Tried following this tutorial for CM12 but I didn't read clear enough, bad part on me.
Tutorial - /watch?v=oxlY0OGJ5zo (forums don't allow new users for link, the link is to rootjunky's LG G2 Lollipop CM12 ROM)
Mine is a LG G2 Mini D618
Did all the steps then when I tapped recovery in quick boot the phone shut down and never turned on again.
It just shows battery logo with red exclamation point in the middle when I press the power button. It doesn't charge on any charger and doesn't allow download mode. When I plug it the red exclamation disappears but it still won't charge.
If anyone can please help me, it would be a very appreciated one.
Thank you in advance xda developer forums
so you flashed a rom for an lg g2 in a lg g2 mini, which have totally different hardware? if you can't access download mode i think you can't do anything to save the phone
did the PC recognize the phone? at least in qpst mode?
The pc doesn't recognize the phone, the phone doesn't start but opens for a while then and black screen again, no backlight

Hard brick and it's no way back. You have to take it to service to change your phone's motherboard. If you have varandy, and if you are lucky you will not have to pay.

Thank you. I have contacted my local LG Customer Service and they asked me to bring the official receipt and the unit to their service center. I'll just play dumb and hope that they either replace it with a new unit (it would be sweet) or fix the phone.

Well as the title says i rooted the phone a long time ago. I noticed my phone didn't charge yesterday so I started messing with it and realized it would need to be sent back. so I wanted to start unrooting, but I couldn't connect into flash or usb at all. I did manage to start a flash once , but then it lost connection half way through and the phone doesn't turn on at all now. I can't wiggle usb or anything at all to get it to recognize so I imagine the board or something need to b replaced. question is will sony be able to tell my phone is rooted in its condition and if the replace board i'm in the clear right? thanks guys!

i think if it doesnot turn on they dont bother repairing it.it is happen with a printer i giveback to bestbuy and they replace it right away without even plunging to power.
oh yeah when I say doesn't turn on I mean it vibrates as usual when u try to power on, but it goes no where. no sony logo or anything.
Oh no. Just tell them the truth, hopefully they don't care... wish ur phone good luck...

Well technically rooting the handset does void the warranty. However, if there's no way for it to turn on, I don't see how they'll be able to tell!
Just use sony ericsson update service
I had the same and it worked for me
EDIT: you can download it on the sony ericsson website

I have tried the SE update service and the phone won't go into flash mode because it seems that the usb port is faulty and loses connection. I'm just sending it in and hoping it gets by them. If not I will just pay for the repair I guess.

This happened to me too. USB port was faulty, couldn't charge, couldn't flash. Vibrate on power key and red light flash but no Sony logo or anything. I borrowed a friends fully charged battery and got phone turned on. Entered recovery and wiped everything, system, data and cache. Then sent it off for repair as it was then a blank phone. They just sent me a new one

Thanks....This eases my mind a little. My wife actually has an x10 as well and I tried her battery as well and it won't go anywhere. It just doesn't work so I am fairly confident that they will jsut be repairing or sending me a new one. It goes out tomorrow so my fingers are crossed. Thanks again for the insight everyone.
Update: I called Sony today for an update on my repair and I was told there was no record of my service request. The support agent I spoke to assured me he would call me back by the end of the day with an update. Well I was waiting and UPS arrives suprising me with my phone The packaging was verrrry bad. It was in a flimsy box wrap in some thin styrofoam wrap thing. The box was dented pretty badly, but the phone seemed to be in working order. The best part is they just sent me a straight replacement. So I put sim in and power her up and it's asking for an unlock code...AHHHHHH!!!!!!!! Spoke to Sony, AT&T and Rogers to try and get them to provide one, but they wouldn't give me one. So now I am waiting for a code to be sent to me from an online company. Hopefully will be up and running within the next 24 hours. I'm just happy it was replaced no questions asked. It actually was sent out to me the same day it was received so that's some quick turn around time.
They can always check for root eeven if it doesnt turn on how? Via the sdcard they take it out and plug it into a sdcard reader then onnpc they check for stuff unusual like superuser app or anything revelant lol

And besides, files related to root are not stored on the SD.
From release notes on emma you can see that from 2.11.4 version they added detection of rooted phones..
So answer is yes, they can detect if phone is rooted, ofc if they are able to read data from phone..
I have tried 3 different unlock companies online and none have been able to generate a unlock code for my new phone. This is unreal. I dodged the rooted phone issue easily since they couldn't power on phone, but they sent me back a locked Rogers phone and no luck getting it unlocked yet. This sucks :-(

In short: Black screened, computer will detect as QHS_USBLOAD after failed attempt to restore stock rom using teenybin original AFTER failed attempt to flash CWM Recovery from app. Is there anything I can do?
In long: Hello i recently bought an lg optimus g from at and t. It was the first android phone I've ever owned, and after doing a bit of research I decided to root it. After rooting and doing more research I tried to install Clockworkmod Recovery so I could safely install CM. I got a softbrick (I think) and so then I got the phone to Download mode. I then installed LGPNST the right way, with the correct dls and everything, and tried to restore it with teenybin original. LGPNST got to 87%, error, and i waited 5 seconds, unplugged, and tried to boot to factory settings. Now I've got a permanent black screen and my PC will only detect the phone as QHS_USBLOAD, appearing as a device of 4 components on device manager. I've hit a dead end, found only chinese threads dealing with THEIR optimus g. Am I screwed? Sorry for the long read, and appreciate all the help I can get.
Take it back to AT&T. Preferably a device sevice center. I had the same thing happen to my phone when doing an app update through the Play Store. Screen went black. Thought I had SOD but when I hooked it to the computer it gave the same error you are getting. They gave me a replacement no questions asked. The whole process took about 10 minutes.

Do this. Your phone is hard bricked. Only JTAG can fix it, and that's pointless since the device is still under warranty.

Hey all, my brother bought an LG P769 for T-Mobile from Walmart, he's never been the type to modify any of his technology, so he used his phone like it was out of the box, no root, no bootloader unlocking, or anything. One night, he gets a security error, his hone turns off, and he can no longer turn it on. The soft buttons don't light up, its not the battery, no moisture damage, and the phone is literally useless. He tried calling LG support, they won't replace it for some reason, as far as I know it was running 4.2, though I'm not sure (he's not here to ask, and I doubt he remembers)
Tried the hard reset, no luck.
Tried to do the offline fastboot method, I installed drivers correctly, and selected option 5, and this time it lights up the soft keys, but it never loads the security error screen, so I can't enter s.w upgrade mode. I've tried pressing 5, waiting the 5 seconds with it plugged in and leaving it plugged in without the battery, leaving it plugged in with the battery, and putting the battery in at different times during the 5 seconds and removing it afterwards, none of them boot to the security error screen.
Tried the LG Mobile Support tool, doesn't recognize my device, even though I installed the drivers directly from the tool.
What do I do?
bump
If you can't return it to Walmart and you are out of other options, you can send it in for repair by starting here: https://www.lg.com/us/support/repair-service/schedule-repair
I recently bricked my rooted P769 trying to update to V20H and ended up sending it for repair. They fixed it within a week and sent it back with a note saying they replaced the flash memory. Same phone, remaining warranty still good, now on V20H. Works fine so far.

Hello
I have a similar problem. What if the computer can recognize the phone? When I plug the phone into the computer, I see OMAP4430 under unknown devices. I heard that a dead phone can be revived through fastboot or kdz updater, is that true? I tried following directions on different forums, but some directions ask that usb debugging is turned on but my phone is dead and I can't do that. When I followed some of the fastboot directions, I was only able to install the driver once and couldn't install it a second time.
yeah, USB debugging was a roadblock for me too.

More than likely the hardware just went out, if all you can use is the unofficial fastboot. If that's not the case maybe, just maybe the x & u images (from lelus fastboot tool) are corrupt. Re-download the fastboot zip and compare (md5 sum) x & u bin files. If one of the images are corrupt it won't boot or respond to anything.

UPDATE: still not working
however, using omap4boot-for_optimus-v1.21 i was able to get the capacitive buttons to light up on the front of the device. haven't noticed anything else as far as success with flashing anything.
the steps i took:
1. installed the fastboot drivers as instructed.
2. I ran omap4boot-for_optimus-v1.21 selected option 5, plugged in my phone, the buttons lit up, and it said to unplug the device and wait for S/W recovery mode, which never popped up.
what do i do?
Try this worked for me after trying everything in about 10 min. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2585161
Long story short, I got my phone rooted and decided to try putting kitkat on it using the L9 Recovery Tool found on these forums. I had SuperSu, Busybox, etc.. all working fine until I attempted to reboot using the Recovery Tool. At first, the LEDs would not blink and was able to get to the Android screen but then it just boot cycles. I did something and now when I bootup, the LEDs blink but I am unable to get into Recovery using the minus volume button. If I let it boot normally, I get to the T-Mobile logo and then I get stuck at an Encryption screen with a reset phone button. Obviously the reset button does nothing but just put me back into the same cycle. Now If I press volume down during the blinking sequence, it just sits at the LG logo screen and nothing will happen (i let it sit for hours).
So... I have been searching and searching how to "unbrick" this thing. I have followed the UNBRICk tutorial for the L9 using these forums. I have downloaded the HTTPS LG server software, LG Update Tool software, the 20h_00.KDAZ, etc... I can get the phone to boot into S/W Upgrade mode but the LG software stops at 15% and says my USB is not connected (even though it is). I have re-installed all LG/USB drivers - rebooted - same thing. I tried to update the LG software but I think it's at the latest version.
Basically, I am out of idea's now. I actually bricked the phone yesterday morning and spent all day and all night researching this. I am pretty confident tech geek but I think I am over my head on this one. If the LG Software is not working does that mean it IS bricked? Sorry this is my first time attempting this and obviously I did something wrong...
I have not brought it into T-Mobile because this phone has no warranty and is not purchased through them.
My specs:
T-Mobile (US)
LG P769-20h (updated OTA)
Android 4.1.2
Walmart Prepaid phone (I use my own non-smart sim cut to fit phone)
Hard reset did nothing as well ( Vol Down, Home, PWR keycombo)
I also tried leaving the USB unplugged while still in S/W mode to see if PC would reload drivers (which it did) but still not recognizing the phone as connected to PC
same here bro...even the phone is not getting detected at the service center !!!:crying:
I forgot to mention... at the Encryption screen, I get a popup saying com.android.phone has stopped or something along those lines and then I have to press OK.
Let me just say the whole reason I did this was to justify purchasing a new Android Wear device that requires Android 4.3 or higher but now I am really regretting not doing my homework on this....
@Techgod, I may just end up getting the L90 (prepaid) at Walmart for $160 and sticking my SIM in it until I can get this P769 working again. I am going to bring it into work tomorrow and let the Engineers mess around with it... It can't get any worse right?
The L90 comes with KitKat 4.4 and basically same specs as the P769.
Solution: L90 in hand. Not sold in stores at Walmart but Best Buy had plenty in stock.
Not gonna lie, KitKat is a bit different and I actually prefer the old P769 with JB but oh well. I do like the built-in TV/Cable remote app. Now I can really control Chromecast/Cable/TV with just the phone... goodbye multiple remotes
I still am working on fixing the P769 for use as DIC in my in my truck with ELM bluetooth adapter + torque pro app
Are you sure you're going into recovery/download mode correctly? I had a similar issue, but its fixed now. (In fact I'm sending this on my previously bricked phone.) I am pretty sure download mode is different for LG devices. Power the phone off. Now make sure your PC is on, with the LG mobile support program open. Now plug in the usb end of your cable to the PC, but not your phone. Now hold the volume up button on your phone. While holding that, plug the other end into the phone. It should then show the lg screen, and boot into software upgrade mode. Your computer should install the drivers now Then in the LG support tool, once it says the phone is connected, click the top right dropdown, and do the update option. Hope this helps and good luck!

I am taking out the battery, holding up volume and plugging in the USB to PC. I am not sure if it shows the LG screen first but it goes into S/W Upgrade mode. It shows a grey cicle with 2 yellow arrows inside like a recycle symbol.
It says:
S/W Upgrade
Please wait
while upgrading...
The PC drivers download fine and install. I can see my phone model in the USB description. But when I run the LG software (as administrator) it stops at 15% and says Phone is not connected and then restarts, fails again, repeat..
Not sure what else I can try to do. Any suggestions?
Maybe use another USB cable? It could be broken is some way.

Have you tried flashing the ICS u and x with the @Lelus fastboot method? It does the 15% thing when the software detects JB u and x.
