Hi, this is my first post in this amazing community. I have to admit that the solely purpose of this post is because im desperate since i think i screwed my phone. My apologies in advance if im posting this in the wrong place. This is the situation, my phone's bootloader is exactly like this at the moment:
*** TAMPERED ***
*** UNLOCKED ***
T6WHL PVT SHIP S-ON RH
H-BOOT-2.49.0000
RADIO-1.48.50.0425
OpenDSP-v33.120.274_T6.0829
QSC-
OS-3.02.651.5
eMMC-boot 2048mb
I was going step by step as this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2550559 to gain S-OFF. This is what i acheived:
1. Unlocked bootloader through htcdev.com
2. Installed TWRP
When flashed the boot.img from insecure kernel, the phone wont boot to OS, gets stuck at HTC One logo, tried to run "rumrunner" but was unsuccesful since phone was not rebooting by itself, good thing i made a NAND backup so i was able to restore my phone.
Then by mistake i was wiping the whole phone from recovery and didnt have a copy of my NAND on my computer, so.... i was trying to install a stock ROM, i tried all these so far
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2561668
These Stock_Sprint_3.02.651.5_Odex and Stock_Sprint_3.02.651.5 were the most successful ones but when booting for the first time after flashing both, when OS came in, it said:
Android is updating
1 of 350 (cant remember the exact amount)
Phone rebooted before completing the update, when back on, the update resumes and the phone does the same thing at least 3 times before completely updated.
No initial setup, just the home screen. When unlocking screen, HTC logo appears with white background and after a while reboots.
Please, any help, any hint, anything to get this phone working back will be appreciated. Thank you so mush in advance guys!!!
BTW, i really like this community so far.
Did you try flashing the ROM more than once?
I feel ya, I've been in situations where I'm sweating it for hours before I get a break and the operation finally starts going right.

Yes, flashed the same rom and different roms several times. What i only got is the Kids mode but the phone goes off after a couple of seconds
@LoneSephir - you are S-on, so you need to push the boot.img via adb after flashing the ROM.

Did you read the part on the original post that said :
"When flashed the boot.img from insecure kernel, the phone wont boot to OS, gets stuck at HTC One logo, tried to run "rumrunner" but was unsuccesful since phone was not rebooting by itself, good thing i made a NAND backup so i was able to restore my phone."
Thats one of the reasons why the phone is not S-OFF yet and therefor the reason why i reached the point to mess up the OS...
**************************UPDATE******************************
When phone was rebooting i placed the phone Airplane mode and then it went through the initial setup. But after a few minutes it does the same (it restarts)
It looks like the dialer process is missing, thats as far as i went.
Please help, i think im close to fix it, any guidance?
Hi Lonesephir
I am in the same situation as you. Let me know if you find a solution.
ps : The only rom that run on my phone is Cyanogenmod.

hi im a relative newbie at this the only 2 android phones ive rooted and stuck new roms on are the defy and the hero and they both werent as complex as the evo
well yesterday i unlocked the bootloader via htcdev then i rooted the phone, i then attempted to stick a new rom on it (coolexes) by extracting the boot img and then sticking the whole rom on my sd card and running it in recovery.
when i started the phone up it was stuck in a boot loop, i got it to recovery then attempted to reflash the backup i made earlier but i must have done something wrong as it still wont do anything.
since then ive been scouting the web for help, ive tried upgrading the radio with no joy, ive then tried sticking on a stock rom i found through this site and unfortunatly it said that it couldnt be installed (both exactly the same model rom)
information on my phone screen is as follows
SHOOTER_U PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-1.53,0007
eMMC-BOOT
May 22 2012,01:06:07
it doesnt say anything else.
thanks in advance for your help
First
Wrong section. Questions goes in q&a obviously
Second
You have 2 options
1. S-off your phone. Don't ask me how, its in GSM section. Than flash rom
2. Pull boot.img from rom you flashed and flash it manually via fastboot. (Since your hboot is 1.53 there is a good chance that this will not work so I suggest you s-off your hboot)
Sent from my U8500 using Tapatalk 2
sorry about the wrong section, I realised as soon as i posted it
cheers for the advice ill look in to s-off
managed to get s-off now but unfortunatly i still get a boot loop now it includes a juopunutbear screen too, this is driving me mad.
i can still boot into recovery and bootloader though. does anyone have a cure?
(please can a mod move this to the correct section)
Maybe try to downgrade hboot to 1.49.0007

cheers fella, ive done that and now ive got a locked bootloader.
but it still isnt booting (it just goes to the juopunutbear screen.
would you suggest i try and load a stock rom after i reunlock the bootloader or do you have any idea what i should do next.
cheers for all your advice so far i really appriciate it.
I don't know man, you are something wrong.
Most of the new Roms requires 4ext recovery
Doesn't matter if its locked if its s-off
S-off>unlocked bootloader(HTC method)

ive got 4ext too mate.
when i run the exe of the shooter shipped rom (that football uploaded 3.38.401.1 europe) it just keeps telling me that it cant complete the installation and that ive got the wrong version of the installer (but isnt that just a windows thing....not actually something ive downloaded?)
when i flash a new custom rom from the recovery screen on the phone, the instalation goes through fine but it still goes back into bootloop and that juopnotbear screen?
do you think ive just completely buggered my phone?
cheers again mate

Hello all, I need some help if there are any ideas what could be going on with this phone. I can usually fix my own phone problems, but this one has stumped me...
I bought a rezound dirt cheap that was stuck on the white HTC screen and would not boot into the stock rom. At the time I bought it, it was s-on and I could get in the HBOOT and run fastboot commands.
Since buying it, I have tried many things to get this thing working. I've tried to RUU (with PH98IMG and .exe) and apparently after it completes it is once again in a boot loop on the white HTC screen. I have been able to unlock and flash a custom recovery onto it (amon-ra) and install any cm/aokp rom onto it and boot into that. The only issue with that is when in the rom, my wifi and bluetooth will not connect at all. It wont even toggle on in settings and it is not greyed out. 4G and everything else seems to work ok.
At this time, I'm thinking there is some kind of hardware failure but I'm open to suggestions.
In summary...
I have been able to s-off
I have tried different firmware combos of HBOOTs/radios
I have flashed custom recoveries and roms and can boot into them without wifi or bluetooth
I have been unsuccessful to RUU to anything stock, it'll just boot loop the white HTC screen
Right now, I have installed Tron 2.1 onto it. I did notice post:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2272781&highlight=no+wifi
When I go into system/lib, there was no /modules folder. I went ahead and created it and put in bcmdhd.ko and rebooted, but still no go. I'm not sure why the /modules folder was missing, but this reaches the extent of my knowledge on what is supposed to be there.
I believe I have tried everything and done fairly thorough searches to get this phone working properly and am at a loss what to do next. If anybody has a thought of something to try, I'm all for it. Fortunately if this phone doesnt work out, its not a big deal to me.
I don't want this to sound like another "stuck on HTC screen" thread. I have been through all those and this doesn't seem like the same problem.
Your help is greatly appreciated!

i would like you to do the following.
flash this http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/0...ull-ruu-build-4-03-605-2-for-the-htc-rezound/
2 times. it will make sure we have a solid base to work on.
after that has ran 2 times. boot into the stock rom one time.
after that flash this https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/12405441/new.global.firm.PH98IMG.zip
once this is done let it boot into the rom.
from here you should be good to flash any rom that is out there to date. (note please dont restore any system data, only app data)
ALSO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE 100% battery. doing an ruu can brick the phone if its interrupted.
report back when done
Thanks for replying. I have flashed that RUU several times in a row in the past, but I'm redownloading it now to make sure my copy isnt corrupt. Earlier experience when I double flashed this it still remained a white HTC screen loop.
Currently estimated at 6hrs to download, so I wont be able to reply for a bit with my findings...

When the Rezound first came out a bunch of people had boot loop problems because the phone was set to wcdma or some such thing instead of cdma. I'm just a noob hack but that's my memory of it. The cure was to boot without the back cover on which contains the antenna and then change the setting.
Ok, I have re downloaded the AndroidPolice RUU and flashed twice, but was not able to boot into it no matter how long I waited (20 min+). It would just loop the HTC white screen. I then went ahead and flashed your global update firmware and have the same result after waiting (20 min+), it just loops the HTC white screen.
I have tried this process several times last night, but still no progress.

S/he ran the RUU so they are stock.
Sounds like the symptoms of a kernel issue. Try pulling the boot.img from this stock OTA ROM and flashing it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2260154
fastboot flash boot boot.img
I have the exact same you. Been this way for months. Maybe once a month BT/Wifi will turn on but only for a few hours maybe. Phone will reboot itself and come back up with the 2 broken again.

Well I finally booted into stock sense after flashing that boot.img which is a big step from before. For a brief moment, it saw wifi networks in my office but when I went to connect to one, wifi died and it no longer sees any wifi network. Bluetooth appears to still be an issue as well, i.e. will not turn on.

can you explain what you mean by flash the ruu twice once I have saved it to the root of my sd card? Does that just mean get to the bootloader, watch as it reads the the ph98img file and let it do that twice, or do I need to reboot in between, or do I need to put in a command?

when you let hboot flash the zip, the first time is super short. it updates hboot, stock recovery, and splash i think. then it will reboot back to bootloader and ask to be flashed again. this time it will take some time to update because it does the whole system.

something doesnt seem right. the RUU would have flashed the boot.img for you. can you link me to the downloaded ruu that you have? also before you run the ruu did you do fastboot oem lock the bootloader?
Edit:
i remember an old trick from the inc days. after the RUU boot back into hboot and do a "factory reset" then boot into the phone. it use to fix the radio errors somewhere getting after a RUU. no clue why we did it. it just worked. try that when you are on stock recovery locked bootloader
Here is the RUU I have re downloaded. It was also the original I used in the past on my other Rezound
https://www.dropbox.com/s/1570h8l0ba1u7qp/rezound_AndroidPolice_4.03.605.2_PH98IMG.zip
I have also tried the RUU 3.14.605.12.exe and a couple other different RUU versions, but have the same issue with that as well. Even on MicroMod777's OTA-Global-Stock-4.05.605.14 710RD-Rooted 5/1/13 flashed through amon-ra, I get the bootloop. I have done these as locked and unlocked bootloader with no difference. I have also tried the factory reset with locked bootloader.... no go with that either.
I was only able to finally boot in to stock by fastboot flashing the boot.img, and that is where this phone sits now. My major issue at this point is I dont have wifi or bluetooth and have dug through numerous posts and tried different things, and nothing is working on it. What was strange as I said in my previous post, the very first time I was able to boot into stock sense by flashing the boot.img, it briefly saw wifi networks but disappeared and disabled as soon as I tried to connect to one. I have not been able to replicate that since then.
On a sidenote and possibly related, since this phone has been sitting at my desk I decided to try and flash Newt's NOS JB v1.0.0 ROM and it bootloops also at the droid eye screen. I never was able to get it going on this phone. My other rezound boots this just fine.
I think I have reached the limits of my android knowledge of what to try on this thing. I am satisfied with it not having wifi/bluetooth since my wife wont be using those features. I would like to understand what the heck is going on though.
Hi all:
I think I´ve definitely broken my brand new HTC One. The problem is that the phone is stuck in the initial animation (white screen with the HTC One logo. This screen) and I cannot do anything. I tell you the story.
I rooted the phone with this tutorial http://htconeroot.com/htc-one-root/how-to-root-htc-one-windowsmaclinux/
At first, everything seems to go fine, but the SuperUser app started to fail and ask for updates. I installed RomManager and I changed to CWM Recovery instead of the TWRP recovery installed while rooting. I unistalled Super SU and installed the Google Play version and everything was fine again.
Today I tried this mod http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2251788 to remove the 3 dot menu and I flashed the file bkbtnmenu.zip with CWM. I flashed the file, I did a wipe cache and a wipe dalvik and when I tried to reboot, the HTC got stuck in the animation screen.
I cannot switch it off, neither entering in recovery or anything else. When I try to restart or enter in recovery it simply restarts to the same screen and cannot do anything but waiting for the device to empty the battery.
I´ve made something terribly wrong. Hope some of you guys can help me. Every little help will be appreciated. Absolutely desperated
For future reference I'd say not to use anything from zedomax because someone always has issues with his tutorials. Anyway, you said you're not able to boot into hboot?

First of all, thanks for the advice.
After reading your reply I´ve tried again and now I´m able to start the phone in recovery mode. Sorry but cannot post images. I already can go into the HBoot screen.
But don´t know how to continue.
If you're able to boot into recovery try to factory reset, you'll lose all your apps and settings but that should work

I´ve done the factory reset, but after rebooting I´m still stuck in the boot animation screen.
Absolutely no idea of what I can do.

I´m a bit newbie in this kind of things. Before the crash, I had Android 4.2.2 and even though I´m Spanish, I live in Singapore and I´ve bought my HTC here.
I´ve noticed that there are a lot of RUU and no idea of which to choose. I don´t have any problem in pushing a new rom, but how can I push it to the SD card? Please can you send me a link or two? I´ve found a lot of info in the forum but I´m a bit overwhelmed because most of the posts are for people with more experience than me and don´t know which one I have to choose.

Go to this thread, there you will find your resolution.
Sorry for bothering you again but it doesn´t work.
I followed the steps of the video. My HBoot screen now shows that it´s RELOCKED instead of UNLOCKED
I started the RUU file and it showed me that currently I have a 2.x.x.x. ROM and I´ll change to a 1.x.x.x. ROM. I clicked next and the software got stuck sending. After a few minutes, I received this message
ERROR[130]: MODEL ID ERROR
The ROM Update Utility cannot update your Android phone.
Please get the correct ROM Update Utility and try again.
Maybe It´s something related to the drivers?

Did you change your CID?
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
How can I know if I´ve changed my CID?. I don´t think so, but I´m not sure. I´m so frightened
Hey, So i have a problem, I tried rooting my phone, and i guess i messed up somewhere, I lost my OS, and didn't create a backup because i'm stupid and didn't realize this could happen. I found a thread, relating to a similar problem, but a different phone so i relocked the phone with Hasoon's tool. Now i cannot find a proper RUU For my phone. I have an HTC One X+, Radio is 2.14.55.11, And the stock image is 1.20.661.1 or something. All i want now, is to return to stock. I've tried the RUU's from androidfiles . org/ruu/?developer=EvitaRE But no luck. It has some sort of error nearing the end. At the moment i can't find the error, as my phone is under %30, So after it reaches about 70, i'll try again and post the error. I'm getting pretty scared, as i'm new to this, and i don't want to lose my phone. Any help would be appreciated.
I don't really know what else to post, besides the radio, stock image file thing, and that it's the north american phone i guess, EvitaRE. The HBOOT is 1.40.0000 and it's stuck at the loading screen, 'HTC Quietly Brilliant'
Factory Reset's do not work, and push me back into the loading screen. It's in infinite boot, i guess, where i power the phone down and it just boots up again without me doing anything.
I dont know where i went wrong during the rooting process, as when Hasoon did it in his video tutorial, It worked out perfectly. but for me not so well, After flashing and unlocking bootloader etc, i clicked perm root, and i couldn't find the SuperUS or something, so i went to power the phone down into bootloader and it said i had no OS. I don't know what i did, and all i hope is that my phone can be somewhat revived so i can use it.
Thank you for reading, and any helpful information would be just appreciated.

EDIT: Extremely sorry, but i have found other posts about this, but i can't seem to understand the fix, so if possible, please dumb it down for me! I'm extremely sorry for even attempting the rooting in the first place :S

At the moment...

Thank you, will try when I get home. Is there any roms you might recommend?
EDIT: Thank you, extremely. I honestly thought my phone was done for, after someone told me if ruu's didn't work i was screwed, guess i was talking to the wrong people. Thank you very, very much! After Sideloading, my phone booted up with venomXl rom, and works perfectly!
You are welcome.
BTW Sense 5 is here thanks to baadneez's insertcoin

I think you are not flashing the kernel.
Also - after flashing kernel, wipe cache and dalvik...
hello every one, like alot of you guys i was stuck on white HTC Screen and only able to get to HBOOT and Fastboot, after a lot of Effing research over google and xda, almost a month an a thousand post with the same problem Finally Solved-it!!! im pretty sure it will work on your forgotten devices soooo. first of all i didnt uploaded the file just find it messing arround the web so all tanks go for those who uploadit.
an some months after a friend let me his phone with similar problems and got solved the same way.
booth phone were with lastest HBOOT 2.28.!! aln lastest radio.!
Attention.!! Im not responsable for any more DAMAGE or/if it can happen even if you have your phone already briked.. so play responsable..!!
ok. let me be a bit clear, i've got 2 diferent rezound with similar problems and booth got solved the same way
phone 1: Only showed white htc boot logo, and also onle let me acces hboot and fastboot, no recovery(custom or stock).NO BOOT.
phone 2: showed white htc logo, hboot, fastboot and also recovery but it was giving me emmc error an couldnt acces to any partition.
you will need some knowledge in FASTBOOT.!!! look for help over the web.!
STEP BY STEP GUIDE:
1)Fully Charge your Battery.!
2)Download this file-----> it have Hboot 2.28 and Radios 2.23 at: http://d-h.st/BIj http://d-h.st/BIj place it in your Fastboot folder.!
3)open CMD with Administrative Permitions(right click run as administrator)
4)cd to fastboot folder
5)put device in Fastboot mode(turn on pressing power + vol.down, then select fastboot).
5.1)if hboot unlocked relockit with fastboot oem lock, will reboot phone and show RELOKED.
6)run: fastboot oem rebootRUU. phone will reboot again and show Black Screen with HTC.
7)run: fastboot flash zip Firmware.zip (firmware.zip should be the file you downloaded in step 2!).
8)if everything goes well you will see a green bar moving on your phone and fastboot should start working and showing some files flashing i dont know hahaha.
9) wait it takes about 5 mins. when your cmd window shows that it finish, your phone will still have a green bar on it. just run
fastboot reboot
and the magic its done.!! wait other five mins for the phone to boot and start messing with it again.!!!
will attach a picture with my cmd windows if someone got lost.!try to figure them out hahah those are the things i saw all my files were on downloads but i already have fastboot preinstaled.
as i said before i hope this mini tutorial works for you guys. it will be cool if people in the forum put this as stickie.!! i've seen like a 1000 post with the same problem.!!
have fun.!!
Be VERY careful if you have custom recovery installed (TWRP/CWM/PhilZ/AmonRa), locking or re-locking the bootloader well S-ON can result in a hard brick situation.

I'm not knocking your procedures or process... What I am saying is that if you have custom recovery installed and you relock, there is a definite potential for hard brick, if you are going to relock well S-on with custom recovery, there is a real possibility of bricking... One should flash stock recovery via fastboot prior to relocking.
