You should flash it with Flashtool or restore with pc-companion.

when I connect it to the computer the computer doesn't see it. I tried Sony PC companion and it wont detect it either. Will a flash tool recognize it when PC companion wont?

Updating Question

Hi when you guys updated through pc companion, after it finishes preparing and comes up with the screen on how to boot into flash mode. What did u guys do after that? press enter so it would go to the next screen?
This is what i have been doing and the update download doesnt start, it just stays on 0% then the phone boots up as normal.
What am i doing wrong?
Also is there anyway for me to force repair through pc companion, so it will end up repairing my phone into 2.1?

Put the phone into flashmode and continue.
Bump still cant get it working, i restored factory settings, and it still wont work .
It's detected an update through Pc Companion and OTA on the phone.
I can get to the download screen, and it doesnt move from 0% and phone eventually boots on its own.

[Q] "Sony Ericsson" screen freeze :/

I recently installed a Miui ROM (MIUI pRiMe) and, when I rebooted after flashing using xRecovery, the phone freezes on the "Sony Ericsson" loading screen. How do I reverse this and get the phone back to normal?? Thanks for the help!
Restore the backup you made before flashing a new ROM, you did make one didn't you!
If not repair phone with seus or pccompanion

I'm having problems installing this ROM as well. When I flash the zip package I can't flash the kernel nor anything else. Thus, I get stuck on SE's logo too.
As said above, you can repair your device using PC Companion. Click on Update and then select Repair.

if you get the SE screen then it boots....
what you need to do is use pccompanion to repair your phone.
download it and follow the instructions
unless you have unlocked the bootloader you are NOT screwed..calm down and repair
I tried that. PC Companion won't even recognize that there is a phone connected.
Yea, when I clicked repair, I got as far as unplugging everything and holding the back key while plugging in again. After that is said that there was no software available yet. When I tried again, it wouldn't work at all...

[Q] SGP311 stuck on logo screen after root and pixel density change

Hello all,
I wanted to change the pixel density of my Xperia Tablet Z (SGP311), so I rooted it using a script by Bin4ry. It worked fine. Then I used an app, which I forgot the name of, to change the pixel density. Upon rebooting the device, I noticed that it didn't proceed past the Sony logo screen, and kept rebooting over.
I have tried pushing up + power buttons, but the same thing keeps happening. When I plug in the charger, the battery display does pop up.
I can also get it to go into fastboot mode (led turns blue). But without anything showing up on the screen.
flashtool recognizes the device.
That's all the info I could think of. So, could I ask anyone for any suggestions?
Best,
d.

if you tried to put it into phone UI mode... it won´t boot anymore because you can´t change a SONY Rom into Phone mode.
You have to use adb and pull the file "build.prop" and change it back to normal or if you can´t use adb you´ll have to reflash your tablet with flashtool/EMMA or if bootloader is still locked SEUS/PC Companion

Thank you om22 for suggesting EMMA. Flashtool wasn't working for me, but I finally managed to revert back to stock and everything seems to be in order.

please help :( issues over 6 months now

Currently bought a sch-i905 4g lte verizon galaxy tablet.
Boots normally, and functions.
Last night i was writing a bootloader through odin, and accidently had auto reboot checked. I was unable to write the modem/kernel that goes with it and now have a galaxy tablet that boots into the OS just fine.
The problem now is though that i can not get my tablet/computer to communicate in download mode it says "waiting for cable"
as well as my recovery is a black screen of doom.
Through rom manager when boot the tablet up i can see that clock work is installed just not boot properly..
I need some help here guys since this is outside my knowledge of fixing.
i can boot into the android OS, but when i charge it while its on it wont actually charge, the X is over the battery, but if i leave it off i can charge it just fine.

unfortunately when i use download mode, it only shows "waiting for cable" no matter what pc, what driver, and what cable i use.
If i boot into normal android, the drivers load fine, i can transfer files etc . just cant recognize it in download mode.
so without recognition from download mode,
a blanked/blacked out recovery mode
im not sure how to fix it.

its under my impression that hard reset will not fix download mode or recovery mode.
well, i did a factory reset, and now my tablet just goes to the samsung tablet 10.1 and still boots up with an ALL BLACK screen.
once its completely turned on, I can hit the power button to dim it, then i hit the power button and all is well im back to android os.
now you've fixed my battery charging issue while my tablet is on, so i am forever grateful.
Next 2 things to fix:
Download Mode & Recovery

[Q] [HELP] Have I hard-bricked my brand new Xperia Z2?

Okay, I'm not sure exactly what you'll need to know to help, so I'll just tell you what I think is important....
Current situation:
- If I boot the phone normally it freezes at the SONY screen and goes no further.
- If I attempt to boot into recovery mode, it loads the CWM screen (logo in the middle with instructions at bottom), but no actual menu or options. After about 5 seconds, this screen disappears, the phone reboots and then gets stuck on the SONY screen.
- If I connect the phone to the computer in Flashmode Flashtool recognizes it as being connected, but regardless of what I do, after about 2mins the phone reboots, loses connection with the computer, and freezes on the SONY screen as before mentioned.
- If I connect the phone to the computer normally while stuck on the SONY screen, the PC recognizes it though doesn't allow me to do anything to it, and Flashtool says I need to install drivers (I have installed every driver that comes with Flashtool).
How I got here:
- I've rooted the phone
- I've flashed Z2_DooMLoRD_AdvStkKernel_FW-438-v05
- I've unlocked the bootloader (via Flashtool)
- I've installed [Rom][Unofficial]Slim Rom 4.4.4 based on CM11.0, ROM for the Sony Xperia Z2
The phone was okay up until this point, however I wasn't happy with the ROM so I tried to reboot into recovery mode to wipe and install Carbon. This is when the trouble began.
Now it seems I can't do anything :/
Please help. This phone is literally 3 days and it looks like I've completely screwed it >.<
Thanks!

I did try this but can't find a reliable download.
The link posted in XDA forums (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2759934) takes me to MegaUpload and for some reason the download always stalls at 44% (I've tried 3 times).
Just soft brick!!!

You're on the wrong forum mate, for the z2 go here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z2
Please don't try to flash any .ftf file you downloaded from the xperia z forum, as this would hard brick your phone. Search for it in the link I posted.
Good luck
