Debranding the s6 - Galaxy S6 Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all am having loads of problems with my s6 and I am desparate to get the next update and debranding the phone. Are there any things that could go wrong or is this a safe proceedure. And is it safe to flash the g925f btu over o2 UK software?

I've done it, went without a hitch, running 5.1.1 unbranded on my O2 edge.

[Q] Flashing Australian S3

Hey guys!
So I've had my S3 for a few weeks now and i bought it online from Kogan and assumed that the CSC would be XSA because i chose Australia for the firmware update thing when i first booted my phone up.
However Kies shows my phone as being ORS which is the CSC for Slovakia.
I decided that I'm going to flash my phone to another CSC but I'm stuck on whether to change it to XSA (Australian) or to flash an European stock ROM. This is because Australia is horribly slow at receiving updates and most countries in Europe are the first to get them.
So since I have never flashed my S3 before, I would really appreciate it if someone could explain how and where to download the appropriate files from. Basically I want to be able to get updates quickly without having problems here in Australia. Any comment is welcome.
Thanks!

If you want JB now you need to flash the Polish ROM, either ICS and update or just flash one of the ODIN images. Or you can use a custom ROM based on that official release. Start with the sticky threads, then have a look in the development forum.

Galaxy S2 JB Question

So i have an S2 that was originally locked to t-mobile UK. Can i flash any JB update via odin ? Or do i need a specific one cos it was locked to t-mobile UK and has there apps etc?

is it possible to unbrand o2 s6 edge?

Hey everyone
Got my s6 edge today but unfortunately it has the o2 logo on boot up.
Is it possible to flash a unbranded (btu if that is correct) firmware on the phone without tripping the knox on to the phone? I don't want to root just want to remove the branded firmware.
If so do I do it with odin?
Appreciate the help
Thanks
Yes and yes
i want to debrand my s6 edge now i have unlocked it. does anyone know what firmware is unbranded. my CSC states O2U. sorry, bit of a noob at this.
Hi, should be ok! I flashed mine to unbranded Aus firmware. As long as it is stock firmware signed by samsung it shouldn't trip knox.
sammobile should be able to help you get the unbranded version. What is your model?

Reset S6 Edge

Hi,
I have had a S6 Edge for 2 years, I bought it from Samsung but flashed a Vodafone ROM onto it from Samfirmware. I have given it to my son who wants to use a BT Mobile SIM on the phone so I flashed the phone using a BTU ROM, again from Samfirmware. The phone is saying that it is locked. How is this possible if the phone has been flashed and factory reset? Can anyone help me get the phone unlocked as Vodafone's NUC is not working and they have no clue why it's not working.
ROM is G925FXXU5EQE7 and my CSC is BTU (multi-CSC).
Flashed from G925FXXU5EQE7_G925FBTU5EQD2_BTU
Thanks

Take it to a Vodafone shop snd they should unlock it there and then.
BTU rom is not a BT mobile rom. Its just the csc of the firmware. The BTU rom is just generic uk firmware.

n910G European Firmware? Please help stuck in Singapore

Hi,
First post here so please help.
I am in UK and have a note 4 n910G, i was running ok with UK SIM but had to hard reset due to crashing and freezing. Now it seems its reverted back to original csc and no matter which Firemware i flash (even tried CM14.1) the CSC doesnt change to European so i can chose BTU.
Im currently running
N910GDTU1BOC7
LRX22C.N910GDTU1BOE1
android 5.0.1
Ive searched for 2 weeks now and not getting anywhere, is there actually a firmware for Europe or do i have to flash seperate modem etc?
thanks
chris
