I previously flashed a firmware I got from xda which was customised .546 and now that .200 is released, Can I create my own flashable .zip .200 and flash it over my rom without any issues?
Will I lose my data? ( I suppose not)
Will there be any reception issue?
I have flashed some z5 app mods
I guess I will lose it
Right?
Just need some clarifications
Thanks

Yes, however I'd advise you to create the new .232.

If you choose the right firmware region: No.

Yes, the firmware installer formats the system partition so you lose everything you flashed onto that partition.

I have no idea. You have to check that for yourself. In case the baseband will malfunction in any way you can always reflash the firmware from different region.

I'll think about, thanks for the reply
But I'm still not sure if you need to unlock anyway. You can try to flash the latest firmware from Sammobile.com but if something goes wrong you'll have to do a wipe - since you don't have a custom recovery to do a backup

Definite improvement over BB77
Just flashed BB86. Too early to comment on battery life. However, I downloaded a 35MB game from the Play Store and was amazed at both how quickly it downloaded and how cool the phone seemed to stay compared to BB77.
Subjective evaluations, I know, but I'm impressed by BB86 so far.
Update: battery life overnight also improved from about 1% / hour to 0.75% / hour.

The correct answer is no. There are framework files still missing until you flash a ROM based off the full tar.

That depends on what features are in the update. Depending on the feature, it may show up in the bootloader, modem or ROM files. So in many cases you would need to flash the full firmware to gain all of the new features.

It's the Lollipop version for the nordic countries. Much more stable.
No, it will not trigger KNOX. Do not flash a custom recovery, that will trigger KNOX.
It's safe to flash. Go for it.
Yes, it's official Samsung firmware.

I read in another forum that when we flash a rom without the hidden image, the modem is not updating and we have to :
a) extract the rom and find modem.bin
b) open odin and flash modem.bin in the CP section of odin.
Can someone verify that this is true?

I thought I would flash this to see if this fixes the wireless charging problem, but it does not. At present, on Lollipop the phone does not fully charge via Qi. Only charges upto 69%.
Is there a way to root this version?

For rooting, you can use any customization. By the way, why don't you downgrade to Kitkat?
It's quite easy. After rooting and installing recovery, you can upgrade to your desired MM pre-rooted firmware.

Yeah as long as it's Kitkat, it should be easy to root.
To simplify: Downgrade firmware, Root, Install Custom Recovery (CWM or TWRP, or both), Download pre-rooted flashable zips (OR you can prepare your own pre-rooted package via PRFCreator), and finally flash your pre-rooted MM.
I'm currently using pre-rooted MM 23.5.A.0.570 though.
