I saw Deezer on Gear Svideos. But when my Gear S arrived today, I just couldn't find Deezer. How should I install it? I cheked Galaxy Apps, Play store and google. Nothing. I updated the watch. Nothing.
I reaaly need it. Please help.
I just looked and it's there for me. It may be region specific. I'm in the U.S. I've read of some people in other countries not being able to find milk on the app store also

Ok. I'm in Turkey and I'm not sure but I might install German ROM to my Gear S. There might be Deezer in it. But question is will it void warranty? I asked Samsung TR and they said it does. But they also said if you install stock ROM to phones it will void again.
Is there any way to understand that if Gear S is installed with ROM ?(I mean official rom but other countries.) I don't know much about this ROM business but I remember when you use official ROM it doesn't increase some sort of conting mechanism right? Would it be same for Gear S too?
And if there is anybody from EU please answer: Do you have Deezer?
I need to know if anybody from EU can access to Deezer.

I have noticed my phone has been sending a txt to +919560345888 which is in India. How do I block my phone from sending an unwanted txt, or how can I block this particular number.

Sounds a bit virus like, or to be more accurate, it may be that you have been conned into signing up for some expensive text service. You might want to check with your provider that you aren't being charged a fortune for the texts. If you take prompt action you should be able to get the provider to refund any charges.
I have found something similar - SMS to 00-919560345888
I was looking over my phone bill and I noticed a SMS sent to 00-919560345888 on the 9th of November - the number seems to be in India (provider probably Airtel, somewhere in the Delhi area).
Doing a quick search here was showing this thread most recently.
During that day the only software that I remember installing on that specific S3 was Criskelo v19 (and there is a post of mine from that day to confirm that) - did anybody else see something like this?
EDIT:
IMHO the original poster should change the title to include the words SMS and 00-919560345888 to make this thread more obvious for other people that have seen similar problems!
i think when you install the india rom it sends registration sms to samsung india or network provider..as here when we purchase samsung phone we get free data for first few months..so each time fresh installation of rom it sends sms..
I doubt that ...

I really doubt that - I consider this story a major problem and I think we should further investigate the owners of that number and how that stuff got injected into the ROM - it most certainly does not look like a company number but instead 100% like a number a hacker would use to signal back the existence of a backdoor - which most likely he could perfectly use at any time with a SMS back to your phone where he most likely has root access!
I'm sure if you ask politely someone will track the number down and nuke the bastterd
Edit: Turns out to be an Indian Samsung service centre.. Nuke it anyway.

Install LBE security master, free app in xda. It will not let any app send unauthorised texts/calls/location data. Hope it helps next time. Thanks.

While I appreciate your generic advice you are probably not understanding what was happening - the trojan is inside a custom (auto-root) ROM, and as such could in theory do anything while the ROM was first booted - the program could not only send SMS in an "invisible" way, it could also leave a pretty much invisible hook/backdoor, and if the program wanted it could also uninstall "LBE security master" or whatever other similar program - and for the record AVAST was already installed - but as expected the program could see nothing unusual since the problem was inside the root-mode ROM!
This was a problem with the earlier jelly bean rom for india LJ5. Due to technical issues this update was withdrawn by Samsung India and later LK1 was released.
Any ROMs based on LJ5 would have this issue.

What's the best app to use to find out if I have a trojan, worm, back door or Virus. I have Avast but something tells me that it's not all that it's cracked up to be.
I started another thread the other day about my Note 2 automatically resetting three times in two days and something tells me that this is related.
I have an N7100 with Root and the stock ROM and with a Perseus kernel.
Thanks in Advance.

When you say that you know nothing 'about that product', what are you referring to... the N7100, the stock ROM or the kernel... or possibly all three?
My Build number begins with JZO54K.

Hi guys I'm just curious why samsung is doing this? We know that we can flash using other countries rom using odin and it works fine. Why do they need to release official update by each country if we can use any countries rom?

Just to let you know that as long as the Rom/Firmware is for the the I9300 then you can flash it to your device no matter what country it is for.
So for example if the official firmware was for Poland and your device was in the UK then you can flash it.
Hope this clears things up for you.

So that each country has a reason to withhold your warranty if you're found to run a firmware version they don't associate themselves with. I mean, when I had my Gnex, I ran a british firmware on a nordic phone, with a US modem and all worked superbly.
On this GS3, I've run everything from Russian to Egyptian and my phone has never once failed me.

But still, for example, they can have 1 official rom to all unbranded I9300 instead of releasing one by one for each country... This will be less stressful for them and for us (always waiting for an official release for our country)
I wonder what is really their reason...
" Why do we have different firmware for each country?"
Because your phone / provider relationship is country specific (I use an SGS3 i9300 on a T-Mobile UK contract for example) providers (try to) ensure phone / provider / country specific set-ups.
They justify this on the grounds of providing tailored maintenance and support based on known and controlled configurations.
....it works for the masses....not for us more troublesome and independent minded users in the XDA and other communities
Hello everyone.
I just received a phone from a relative in china. It is a Note 2 GT-N7100 version. I am new to modding phones with roms and know nothing about rooting and such. I only want to install this phone back to my local canadian roms (Rogers or telus). Also, this china phone doesnt have any google apps, not even play store. So I want to install the phone back to north american version and get rid of all those chinese apps that comes pre-installed. thanks
Flashing most roms in this forum will solve problems.

I'm in a similar position as you. Tried running the simple Playstation App (not looking at remote play yet, don't have a PS4) and I receive the error 0x82e01003 after trying to sign in.
No news on this??? Possible to get remote play working with a custom rom??? Failing that anyone know where i could sell my phone so i can get one with a non unlockable bootloader? Can't sell it at a phone shop as i still have around 16 months on the contract
Hoping for news on this too! It sucks that they got it to work on non Sony phone - but for some reason i can't get it to work on my Xperia. Maybe my IMEI is saved as unlocked when I unlocked it on the Sony website.
May be this could be help for you guys
