Do you make these ROMs?? Or are you linking to other's ROMs?
If they're yours, are they source built or port? Where's the source?
i port these roms
and u can ask these formally

I'm sorry if wasn't polite, but linking to other's ROMs is very serious problem.
Anyway, can you provide the ROM from which you port this? Can you try to compile a ROM from source? I'm asking because I'm not a dev.

Hi, I'm about to buy this phone, and I'm very interested by your work.
I see you list "2G on second SIM" in the bugs, what does it mean exactly ? The second SIM does not work at all ? Or if it works, what are the limitations ?
The other bug "screen mirroring", what is it ? You mean maybe screen orientation ? Or is it the ability to do screen casting (display the phone on a TV for example) ?
Thanks in advance for the clarifications.

2G on second SIM means only 2G network will be available on the second SIM. You won't be able to connect to 3G/4G on it as you otherwise will.
Screen Mirroring is screen casting. Yes to TVs, etc.

Perfect, I was actually not aware the second SIM could work in 3G/4G, 2G is enough for me
Another question, if I understand correctly, you actually used an AICP ROM compiled from source for Redmi note 2 and modified it (but without compiling anything) to make it work for K3 note, am I right ? Do you know if the source for the original ROM for Redmi note 2 is available ? I'd be interested to try to compile it myself. Also I'm interested to know what modifications you needed to do to make it work for the K3 note.

Yes my plan is to do modifications, but first already manage to compile unmodified, then do the necessary modifications in the sources.

Regarding second SIM and 2G, actually I saw some picture of the SIM slots, and the second one has writing "2G" so it seems to indicate that the device itself only support 2G in second slot, it's not a bug of your ROM.

No. Both the SIMs support 2G/3G/4G but you can 3G/4G on only one SIM at a time. This ROM won't support that. That's bug. I hope it's clear.

Of course ! I didn't say I intended to run the unmodified version on the K3 note, just that I would first compile it like this, just to make sure I'm able to do that and have every required sources.

Don't get this photo too serious. The international version of K3 Note supports up to 4G on both sims. Note that the Indian version is different - it's called k50a40, while the international version is k50-t5

The Indian version K50a40 (the one I have) also supports 4G on both sims. There's only one version, actually. The K50-T5. The K50a40 is just the same phone with the model number changed. It shows K50-T5 on some of the hardware parts on my phone too.

FAQ
FIRST AND FOREMOST
HOW TO PROPERLY POST A BUG - Guide to logcats, dmesg and last_kmsg.
Coming in and saying "XYZ isn't working", isn't as helpful as some might think. Even if your intentions are good i.e., making this rom better, I (and any developer for that matter)needs more info. Logcats are the way to do this. If it's a kernel panic, last_kmsg is where it's at. Without supplying me with proper logs I may not be able to help and you may be ignored. Sorry to be harsh but we all have lives outside of xda(hopefully) and time is pretty precious.
GPS isn't working! HELP!
While it works for me, this has been a known issue on LG phones and AOSP roms since I owned my LGOG. First thing to try is to restore your stock backup, get a lock for a few minutes then restore the rom. The only other issue may be with your particular version of GAPPS. Sometimes Google Services can act funny with location services. I use PA Nano and have had zero issues with GPS.
Why won't NFC work?
This is a bug for pretty much every rom right now. We are all working on a fix and as soon as one is available, I will rebuild and reupload the rom.
My 64gb+ sd card won't work!!
While exFAT is usually preferred over FAT32, exFAT has been hit or miss so USE A COMPUTER to format your sd card to FAT32 if exFAT doesn't work for you. DO NOT USE TWRP OR STOCK LG - USE A COMPUTER!!!!

Yeah I was gonna say, I had that issue before as well and knew I fixed it(took me FOREVER and I refused to release even a beta until the basics work) but remnants are a serious pain particularly on LG products.

Oh yeah, Idk if it would be the same for lollipop, but resync, everything. lol. That's what I did. And used cm/the muppets updated sources for device and vendor. Then change cm.mk and cm.dependencies to liquid.mk, etc and change the files themselves(switch cm to liquid in those) and voila! Hope it helps you buddy!
EDIT: Oh, under vendor you need atleast g3-common and lss990, under devices you need those AND qcom, possibly samsung as well but definitely qcom and g3/ls990. Good luck.

What is your apn set to under mobile network? It should be Sprint LTE. If it is then I'm guessing there is still an issue with the eri.xml file but it should just be a label error. It doesn't mean you are actually roaming or should incur roaming charges, particularly if you have data not working while roaming(under the same mobile network menu in settings). I'll look into it but mine says Sprint.
Damn, you've been busy HP. Thanks so much for all this. Won't be able to try til Monday, but looking forward to it.

It's weird because even though I think I may know what the issue is, mine and aheeejd's said Sprint. These phones are too picky. I'm gonna try something and rebuild anyway. New build probably won't be up til tomorrow though.

Cyanogenmod 12.1 Unofficial Kinzie Port
Hi, everyone! Here's a little surprise for you: @Xadro and I have been working the last couples of weeks on porting CM12.1 to our Kinzie devices... and we have! So we wanted to share this little present with you, a port of CM12.1 for our brand new X Force device.
SCREENS
Some good old screens for you
COMPATIBILITY
From what we've tested, it works on EU Moto X Force, we don't know if it will work on devices from other zones - China, Brazil... Also, even if you could flash the ROM on US Droid Turbo 2 it probably wouldn't work as it doesn't have the Verizon vendor files on it, sorry .
WHAT WORKS
As far as we know, everything that's not Moto related.
What does that mean? No Moto Voice, Moto Actions or Moto Display, so please think carefully before flashing so you don't have to go back to store Moto later. Moto Gallery and Moto Camera can be flashed, though.
Also, if you see anything that's not working properly, please contact us.
WHAT DOESN'T WORK
As stated before, most Moto Apps will just FC.
Some applications fail to install from Play Store with an SDCard on the device.
Anything else you find while using it.
DOWNLOADS
CM12.1 for Kinzie ROM - [27/02/2016]
23/02/2016 version - works fine with multiSIM
Open GApps - Choose ARM64 and 5.1!
Modems
Lollipop 5.1 EU Modem
Lollipop 5.1 LATAM Modem
INSTRUCTIONS
Please follow these instructions carefully:
Copy the ROM and the GApps zip to your phone storage - internal or sdcard, it doesn't matter.
Unlock bootloader. CAUTION: this will probably void your warranty AND WIPE ALL YOUR DATA, INCLUDING INTERNAL STORAGE - photos, songs, documents...
Flash TWRP recovery from bootloader. I recommend using @Xadro's. If you are using mine, install this one, since mine won't let you flash the ROM.
Code:
fastboot flash recovery TWRP-3.0.0_kinzie.img
If you were already on Android 6.0, flash the Android 5.1 modem. Otherwise you'll have network issues.
Code:
fastboot flash modem modem.bin
Reboot to recovery.
Do a full backup - you'll probably thank me later .
Wipe data, some settings from stock ROM may lead to bootloops or malfunction.
Install CM from the zip.
Install GApps.
Reboot and enjoy!
SOURCES
Kinzie Porting Github - the repos may be messy, we'll try to tidy them up a bit in the future.
CREDITS
CyanogenMod team for their base source and documentation.
AICP Team for their clark sources, since we used them as a base for kinzie.
Of course, @Arasthel and @Xadro .

I wonder if they can do whatever they did to the eu modem to our mx modem to make it work with the port?

CM dev got the Moto Quark IR sensors to work just fine. (Droid Turbo XT1254, Moto Turbo XT1225, "international" Moto Maxx XT1225, U.S. Moto Maxx XT1250)
So, it's possible.
We have 12.0, 12.1 (Lollipop 5.1.1) and now Preview Build of CM 13 (Marshmallow), all with Motorola IR sensors. Other Quark ROMs are also using CM's code.

Actually, we didn't do anything to the EU modem, it's the stock 5.1 one. If you flash the MX 5.1 one and it doesn't work, that's because build.prop is not configured properly. It would be helpful if you upload your stock build.prop, but it will be difficult to detect your phone region in order to use the configuration you need. Maybe @Xadro can think of a better solution.

We're not saying it's not possible, we're saying it's a really difficult task. Quark uses the STM401 sensor device with Moto Sensor Hub to make IR work. Instead, Clark and Kinzie use the STML47X sensor. While there is a library module for STM401 there doesn't seem to be one for STM4L. Maybe the STM401 will partially work, but I wouldn't bet on that...

Not clear which modem you flashed...
Re-flash your stock modem for YOUR phone.
If you already did that, sorry.
Ok, so here's my Build.prop, I don't know if that would help. Anyway, thanks a lot.

Thanks for the build.prop, I was able to make a new configuration for LATAM Kinzie. Can you try this version? Also, remember to flash the right modem (LATAM for 5.1). It's the "NON-HLOS.bin" file that comes on the stock ROM zip, or at least it was on EU.

Yeah, i've already flashed the right módem, in fact i downgraded to stock 5.1.1 to be ready for your ROM cause CM or AOSP is what I was craving for the X Force since i've found the stock to be solid, but sluggish at times. Will try this Build in a few hours, when I can get some WiFi coverage, and then report back. Thank you for your hard work.

I'm now using the XT1521 variant(asian version of Moto e LTE) on JIO 4G network.(which supports voice over lte aka volte).
But the problem is that theres no rom available except stock marshmallow ota update which supports volte calling right now in this device(I guess,But if theres any rom working with volte feature please post this in the thread).
***MY EXPERIENCE WITH ROMS FOR VOLTE CALLING***
Working on-Stock OTA Marshmallow update.
call gets connected but no audio on-pac rom(latest alpha official from shreps's website)
call does not even get connected-cyanogen,caf,flymeos etc. etc.
Does anyone have any fix for this issue???

AFAIK Surnia (XT1521) supports band 40 by default. Dial *#*#4636#*#* and check Phone information. You will find radio/band settings there.

Where are u from.?
which sim card are u using.?
do u know which band is used by that sim.?
I am using jio sim card which uses band 40 for volte i.e. voice over lte, which allows us to make calls.
well, Latest stock rom didn't support this feature, whenever I tried to call any number, msg pops call ended.
well, this happens only with this sim, I tried my other sim cards they working fine.
and also I asked some people on xda about this, all of them are facing this problem.!

Yeah, I noticed my "Enhanced" LTE mode was turned off. My bad.
I'm also using surnia xt1526 which belongs to Sprint and LTE band supported are
B2 (1900 PCS) LTE
B5 (850) LTE
B26 (850 +) LTE
B41 (TD 2500) LTE
Currently I'm running CM13 and I had noticed in advanced menu I saw a option "TURN OFF VOLTE PROVISIONED FLAG" is that something related to VoLTE??
and one more it's possible to flash stock asian firmware on xt1526 because I had flash it once without any issue. But it'll show dual sim option and there's nothing to worry about it.

Hey, as long as you follow our flash guide, there won't be a bootloop.
How you get the v2.6.2? We don't release the international version of v2.6.2.
Please make the ROM to be TWRP flash compatible. Including OTA. This way it is easy to make nandroid backups of other Roms and encourage people to try Smartisan.
And of course the obvious next question. Any idea when we can see Marshmallow based Smartisan for OPO?
Thanks for all the support. Makes me happy to own and use OPO with all the many official ROM support

Download right TWRP, depending upon the way you have unlocked bootloader basis this thread. I used Safe TWRP as mine in unofficially unlocked.
Post that take backup for future and go ahead with factory reset and installation of sMIUI. The first boot takes time.

Making VoLTE Work
Hello,
I had MIUI8 v6.7.28 and VoLTE was working.. Because of battery drain issue moved to sMIUI v6.7.21 and VoLTE was not working. But then learnt from fellow users if MIUI8 v6.7.21 that VoLTE was working for them..
Searched forums and read couple of posts at en.miui.com of same issue.. VoLTE working for some and not working for others.
Just to clarify, for all these people, there was always the option to enable VoLTE under "Sim cards & mobile networks. But even after enabling VoLTE, people were not seeing the sign in Status BAr or able to make VoLTE calls. Somewhere I read that sometimes swapping of SIM from Slot 2 to Slot 1 helps... For me it was reverse.. Jio (VoLTE capable sim) was in Slot 1 only. But since there was no harm in trying I went ahead.
What I did to make VoLTE work was following:
1) Swapped SIM - it was in SIM slot 1 and I put in SIM slot 2
2) Booted in recovery and wiped cache
3) Booted the phone and went to settings to enable VoLTE option
4) After few mins... yes mins... I saw icon HD in my phone.
And bingo, was able to make HD (VoLTE) calls from my Jio sim.
Hit thanks if you found my post helpful :good:
Update to 6.8.4 either Global beta or Xiaomi.eu as it has fixed the battery bug and also VoLTE works fine
