Dear All
i'm facing an annoying problem with my S6 Edge G925F.
Each time I try to open the camera then a "EVT or CAL error, please change yout test devise" apperars and the camera stucks. I can't take any shot, just forced to close the cam.
In other words, the Cam is not working at all, both rear and front one.
Please, could you any of you suggest me some fixes, maybe via ODIN or something else?

hey guys im hoping you will have some insight to my problem. well i just got the galaxy s ii and its great but i have a problem with the camera. When i open the camera it does not autofocus even though it is on that setting..if i focus on something it remains blurry and if i hold down the shutter key it just comes up with the red box..now strangely enough, if i switch the cam to Video mode it will focus and if i then switch it back to camera mode it WILL focus..so nothing is wrong with the cam but its the software..i tried doing the camera reset and still have the problem..any insight?
checked the focus mode? also in which firmware ur in currently?

Try another camera app, if the problem still persists update your firmware via kies, if it doesnt fix then head to samsung service center
On SGS II there are a lot of different types of camera. I'm talking about the hardware. Make a little google about it. As far as I know, the "OC" type of camera is the worst. Type: *#34971539# and in the menu that will appear check here "Phone/Cam Fw version".

I have an issue regarding s beam. I noticed this on several s3 phones and I really hope that someone solved this one.
When i send a photo via s beam to other s3 phone it connects and send photo but on other phone in gallery it's a black picture and it shows: ''can't load picture''. and this picture is 80b big.
Any solution?

i have galaxy s2 4.1.2 rootbox-jb-i9100i-v2.9 phone and my camera is showing only black screen when i press on camera app, what could be the problem ? kernel ? camera apk ? or rom? i've already tried to change to rom.

I've got the same problem since a few weeks. once a week or so i update to the latest nightly. I even cleared the caches a few times. It does not help.
I can make photo's but when trying to film something, it get's stuck, black screen and stuck. I have to reboot the whole device. It seems to drag the battery down with speed thru the drain.
so maybe it is a bug which slipped in and is not solved for weeks.
before a few weeks ago this was not an issue.

i have a samsung galaxy S2 gt-i9100 the front camera works. but the back camera shows a black screen then after 10 seconds says (unknown error occured) even by other apps always a black screen. thanks in advance for any help.

Hey,
Which ROM are you using? If you're using an official stock ROM, then I guess the problem lies in the camera itself. Maybe, the wiring/connection got damaged. In that case, you might have to pay a visit to the service centre.
If you're using a custom ROM, then try to change your ROM and check that it might be caused due to a bug in the OS that you're using.

Sometimes the camera works but it shows while lines instead of pure white...

Happened to me too at the beginning of the summer. Stock 4.1.2 and the camera suddenly stopped, hard resetted to no avail. One time only opening and closing it worked for a split second, but I was never able to reproduce it.
New camera module necessary?

i have been having this problem since a while back...as the tittle reads my front camera is not working...im on archidroid 3.1.5...before the problem would fix itself after a reboot or so but today nothing seems to be helping i even resotred a samsung stock firmware i had backed up but it just says camera failed...the back camera seems to be working fine though...any fix on this issue guys?
