Hello,
So i got myself a new Xiaomi redmi note 2 prime, and the contacts that i had on my google didn't appear in the device - so in order to move them i had to export from the google web abount and import into the device.
But the biggest issue is that whenever i add a new contract it only adds it to the phone, but not too my Google account.
How can this be resolved/changed?
Just select your google account when you add a contact

Since you have already your contacts sunc with googlr account. Installed super backup and backup your contact, call log sms etc in case you lost all your contacts in phone. Now goto as shown: [

to clear the data of your contacts storage. After that all your contacts in phone will gone and this will helped you to not have double contacts. Reboot your phone, google will sync back all your contact automatically. If google sync failed. Then you goto into setting, google account as shown on the fellow screenshot:
and tapped on contact. Then google will sync back your contacts previously was sync with your other phone by google.
If the above method all failed. You just restored back all your contacts which was saved by super backup.

I hope I don't sound like a prick, but uninstall the programs in that list and I am sure you won't have it. Why would you want to delete your list of installed apps? Also, try AppBrain and FastWebInstall (?, same company) if you haven't. You can make as many lists as you please and delete them with just as much grace. It's pretty much another way of using Play without completely doing so. It's also great because Google's backup and restore isn't perfect.
Perhaps I misunderstood the problem.

This is not only the list of currently installed apps this is the whole device history of installed apps many of them i deleted months ago.

This list depends on with which gmail ID you are logged in. If you login with a different gmail ID, the list will change according to which app you have downloaded using that ID.
So if you wanna hide/delete the list, you need to login with another ID!

Even if you uninstall the programs, the apps will still be in that list since it's a list of your entire account history of installed apps (instead of saying "installed", it will give you the option to install them).

At least I can provide this link from a cursory search:

Sentiment seems to be that we can't as exemplified by the following quote:

Twice a day I receive this strange notification from Picasa. If I tap on it, nothing happens.
I can't sleep at night with this doubt

Freeze it with TIBU and get some sleep.
You may also try to fix the app by cleaning both data n cache in apps manager.

I would do that! but I don't know which application sends this notification! I also tried to search with titanium backup any app the contain the word "picasa" in the name or package name but no luck.
Is there any way to discover which application sends the notification?
The phone has a built in Picasa link (through the MotoCast albums app). Go to settings and then manage accounts. One of the accounts that is set up should be Picasa. It just means that your login info for the Picasa account is incorrect. Either delete the account or put in the correct login info.

I don't have a Picasa account in "manage accounts" - I only have google main account
Try opening up My Gallery (the MotoCast one) and clicking settings and then online connections or online albums. See if that is what is connected to Picasa. I used to get those same errors but for PhotoBucket and then I figured out that that was where they came from.

Yeah, I also tried this but there isnt a Picasa account in My Gallery. I used to have the picasa account linked in My Gallery but I deleted it and then with TiBackup I uninstalled My Gallery, Picasa Authentication and MotoCast stuff. But I still have this notification every night.
Hm, that's very strange. Not sure what's causing it. Sorry I couldn't be of much help.

Hello there.
I just updated my Galaxy SII GT-I9100 to the latest official 4.1.2 JB, and wiped my phone beforehand so I could have everything from scratch.
All my contacts are in Gmail with hi-res pictures set there, so I did not worry about having lo-res pictures after Google supposedly fixed the picture quality issue.
Thing is, after I set my Google account on the fresh installation, it indeed synced each contact's picture, but in lo-res!
I noticed sometimes, when I opened up the contact and waited a few moments, the picture was automatically changed for the hi-res version, as if the cellphone only downloaded it "on demand".
Does anyone know how to truly make it download every contact's HD picture properly without having to open each contact's picture? :fingers-crossed:
Thanks a lot! :good:
Anyone with a clue?
Hi guys. Anyone knows this one?
Not sure if this is what you are looking for, it more of a work around.. but I upload all my "Contact Photo" to a private album on Google+ (Using Picasa to upload/replace/etc from the album as needed) - Any photo you upload to Google+ is going to appear in your Gallery on your device (just note there is no way to "Hide" them from the Gallery, so they will always appear)
As you can see (and no comments on picture; its my momma) That the pictures look a whole lot better by using Google+
(the blur is from me using Instagram and altering the picture)

Nah, that's not quite it mate. I did the same thing on Picasa, by the way.
But my contacts all have pictures stored on my Gmail account, so when I add my Gmail account to the phone the pictures automatically get downloaded. Problem is they are all pixelated.
When I open a contact and wait a few seconds (if connected to the internet), the lo-res pics gets replaced by a hi-res pic. But ONLY if I open each contact and then wait some seconds for the hi-res pic to download...
Interestingly enough, i need to find a way of copying Google contacts to a SIM Card.
A family friend is getting a temporary prepaid, and the phone doesn't have a method of importing contacts beyond using the SIM. Period.
If it involves a PC, that's fine too....but manually entering 300 contacts in't an option.
Open contacts
Menu button
import/export
Export to SIM
Select all contacts
Export.
New phone either import them, or just display directly from sim
Copying Goog contacts to SIM. [SOLVED]

There's no export to sim. You can only import from SIM. I found an app for it, but in the end it forced me to wipe my phone. The apo must have been 3 years old.
I don't know if it had malicious code in it, or if it was just way too old...but it kept restarting my launcher, a couple times a second, and afterwards, every app i loaded crashed.

Ok, there is "export to sd card", so that option should have been used.
There is a black on black issue in this Rom so I can't get a screenshot of my import/export options... I have to press each one to see what it says otherwise it's just black.
I don't have the kung fu to prove it, try getting a shot while actively pressing lol, but I have that option on novena
I didn't just blindly post that I honestly looked, that's the first time I've looked at the contacts menu in forever since I just sync to Google. Actually made me spot the xml issue

I noticed back when I had my Galaxy Ace that some ROMs had the option to export to SIM and others didn't... I think it was a touchwiz thing, but am not certain...
It is definitely a ROM thing tho....
Sorry I couldn't help.

Problem:
When I tap on a contact (via the dialer) often times as I scroll down the same information duplicated (four birthdays in a row, for example). Here's the issue - you see multiple same birthdays.

When editing a contact in the Contacts app (I have a non-rooted Note 4 running stock Lollipop) it pulls up all instances of that contact, and often duplicate content (multiple instances of a birthday, same phone number, etc). This is the native contacts app on my phone. I don't know if this is pure Android app or a Samsung skin
I have only added my one Google account to Android (e.g. myemail at gmail dot com). But when I edit a contact I still see 3-5 "google" instances of that contact. See below. When I edit this contact, you see the numerous "google" headers - these are the different instances of the same contact.
Any idea how to merge all this so that I don't have multiple instances of the same contact and duplicate info for the same contact?
Thanks - I consider myself pretty bright, but this has perplexed me about Android for YEARS!

That is a Samsung app. Not the stock Android app. What I would do is use a pc and go to Google contacts and remove all the others after combining the info into one contact account
