I installed TWRP manager from Google Play. I haven't found the phone model on list, so I (stupid but hopefull) choose slte and installed it.
It didn't show any errors then.
I did a reboot. Samsung logo, provider logo.... black screen, and....
And I got series of messages: Unfortunately 'application X' has stopped. Log Kit Weather, Messages, everything.
So (probably again stupid step) I tried put stock rom via Odin. Failed.
I put the battery out, and tried to get into recovery mode. Nope.
Could not do normal boot
Current binary: custom
System status: custom
Any ideas how to fix it?
I just wanted stock ROM without providers trash apps...

Hello guys,
I need your help because my GS3 can't restart, it's blocked on start screen Sansung S3
In fact, my S3 was rooted and I installed Rom Manager to change "easilly" the Rom ( for XperianZe-0.9.9_AROMA_JKay_Elegant6-EMC3)
One precision : before changing Rom, Rom Manager made some changes in the CWM.... and I think my problem is here.
I succeed to instal the new Rom XperianZe using Rom manager (clean Wipe, cache, etc...) and it worked but I wanted to try another one Rom (Android_Revolution_HD-SGS3_25).
I had noticed before installing the latest ROM when I wanted to start the S3 in Recovery Mode manually, the screen remained blocked after posting Odin mode / product name:GT i9300 / Current binary download : yes / system status : custom and after the message "Downloading ... Do not turn off target!!" and then nothing ... but through Rom manager, I could access ...
But, for some unexplained reason, the installation of the Rom Revolution failed and the S3 rebooted and now I get stuck on the start screen Samsung Galaxy S3
The problem is that now I can not access the recovery, because I have always the message "Downloading ... Do not turn off target!"
Through Odin, it's impossible because the recovery is blocked, the device is not detected.
Could you help me, please, how to install a new recovery and then reinstall a ROM? thank you in advance for your help
Try accessing recovery by restarting the phone, pressing power button volume up and home, that should get you into recovery. If that works wipe everything and try installing the last ROM again or simply restore your nandroid of your working ROM.
My Samsung Galaxy S II Plus (running stock rom) is currently stuck on the recovery screen when booting.
I think it happened after I updated some apps from the App store. The device seemed weird (flashing icon(s), apps not working, etc.), so I wanted to restart. When I did, the following happened:
It didn’t show the Samsung logo, just the phone name/logo once or twice
It then showed "no command"
Then the recovery console was added on top of «no command» ("no command" is still visible behind the text of the recovery console, and an android lying on its back with a red triangle)
I tried wiping the cache from the recovery screen (resulting in a message saying "error"), taking out the battery, etc., but it won’t boot.
My phone has no custom rom installed. I think I have upgraded to the latest official Samsung release.
Can I install a backup/recovery system such as CWM or TWRP without losing my data?
Or can I reinstall the stock rom without losing data (photos, app data, etc.)?
Basically, can I get access to my data in some way despite being stuck on the recovery screen? That’s my primary goal.
Hi.
A friend has bought a second hand S6 Edge witch don´t boot. The phone stays in the initial Samsung S6 Edge logo and don´t do anything.
I have flashed tcwm recovery. In the recovery was a message unable to mount /system and unable to mount /data. If have formatted the /data and the message of /data disappeared and the recovery and the pc read the storage.
I flashed the original firmware, and after flashing it the phone reboots, and when the android logo appears and starts loading. At the half of loading appears a message "ERASING..." and then again the fist Samsung logo and there stays freeze. I don´t know why do this and how to do... Any ideas??
I was searching something about but I didn´t find nothing like this case.
Thank you.
it is normal. if you are on 5.1.1 please flash unibase kernel for 5.1.1 if not flash the one for 5.0.2 problem solved
But I don´t understand. When if flash the 5.1.1 firmware I flash the kernel too, it´s included in the new firmware, is´t it?
I´ve installed the 5.1.1 unibase kernell and do the same. Erasing... and in the TCWM appears the message "No OS installed!!". Any ideas?
I don´t know what try.
I have flashed the firmware with Odin that Smart Switch has downloaded and do the same thing. The files I have flashed are:

In the stock recovery appears the message of the photo.

****... your imei is gone mate...
install twrp.
have a backup of your phone when you go to recovery again in case if you didnt lose your imei yet.
then go to wipe and advanced wipe then select everything except usb-otg then wipe.
put into download mode and connect smart switch.
recover your phone using emergency recovery.
when it finishes, your phone may have a distorted screen. dont panic.
put it on download mode again
flash 5.1.1 unibase kernel
then you are good to go but your imei is gone probably mate... i feel sorry for you because i have the same issue..
Status:
1. On stock 4.1.2 in Samsung SII. Rooted and using Philz
2. For some reason, phone had an error and I could not connect to any network. Everything else working fine.
3. Checked and IMEI was gone. Read online and tough nandroid would be a good option.
4. Opted for nandroid backup (stupid, should have backup all photos before, did so with SMS, calendar, contacts, phone history)
5. Did not work, stuck on animated logo. Retry. Did not work, stuck again on animated logo.
6. Flashed original Stock 4.1.2 with success (Passed). Stuck in samsung animated logo. Retried new flash. Same problem.
7. Applied update to have Philz Touch 5 again in Recovery Mode (instead of stock). I think it's rooted then?
8. I do the mount SD card in Philz Recovery, 2 drives show up in Windows 8.1, but I cannot enter them (says insert drive). This as always been like this, even before this event.
7. Can go into recovery mode (Philz) and download mode.
Now I just want to retrieve my pictures from internal SD DCIM and eventually the memos from the stock memo (if they were not already deleted/overwrriten from all this).
What shall I do?
Thanks in advance!

Anyone? :crying:
Backup personal data -> factory reset -> reflash ROM -> restore data -> profit
But as said above, a little more information would be helpful. Device name, model number, what recovery, what version of android, blood type, social security number, you know, the normal stuff
How to reflash ROM?
Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016)
I can only enter Downloading mode and TWRP recovery.
