From few days my phone got charging problem. Charger connect and disconnect. I checked my chager and cable. It's working fine. I connect other chargers, same problem. Some people said this is a software problam. So i reinstalled my software. But still same problem. Help me
Looks like hardware problem. But first check that there's no dust. Blow in USB once and strongly, but do not spit. If it won't help the only way is USB reparation
Some of sony phones that I had did have problem to sometimes disconecct from charging. You must to clean hole(blowing) in usb cable and next time when you connect phone to charger find one position in he s charging and dont move your phone much or dont move at all until he s full charged.
What to do,you have no better solutions.
Yeah i think so. Not the problem of the charger.
You didn't turn on your phone with charger connected right?

maybe try custom rom, and see if it's different.
what rom are you on now?
Excistenz rom
I did a clean installation (factory reset + hard reset; data, caches, internal storage, system) and works. Try it
May be I'll try it

Hi all!
I have an hardware issue with my SGS2 - it always show 'on charging' even when physically not. Everything else working perfect. Everybody knows that phone does not go to deep sleep on charging so my battery drains faster.
Is it possible to activate deep sleep on charging or not? Maybe some kernel relating setting...
Have you tried cleaning the usb port.
What rom are you running?

Yes, I disassembly my phone and clean everything near usb connector.
USB connection after this become working, but 'charging' still here.

CM9 for now, but this bug is connected with hardware. I tried MIUI Rom, Sammy - everything the same
Hi,
okay, I've found another thread on this: Phone stuck on USB/charging... very weird
As far as I can see they sent it in because of warranty, maybe you should try that?

Before one month ago a strange problem appeared.i flashed different roms and kernels but a few days later after a complete dischargeof the battery when I completely charged my phone with the charger it tried to reboot and it didn't pass the boot screen. This problem was solved only with a full wipe and a reflash of a rom.But if I try to use the charger instead of pc to charge my phone or if I complete discharge it sometimes It will not boot.i tried a lot of different roms and kernels without success .any ideas what causing this problem?

Probably the USB board/port. KeithRoss39 has a guide in General (not stickied; search for 'replace USB charger board') which will enable you to replace it yourself quickly/easily/cheaply (<US$15).

my friend what is the rom now you are using?
if it is based on cm try stock roms
if it is not then i think the problem is from your charger .. try someone else .
you can also try wipe battery statue from recovery
Good luck

Ok thank you very much for your answer.Do you think that it could be the charger instead of usb board/port because it seems that if i try to charge it via usb cable from pc or if i try another charger it will boot normaly but the problem is that i don't know for sure because i only use my charger when the phone is completely discharged (turned off) ,i usually have my phone connected to pc all the time,so i also suspect that it may be the reboot that causes the phone to boot loop and it may be not connected to the charging proccess at all. What is your opinion ?
Also is there any way to test my usb board/port to see if it working correctly before replacing it ?

I tried both stock and aosp roms but with no luck.
I tried different chargers but the problem doesn't appear every single time so i don't know for sure if the problem is from my charger.Sometimes it boots normaly with mine too.
I didn't try to wipe battery stats from recovery but how it could be useful ?I couldn't find a lot info for that...
thanks
Might be the charger, so try a new one if you like. But don't be surprised if you end up having to replace the USB board after. The issues you described with booting/not booting sound like symptoms of the USB board on the fritz.
When the boards start dying, they rarely stop working completely (at least initially), and often show a couple of faults, but work OK in other ways (might be able to transfer data OK but can't charge as an example, and so on).
As a test, do a completely clean install of stock & test it for a few days, if you see the same thing, it's fairly likely the hardware fault. Up to you which way you want to go in that case, but I'd be replacing the board.
Edit - In light of your post just now which crossed with my reply, it's definitely the USB board. You've tried different chargers, you've tried stock, that seals the deal as far as I'm concerned. Put it this way, if it's not the board, it's something else hardware-wise.

Ok i will start testing then and replace the usb board if needed.Another thing that confuse me is why the phone boots with a full wipe and re-install of a rom ?Also in what way the USB board can affect the booting proccess?
EDIT :I am not experienced with smartphone hardware so i need some info...
I don't think that anybody outside of Samsung themselves would be able to tell you why one of their phones acts the way it does.....they know their hardware and the way software interacts with it in a way that nobody else can.
All I know is that I've handled TWO S2's with faulty USB ports, and they have exhibited various symptoms as a result.......
1) phone displayed charging icon even if it wasn't plugged in.
2) phone NOT charging even though it WAS plugged in.
3) PC/Laptop not recognising phone when USB connected.
4) phone randomly shut down.
5) phone would not boot unless boot option in CWM selected.......
I could go on, but you probably get the picture.
These issues stopped occurring on both devices as soon as I'd replaced the USB assembly......
Choice is yours fella, but I know what I'd be doing.

I replaced the usb board about a month ago but i still have bootloop issues that appear randomly.
I also have some other issues now.
First of all when i try to transfer files from/to pc the copy procedure will stop at some point and then windows does not recognize my phone or a pop up window appear asking to fix my drive but when i try to fix it says that the drive has no problems.
Apart from that if i try to remove the battery and then put it again with the charger still connected to the phone the battery percentage fall from 100% to 10%-15%.
I dont know if all these problems are related but it seems that the usb board is not responsible for these issues because i have the same problems with 2 different boards.Any ideas what else hardware-wise might be ?
Thanks in advance !

I read carefully the OP and the replacement that i bought is the same 'rev' version with my old one.So is possible that the new usb board is faulty too ?
Is it possible to be something wrong with the internal SD ?
I want to mention that i have used a PIT file posted by @metalgearhathaway to increase data partition but the procedure was successful...
The only reason that i mention it is because then i had the faulty usb board and i used ODIN for the procedure but it passed all stages succesfully.
Mate.....remapping the partitions with a pit file is a pretty major thing to forget to mention.....
It's pretty advanced and/or risky to start messing with pit files.....it's also something i've never done, so i'm unsure of the consequences.......apart from the obvious 'permabrick' risk.
I don't even know how you'd revert to the factory set partitions if you needed to.....though i'd guess it'd involve flashing another pit file. All the issues you've previously mentioned (apart from the battery) *could* have been caused by the pit file and that being the case, you're lucky it wasn't a whole lot worse. As for the battery, that could simply be the fact that batteries do fail, and if yours is the original, this is probably the case given the age of the phone and the fact that Samsung only offers a 6 month warranty on the battery anyway.......
Sorry fella, but as there's a pit file flash involved, you've moved into territory that I can no longer advise on........

So, anyone having the same problem here? I already reported this issue to Sony support forum. And yeah, theres alot of people having the same issue like this. The LED will start blinking right after it reach 90% above. Its very annoying to check it all time.
This is happened to me almost everytime i charge my phone. This is kinda software bug, or something to do with rooted or recovery installed? Since i have a rooted and recovery installed on it. Or maybe the problem is with the magnetic cable usb?
Nopee.. Nothing of that sort for me ...

So, i bought a new brand magnetic charging adaptor called "MAGNECTOR X2". This solved the blinking charging issue. Yeah i was right, theres nothing to do with lollipop update or software. ROFL! I recommended for u guys also.
Stronger magnet
More stable
Can be used with all type micro usb cable
Easy to carry
*Search at youtube "magnector x2" for more detail.

No. Unfortunatelly he doesn't have any other charger.
The docking station isn't original, however it was charging fine on kitkat.

I suggest u try with another diffrent magnetic charger, if the prob still there, do a clean install by using flashtool. Hope that will help, since my problem already solved by changing the usb cable/magnetic charger it self.
For your information, charging your phone to 85% or 90% rather than 100% doubles it's battery life cycle (as in amount of discharge/charge cycles it can survive through). This is something you should care about as the back of the phone is not openable.
I'd want mine to blink after 90%

Hello,
I think this is really weird.
After a few days I´m not able to charge my phone anymore.
not on: Aukey QC3, IPhone 5se, motorolla, no name charger, original, my work notebook USB port.
Nothing charge it.
Until I plug it into my home desktop PC.
Can someone explain what is happening?
I think it is a ROM bug, since I could open fastboot and the mi flash tool does detect it. And it is now charging (again) ... this happened the second time now...
Any tips?
strange....

Yup, very strange. I think I read something somewhere about a similar issue.
Most people think there USB port is broken. But I think they have the same issue but just no PC which works (as noted my work notebook does not work, but my desktop PC does...) it was also detected in in fastboot mode on my work PC (just to low on power to try) ...
I had a simmilar problem (well, I still have). I removed the back cover and removed the battery cables - and plugged them in again. After a couple of tries it started charging again. But yesterday my phone fell and since then I can charge it only via a huawei charger. The Xiaomi one doesn't work. One thing is for sure... If you get a red blinking while the phone is turned off and charging, you must let it rest for about a minute in order to plug in an other charger and start charging again ...

Hi ,
Some people got this issue fixed by returning back to stock ROM.
You can try that.
In my case the charging port was busted so I got it replaced from service center

Yes in my case no charger was able to charge my phone only USB was charging.
So I went to global dev ROM using EDL mode and then went to service center. They replaced it in 30 mins. Also my charger was not working so they replaced charger as well.

Can you try with MIUI stock ROM and tell if you are still facing the problem? This should mostly be the ROM problem like you said.
Had the BLA-09 8.0.0.148 (C432) and noticed that I seems all my super charger are not that super anymore.. Neither my huawei car super charger nor the provided oem supercharger show up as supercharging when plugging in. Anybody else having that issue?
Same firmware here and Super Charge is still active (Huawei original charger). Do you use the original provided USB cable ?
The superscharge seems to swich on for a while when plugging in, but after a short time (minute, perhaps a few) it switches to normal charge in car and on charger. Also happened on previous firmware.
yep both times it's original Huawei cable. (though I should mention that usb c seems to lose it's catch and pops out easily since a few days)

To prevent overheating the phone may charge slower (like when you use it for gaming and charge it the same time, it's very slow)
It would still display it as supercharging though

A guy on the italian forums is reporting the same after updating to B148!
I would try with a factory reset and eventually a new cable.
Cache wiping worked for me. I now got the car charger we eking again. Will check the home charger tonight.
Quick update. Cache wipe fixed the issue all super charger are now super again.

I experienced this multiple times with my device and it will come back, cache wiping has probably not fixed your problem but time has.
I will bring my phone to a service center tomorrow, I'm sick of this happening over and over.
If this happens once, chances are high it will happen again (and yes, I wiped cache multiple times).
Update to this:
I visited a Huawei service center today and the technician told me that this happens with a lot of Mate 10 Pro devices.
What causes the problems is dust/dirt.
The technician used a metal tool first and then compressed air.
Supercharge and headphones now work again.
So, if this happens to you, you probably have to clean your port, but be careful since you could break the port.
The technician also advised me to buy some sort of dust cover for the device so that this problem doesn't happen so fast again.
Wow! I have never seen my phone explicitely says it's in supercharge mode in 5 month or so I own it! Oo
But charge was quick at 2A

I cleaned mine too now and I can certainly say that I now have much tighter sitting usb c cables. So cleaning it out is certainly the way to go, wether supercharge works or not.
Hmmm. I have had this issue too. My phone stopped supercharging but it also stopped allowing me to transfer data with a cable to my computer (or to my drone remote control). I cleaned it alot, but no effect. I ordered a new port assembly and replaced it. Now, it will supercharge for about a minute, but then it goes back into normal charging mode. While looking in the battery app, it would fluctuate between charging modes until deciding to charge normal. I've wiped the cache, but still doesn't help. Any further input??
