it using the LCD.
Thank you,
TM

I'm quite happy with my Folio now that it's running FolioMod, however, my biggest remaining concern is the screen. The viewing angle is pretty lousy, so I've started looking into possibilities of changing screen.
What do you hardware hackers say? Is there any good replacement screen out there that would fit and that also would work with existing drivers and so on?
interesting question!!
let see what hardware gurus says
But is it possible to buy a screen that it worth it (good and not to expensive) ? I had a quick look on the web, it seems that the only IPS screen that can be easily found is the iPad one.
My Folio 100 suffered an accident and the LCD got cracked. A big part of the LCD is not working.
Other than that, the tablet is working properly, the touchscreen works, the tablet boots and you can launch applications and use them to some degree.
Is it possible to replace the screen? Where can I find a replacement LCD for this tablet? Would it be possible to replace it with a better quality LCD?
Im not sure you can do it yourself. You have to find a lcd that matches the connector used in the folio and uses the same driver, has the same size and resolution. On top of that if you open the folio you void your warrenty. Speaking of that, cant you get it fixed where you bought it?

Hi, this is my first post but i follow you from years
My i9100 fall down and since this moment i have the black screen, but the phone works (call, TOUCH PANEL, and all the other things). I would change the display, but there is no signal about lcd broken: glass is perfect, touch panel is perfect and lcd don't look like a broken one, but it's expensive and i want to be sure that it is broken. Are there some program that allow me to see hardware issue from the pc with usb, or i must buy the mhl adapter and try it to the tv?
sorry for my bad english and thanks for helps
Hi,
The screen of my Archos G9 80 Turbo is broken/cracked (touch works perfectly though).
I've been searching screen displays online for it but can only find displays for the non-turbo version. Does anyone know if they are compatible?
Thank you
As far as I know people change screens, and not only on the Archos, selected by number LCD matrix. But the touch screen can be problems. We must look carefully at the controller, or you may get broken touchscreen.

You should know the model of screen display before buying it. Then take a look at panelook.com
http://www.panelook.com/EJ080NA-04B_Innolux_8.0_LCM_overview_12714.html
and compare the display caracteristics there. The main ones must be same. For example, Archos G9 80 Turbo has the following displays which are compatible: EJ080NA-04B, EJ080NA-04C etc. This 2 models compatibility is garanteed. But you can also look inside datasheets and also use description from panelook.com to find more compatible models of displays.
As mentioned in the previous post screen displays are not a big problem. But you can crack your touch screen panel during disassembling of the front cover without special equipment and without knowledge how to properly disassemble it. In 99.99% cases you'll damage your touch screen panel too if you would be using bare hands. So, be careful. There's a way how to disassemble this model easier described there (how to remove display panel, in Russian):

Hi All,
Here is the issue. xperia z3 |compact needed a new screen after a fight with a car. I bought replacement and installed. However, although the image is good and the digitizer responsive, if I touch the screen centre ('show touch' is on) the touch and screen response line up but further out from the centre, the more out of alignment the touch and response is. It is as if the 4.6 inch digitizer has 4.3 inch firmware in it. Have factory reset and tried calibration apps. Is there a way to tweak this, perhaps by an Input Device Configuration file (*.idc) or to force Android to change the touch position via an app?
I very carefully installed this screen to be waterproof, so I am loathe to start again with a new screen if I can avoid it.
Any help most welcome
