Hello guys! Today I've bought a s2 screen which I thought to be the original s2 but it came out to be a S2 PLUS!!
Will the I9105's screen fit, and will it work in my I9100?
Please help guys it's really important !
I exactly had the same situation. Here's the solution:
The screen connector fits, so the screen will work. BUT: The connector for option and back softkeys doesn't fit, so they won't work. Unluckily you can't separate them from the display unit. Homebutton works.
As a workaround, I enabled onscreen buttons via build.prop editor.
Give a thanks if this helped you. Greetings.

Hey,
I was just wondering if this is a common problem, but my Galaxy S2's return key is noticeably dimmer than the menu key.
I'm picky about things, so I suppose it's not normal and if you guys can give me any tips to fix it.
Has anyone opened up their S2 and looked at the LEDs?
I know for a fact that LEDs don't dim that quick. Heck, the Galaxy S2 is relatively new!
Perhaps the LED has moved out of place so it's not directly under the return button anymore?
I'm not too sure.
Thanks!

I checked the brightness of the return and menu keys on four different SGS2s.
On all phones, the brightness is the same ... I can not recognize any difference.
So IMO, if your phone is still under warranty, just ask for a replacement.
Good luck !

The Galaxy S2 isn't even a year old, so technically every Galaxy S2 should be under warrenty, correct?
Hi there.
STAR 8000 (MyAudio 5) broken, dysfunctional touch panel software fish definitely got me.
Ordered to N8000 touchpad while I tested some ROMs.
There was one which worked, but slightly wrong color (purple) in the image.
Came the touch, I put, it went perfectly.
I tested a few ROMs, now the color has been good, because I managed to find out which type of LCD's in it, but the touch interestingly it works: it's like and would reflect the length of the touch halved.
So, from the top downwards finger scroll halfway down, half of the top.
The Menu and Back buttons do not work, Home work.
In vain I packed back in front of the ruins, we do not go. W
I suffered a lot already and it did not find any meaningful information about what should be done occasionally.
Touch screen chip : FT5306..
He met someone like already?
Can any one help?

Same happened with a Galaxy Ace touchscreen I replaced (I own a phone repair shop). I changed it 3 times before understanding why it was behaving like that. There could be 4 options.
1) chinese replacement do not always work as expected
2) the chip/sensor has been unmagnetised (can happen with everything, a magnet or even the phone antenna)
3) there is some dirty between the LCD and the touchscreen
4) the replacement is not exactly the one you need
The galaxy Ace model I had to replace was S5830i but the chinese replacement was for the S5830 (sold as working for the S5830i too)

I know, exactly what happened to me. Then it started working by itself.
Hi Guys,
After replacing the lcd and digitizer on my S3, the display is appearing upside down?
The touch screen works as if it is the right way round, but the lcd is displaying as if it is upside down.
I've also tried another lcd/digitizer and got the same results!
Is there any way to solve this? Even if it involves using ADB or the likes?
Any help is much appreciated!
Thanks
software has nothing to do with this ( i believe ) ,you connected the display wrong .
Are you sure you bought the original display ?
Hello all,
First of all I hope I am writing in the correct section... Otherwise please let me know.
Secondly: Something really strange is happening to my Galaxy S2.
Last year, the glass broke on the street and I changed it manually by buying one from eBay and following video instrctions. This year the touch and AMOLED part of the screen cracked (I don't even know how). This time I decided to buy a Galaxy S4, as I didn't want to "invest" anymore on the 2-year old smartphone, but I kept it. Later this year I decided to fix the S2 one again, and so I ordered a replacement screen (which costed a whopping $105!!!) and changed it. To my surprise, although I checked all the motherboard connections more than twice, the phone turns on, the Welcome Screen (configuration for first time usage screen) appears, but... The screen is unresponsive and I also can't change the volume nor turn the screen off by pressing the lock/power button.
If someone knows something about this problem or how to fix it, I would appreciate a comment with information regarding it to be able to understand what is happening.
Thanks in advance!
B.S.: I don't know if this information has anything to do with the problem, but the first screen I bought wasn't original, as it didn't have the Samsung logo on the ribbon cable, while the new one is original and the Samsung logo appears on the ribbon connector. I wonder: Is this a factory failure?
@joseguse
Thats what happest when u buy cheineese sh...
Buy ORIGINAL screen for I9100 and replace it. Thats all.

In short: Bought a used Tab S6 and the screen recognize my fingers flawlessly, but it won't recognize my Spen
Things I've tried already:
Going into settings and changing stuff, did nothing
Factory reset, nothing
Try another spen, nothing
Try the spen on other Samsung devices, works like a charm with both writing and button usage
It is to note that the screen is kinda badly glued into the device so maybe they changed the screen and didn't connect the ribbons correctly? Or the screen they installed just doesn't work with the spen?
Searching online I came to a post which suggested using the menu from *#2663#, I dialed those numbers and all the Wacom text says as following:
FW Version of WACOM IC: Not Supported
FW Version in Kernel Image: Not Supported
Tuning Version of WACOM IC: Not Supported
I believe this is at fault from being unable to use the Pen? There's two buttons down that text, only one is clickable, "Wacom FW Update (Kernel Binary)" when pressed says it's updating and must not be turned off, but it remained in that state for over an hour with nothing happening, the device turned off and nothing changed
Returning the tablet is not an option so I would like to know if I can fix this or just accept that it will not work with the spen
Solution 1: Clean the screen.
Solution 2: Reset touchscreen calibration.
Solution 3: Install the latest updates.
Solution 4: Two button shutdown (Surface Pro only)

I believe this is for Wacom tablets on Windows devices? My problem is on a Samsung Tablet Tab S6, which runs Android and uses Wacom tech for it's Spen
accept the fact that the tablet will work without sp3n. they cut the flat. it happened to me with a note 4
same as your problem but on tab s7, have you found any solution?
I couldn't, sorry, ended up gifting the tablet and getting a S7 FE. Kinda miss the Oled screen and the extra powerful processor. The S7 FE lags heavily with HD content at 60fps on YouTube lol
What I could find though was a menu you accessed via the phone dialer on the tablet, you know, those secret config settings? There was an option to reboot the Wacom controller. It didn't work for me but it may for you. I don't remember what was the code to put on the dialer tho, you'll have to search for it
Edit: lol I put that code in my original comment
My tablet was bought used and the screen was badly glued to the frame, so my hypothesis was that the previous owner replaced the screen and 1. Didn't properly attach the Wacom connector 2. The screen they used couldn't be used with the Wacom digitizer
Hope this is some help to you
