Xolo Q800 bootloop - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I rooted my device[Xolo Q800] a month ago using framroot, TWRP to be able to run XPrivacy app[has become my favourite].
Yesterday I came across a webpage reading I could change my gmail account without restoring it if I have my phone rooted.
So I opened the file located at data/system/users/0/accounts.db with Database editor app in my phone and changed my gmail ID to another and saved it.
Then restarted the device to put into effect.
Since then my phone had freezed at XOLO logo.
Luckily I had TWRP installed in my phone so I booted into recovery mode and found there many option but i launched file manager but could never get into data folder even though my phone was rooted.
So I made a so called Nand Backup of data, system, boot.
After backing up successfully I went to Wipe and tapped on factory reset.
Now my device is up and running but how do I restore my backup without getting stuck in that ugly loopback problem?
Plz help me I have my contacts, messages and many useful apps, notes in that backup.
This is my first post. Any help would be appreciated handsomely.

[Q] CWM Backup Image (contacts extraction) Question

Alright...
I had the Shishir rom on my phone for many months and it worked very well. Tonight I dropped my phone (has happened many times before with no repercussions) while it was plugged in and the rom would no longer load on start up. The boot sequence would run all the way through and get stuck on the four colored X.
So I booted into CWM and made a backup because I had not previously backed up my contacts recently. I transferred this backup to my pc. I restored backup and now my phone works fine. However all of the contacts and messages are gone.
So I ask, I plead, is there any way to manually extract the contact database from the CWM backup image?

Titanium backup
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
I tried it. Titanium sees the backup but says there is nothing in it...so was all the data corrupted the moment the phone fell and the backup is worthless or..?

[Q] Apps wont retain their data or remain frozen after reboot

These forums have been invaluable to me. You guys amaze me. If you could help with this, I would be forever grateful.
Phone: Verizon Galaxy S3, rooted, CM10.2
Problem: I have suddenly run into a problem where only some of my apps (1) do not retain any of their data after a reboot and (2) do not stay frozen (I've tried freezing with Titanium, Lucky Patcher, Root Uninstaller Pro, etc.) after rebooting (they do keep their data and remain frozen until I power my device off). ONLY the apps I installed on or after about two weeks ago have this problem (i.e. apps installed before that do not have this problem). So basically every time I reboot my phone apps installed over the last two weeks look like I've never used them (for example, a notepad app that I used extensively before rebooting shows no notes).
Solutions Attempted (without success obviously):
1.) Uninstalling problematic apps, rebooting phone and reintalling
2.) Doing a full factory reset via CWM recovery, wiping all caches, and restoring a nandroid backup that was taken before this problem arose.
Question: Is there anything that I can do to resolve this problem or do I need to get a new phone?
Thanks,
Jenna
After doing more research, I should probably also add that none of my apps are (or ever have been) installed on my sd card via any app-to-sd card-type app.
No ideas?

[Q] Whatsapp showing version obsolete only restoring App dat works

I rooted my phone, installed whatsapp and it was
working fine, then i installed some other root requiring
apps.. ( I UNINSTALLED MOTO CARE).it wss still fine, i
made a CWM recovery backup... had to factory reset
for some reasons so before doing it i created an APK
+DATA backup with MyBackup Pro performed reset and
restored the whatsapp backup but found it saying that
"Your Version of WhatsApp got obsolete on Dec,2014
your current device date is Sep,2014" cleared data
reinstalled app, same problem. Did a factory reset,
same problem... Finally restored the CWM backup
WhatsApp works now but if i clear data or reinstall i
get same problem. So I have time till the next version
comes out. Is there any way to fix it without restoring
stock firmware. I think some root requiring apps
messed up with the date and time or Whatsapp.

[Q] Error while restoring data CVM 5.5.0.4 - Temasek CM 10.2

Hi all !
I need your help because I'm really desperate.
My phone was working fine but I had some error with Handcent application.
I decided to restore a previous nandroid backup (that I had previously successfully restored) but now I've got an "error while restoring data" after a long time working.
Tried to do 3 wipes (data factory, cache, Dalivk), but same issue.
Tried with some other backups, same issue.
I'm really lost....
Is there any way to get me out of this ? :crying:
My phone is now unusable.
When I run the phone after restoring faultly, it asked me my google account, as if it was the first time I was running the phone, and not all applications are installed.
When I try to install missing applications with Google Play, I've got an error, and no way to restore from Titanium Backup, no error but freezes.
Please HELP !
Flash your firmware using Odin or recovery, if the backup is corrupt then it can't be fixed.
Thanks, but this backup was OK last time I've restored it, and I had the same issue with some other recent backups.
It appears that the size was too big, over 2,5GB.
I've restored from a 2,41GB backup and it has worked.
The mistery is why I was able to restore from this backup one time, and now does not work anymore...

What is 'persist' in TWRP while taking a backup?

hey guys, I just bought OPX 2 days ago and rooted and unlocked the bootloader yesterday. I also removed few apps like slides, doc etc and everything was working fine. Today when I saw storage was almost full (because of those google apps updates) I tried to integrate them into ROM using Titanium backup. 2 of 18 apps were successfully integrated (don't know which) but then it stuck for a lot of time. So i forced stop tit and tried integrating each app individually, but still same problem and it had f**ked system a little so fortunately I had restored the backup which I took before integration. During backup, I selected all the partitions (or whatever it is) and started restoring. Everything went well until the 'persist' was getting restored. Wiping of Persist was successful but it was stuck to restoring for a really long time so aborted the restoring, wiped everything and restored everything except persist. So my question is What is Persist and will it affect my phone 'cause I didn't restored it? and why are apps not getting integrated into ROM? any solutions will be helpful
(and extremely sorry for super-long post )
