Hi, friends I have the V10 AT&T (H900) since yesterday the fingerprint reader stopped working and I get the following message:
"There is a problem on the fingerprint sensor. If this message occurs repeatedly, restart your phone"
I tried restarting but nothing.
I appreciate if anyone knows of any solution.
Have you found a fix? I just encountered this problem last night. I am also receiving the same error but I have not attempted a FDR yet.
When I enter the fingerprint settings menu I am told its broken and to restart the phone, but nothing changes.

Hi, i bought l9 from orange romania 3 months ago. since then, in the first month i managed to update it to official Jelly bean, unlock bootloader, install CWM, and then ofcourse, root. everything went fine except until yesterday when the Wi-Fi suddenly stopped working. When i tried to turn it on it was stuck at Turning Wi-Fi on. I even tried installing CyanogenMod 10.1 on it, with no luck.
After my unsuccesful attempt with cyanogenmod, I also tried restoring a rooted CWM backup of a stock rom. Same problem, wifi doesnt start at all. What should i do?
Thanks in advance!
I had the same problem but I don't remember how I solved it exactly. I have done something in service menu or installed brand new one with kdz.
Try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=41486538&postcount=3
It didn't work. Same problem. Wi-fi hanging at "Turning Wi-fi on". Also, wi-fi mac address , under settings is "unavalaible" and i can't even turn on Wi-fi tethering. Flashing Original KDZ is my last chance. I'll be back with a response as soon i'm done.

I also have an L9 and started having the same problems last night around the time of your original post. The only difference is that I haven't rooted the phone. There have been recent android updates, however. Any more suggested solutions?
Thanks.
Well, i think there is nothing left to do other than sending it to warranty. I'm still open for suggestions.

kdz didn't work?
take a look what logcat is saying
This is what logcat is saying. Another question. It is safe to flash v20.kdz using offline method for fully returning to stock?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
LE for users having the same problem. After sending it to warranty they changed the "faulty" motherboard. Now wi-fi is working just fine. Seems that i've got a problematic unit in the first place. Even though i unlocked the bootloader they changed it under no fees.

Maybe the fingerprint sensor was damaged, I suggest go to service center and let them check it.

Besides even the fingerprint scanner doesn't work you can still use your phone so don't do anything that will make it unusable.
Anyway Galaxy alpha was released september 2014 so its still under 12 months warranty, but for safe just leave it to the experts

You're right. But I rooted this phone
i do have the exact same problem. fingerprint won´t work after i flashed Resurrection Remix.
I even did a full reset to stock with kies. still the fingerprint won´t work.
Anybody know a fix? maybe it has something to do with knox being set to 0x1 ?

Maybe hardware error.

But it worked fine before. Why would it suddenly not work after reflashing stock rom again?
It didn´t drop or anything that would explain a hardware error.
I have exactly the same problem. Was happening before Xmas so they sent it away for repair. Apparently some glue had come loose!
But 2 months ago it happened again. I cleared the cache and forced stop on the fingerprint and it worked for a day or two. Then stopped again. About 15 attempts to do the same again and it finally worked long enough for me to change my backup password to something simple. Not worked for weeks now even though I've done a factory reset. The about 4 weeks ago my boyfriends alpha did exactly the same! Surely this shows it has to be a software issue? I'd love it to work at least long enough so I can change to pin to unlock.
Same thing happened to my alpha .
It was working fine since i bought alpha (7 months)
But now its not working , now what to do ?
Service centre has ordered Home button/Sensor .
Will it fix ?

Are you sure you never damaged the home button, perhaps dirty fingers or scratches can cause issues to the fingerprint scanner.
No , i haven't dropped my phone or scratched .
I feel the same friend .

Also I have this problem too but not rooted or never factory reseted my phone...
Mine too does that...what can I do?
Has anybody downgraded to a lower update? Maybe early 5.0.2 firmwares or even 4.4.4 and see if it gets fixed?
Hello there!
I upgraded my midong to the last CN firmware by mistake and I tried to downgrade to 1.0.5.60 English using notify&fitness app
The process was shown as completed and successful, but my midong is working with a black screen and it doesn't connect by Bluetooth.
Anyone with the same problem?
Is there any way to soft/hard reset and install fw again?
BLE Scanner detects the midong but its unable to discover services/connect
Thx guys for your help! :crying:
The black screen is because the correct file is missing (thats no problem)!
But have you tried with a few devices? Maybe your main flash device has a bluetooth mac adress conflict?!

Did you get any solution to the black screen. My amazfit cor stucked in this black screen after a firmware downgrade, and It does not connect through bluetooth.
Hey I have a similar problem too.... black screen, oddly I can see it via Bluetooth but cannot connect. I am at odds on trying to figure out another way to send the missing file. Any other ideas on this?
mine got stuck while trying to do its own update, it keeps trying to connect and appears like it does when you accept the prompt on the screen but then the app kicks it back and says it didnt connect...its 2 weeks old and they have no solutions for this ?

Mine also started doing this yesterday. I've had mine for 6 months now. Wonder if it was maybe some update that caused it? Have you found a solution yet?
Solution
After upload a watchface i also got the black screen
For me the solution was open mi fit go to profile/amazfit cor\display settings\ make any change in the items order and save

Exactly same problem here. It did its own update in March and then can't pair it up to updgrade or downgrade anymore. Bricked.
Working again
So my Amazfit Cor is working again. I let the battery drain (almost took 2 months) and after the restart, the pairing worked again.
after using the dialer menu to update to .187 on my lya-09 i can no longer use face unlock. i deleted the stored faces to see if this would fix it and i can no longer even enroll my face, it just sits at the look directly at the screen part and never goes any further. any ideas?
even after a factory reset i still cannot enrol face. it recognises my face is there but does not prompt me to turn my head like it usually does. i have no idea why
What's the dialer menu update method?
Found it.
djisgod I'm sorry that I can't offer you any help, but if you please keep us posted abot your problem and eventual solution. Thx in advance
It's probably seeing the software as modified and not allowing you to use the secure face unlock feature. Or it's broken by the update which might be why they've delayed it.
I'm not sure it is very strange. Does anybody know which apk or app it is that does the face enrolling so i can try and install a different version?
i have done the update, and face unlock works without any problem for me, but i also have the lya-l29
still no luck with this. i have tried reset to factory settings and reinstalling the firmware. neither work.
and now it has suddenly started working again. lol not sure why it stopped but i am glad its back!
which update file have you used to update your phone?
describe exactly which file you've used to update via dialer menu AND even which model do you use?
I used the update for my phone the lya-09 c432. 9.0.0.187 update file. All is working fine now. Not sure what was going on but face unlock is now working again.
I have this weird issue with my LG g8X thinq. The gyroscope and accelometer sensors have stopped responding . It gets fixed temporarily once i facorty reset the phone but reappears when i restart the phone. I have done multiple factory resets and also flashed new firmware through LG bridge software. This is weird problem which i'm unable to understand it can't be software because i reinstalled firmware twice and also not hardware because it works unless i restart the phone. Please help anyone.
