Kaos420 Hey bud, have to admit been awhile since I looked for it to. But I found it in the app drawer but I'm running NK4. So your saying that after you updated to OK2 you lost the WiFi calling icon in the app drawer ?

I havent had it since first flashing nk4 rom back when it was first rooted. not sure if its all the roms or what that no longer have it but my gfs note 3 that i rooted has it still. Had to flash a rom over hers as well to unlock it but it kept the menu/settings for wifi calling. Mine however has been long gone and dont know of anyway of getting it back. Was my favorite thing about the note 3 with sprint when i was able to use it.
BTW her phone is running OC5 or what ever before oK2.

I am running my NK4 Deodexed Debloated OS and I do have WiFi calling its in the app drawer you can aways try a flash just click the link below in my signature.

Hey guys this is probably one of my first posts ever since joining a while back but just wanted to say that the note 3 OK2 firmware does have WiFi-calling but there is no setting for it in the settings menu. The apk file can be found in the root system folder and the only way i was able to get it is to edit the notification toggles via SQLite Editor to add the WiFi-calling toggle (VoWiFi) which in turn if you long press the new toggle button you can get to the settings. Of course you do need to have root to be able to do it. Hope that helps and if unsure how to add a toggle you can check the link below for reference.

LTE on TW ROM's extremely slow?

I've noticed that with every TW based ROM I flash, the LTE connection is horrible, not even reaching over 1MB download. However WiFi is fine, and so is call reception. I've used Internet Speed Master (App found on Google Play) but that seems to do it no justice.
When it comes to any AOSP based ROM the LTE acts completely normal in my area (20Mbps-30 for the Albany area usually).
I have done some searching but haven't found much of an answer and didn't want to bother any Devs with this.
Any help is appreciated

I noticed mine really crawling today. I thought maybe it was a Verizon issue but just for the heck of it I flashed back from the new me7 modem back to mdk. My speeds were right back to normal after reboot. Not sure if it was coincidence or the new modem was causing issues.

Ah I just noticed in my build number the ME7 at the end. I never remembered flashing or ODINing to that modem in the first place. So your saying flashing back to MDK might help out? Sorry I'm bad with the whole Radio/Modem thing.
Sent from my Galaxy S4 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
It's worth a shot. You can always flash back and forth if you need to to test which runs better on your phone.
Your phone must have installed it when you didnt notice. Unfortunately once your phone takes the ota you cant go back to mdk. If you were planning on modifying it all me7 has at the moment is root, no custom recovery. Just a heads up.
Edit:
Or did you flash an me7 based rom?

I was referring to just the me7 modem, not the full ota.

I'm assuming you haven't taken the ota if you're running custom roms

Yeah I think I had MDK and flashed one of the newer ROMs that had ME7 and didn't notice. I just got everything all set up on RLS8 and would prefer not to have to re-do everything again, so is there a way to find the MDK and either flash it or put through ODIN?

S4 Will not come out of roaming

Today for whatever reason my phone decided it didnt lke verizon anymore and decided to jump to USCC. Seriously though. I flashed the latest test build of CM 11. played with it. then wiped data and flashed CM 10.2 and booted. next thing i know it is trying to activate on USCC. So i odined to stock MDK and attempted to get it fixed. There was no help given there. Lady was really nice but still no help. I a trying to figure out what is wrong and get it fixed. Im not sure how in the world this even happened. I do this all the time and never have issues. I am open to all suggestions. Right now i am on stock rooted MJ7 using wifi as i cant even activate the new sim she issued (I keep new ones at home) to activate as it dials USCC for some reason. Any ideas. I did enable the hidden menu if that helps

I did the same thing and now I am stuck in roaming as well. I'm trying to restore a nandroid backup right now to see if that fixes it.
Edit: I restored from a nandroid backup and it still is stuck roaming. Even though it is roaming I have no cellular connection even though I have bars.
Same thing. I am trying to find a fix or a way to wipe the current carrier info. Or manually push the right info

many drop calls after 4.4 kk

Tons of drop calls after flashing to NAB. Then i tried Carbon Nightlies but did not use long enough to know if it has the same problem. Then have been on SACS kk ever since. It happens consistently with the Official NAB and SACS.
I do want to add that after deciding that I wanted to go back to 4.3, I attempted to flash back, several attempts, and several methods. I don't remember exactly what I flashed (months ago). I am beginning to second guess whether I might have flashed the wrong thing, maybe wrong radio or something.
If I post shots of my aboutPhone details, is it possible to identify what might be potentially causing this?
From my understanding you can not go back to 4.3 after flashing to NAB. It is odd that you are having these issues because I am running sacs and s5 port and I'm not having any issues what so ever. Post your about phone. Maybe someone can see from that. Gotta start somewhere.

Yeah, shortly after I found out that it was irreversible. Here is AboutDevice.
Does anything look out of place?
my phone is also dropping calls now that im on NC5 kitkat. What gives? I know sprint is notorious for this kind of spotty service but c'mon, really?
Not saying sprint is the greatest, but maybe it's service upgrades in your area?
thats what they want you to think.. but really the "network vision upgrades" are already done in my area.
Im on the debloaded NC5 stockish rom. The problem started on stock

For comparison purposes try odining back to stock NC5 if problems persist try wipping data/factory reset in stock recovery and see if that helps? I am on NAB and I have no issues?

sorry, i should have mentioned that I was originally on stock NC5 (rooted) when the issue started. since then I began to care less. The droped calls started happening 3 days ago. I started flashing roms on to my phone yesterday lol

You can always try to use older Basebands/Modems. Some users have reported that the MJ4 or NAB basebands work better in their area than the NC5 ones.
You need to first install the Engineering Bootloader. Then you can use ODIN to flash the desired Baseband.
I'm o KitKat Killer 4 NC5 and only get about 2 dropped calls a day.. I'm willing to bet this is a tower issue, rather than a software issue..

Thanks for the tip. Is it ok to use the MJ4 baseband while on NC5? I do want to try it since thats what the phone was shipped with and it worked fine out of the box for 2 days lol.
It's funny, I used to drop calls all the time in the same area. After the update I don't drop calls in that area, but now in 2 other areas every time, it's like clockwork. Usually when 4g signal is really low, amybe it's when it tries to switch to 3g it looses the call. IDK, my S4 never dropped calls and I travel the same routes to and from work.

it's probably just a way for them to try and lock the phone back down before the 4.4 release.
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=29193
looks like 4.4.2 is released to those nordic countries for the n7105. the people on the att note2 forums are playing with it. Hoping for a port if everything goes well for them.
This update its very telling. A simple roaming fix that also kills root. Looking like my last samsung phone and maybe the end of VZ for me.
There's a pdf you can view before you download the update. it lists an update for Galaxy Gear, improvements for wifi, maps, voicemail notifications, bunch of other crap. comes with amazon appstore preloaded. im not rooted so i guess i'll go ahead and download it lol.
theyve been killing root with every update. id be more surprised if they allowed root to stay.

So the numbers did not change? I am on 4.3 now...
I got the message to update today so pulled the battery.

The only thing I care about is My free WiFi Hot Spot.
The last update KILLED my free FoxFi hot spot. But I was able to get it to work again by
(1) turning the phone off,
(2) removed the SIM card,
(3) retried FoxFi, without the SIM card, That got me passed Verizon's Subscription Check and Allowed FoxFi to install a security certificate.
(4) turned the phone back off and reinstalled the SIM card.
(5) turned the phone back on and my FREE WiFi Hot Spot has been working every since.
Could someone that has already taken the latest update try this and let me know if it will work ?

So far I have not taken the update.. Sorry I cant help you..
Update and root.
Just wanted to say, I was rooted running the stock rom and I took the OTA update this morning. I still have root access according to Super SU and Root Explorer. I have no idea about Foxfi, I don't use it.
I just downloaded and installed FoxFi, and while I'll admit I'm not familiar with the app, I got it set up on my phone and was able to connect and surf the web on my sons tablet. I didn't have to use the steps in the post above though. Hope that helps?
Please tell me.

the only way that I understand on flashing a new rom <touchjizz only> is using hashcode's safestrap after rooting, I have no idea how to go about this though, I'm still unlocked on 4.1.2 bootloader running an AOSP rom, lol. knock on wood my phone won't screw up and I have to warranty it out for a "brand new" <insert refurbished> stock 4.3 Note II.

Edit: I manually moved the date forward 24hrs, rechecked for a software update and was able to download and install.
Every month when I get Security update and install, it stops My Hyundai app from working to start car.. I have to do a Factory Reset on phone then put My Hyundai app back in for it to work again with car. This is getting Old every month!!!!
I've had issues with receiving and sending mms messages ever since N rolled out. I've been staying in MM rooted running stang rom but decided to go back to N and take the ota to this release and still can't get mms messages. The AT&T lady told me it's been an issue with these updates on some android phones. Has anyone else had this issue. I just odined back to mm and am back on the stang rom now but just curious.
