Huawei P8 running B317 Marshmallow - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello there, I am running B317 on my huawei p8 and I use a sony smartwatch 3 with it. Since updating to this version, when a twitter, whatsapp, facebook or any other notification comes through on my phone exactly when they are supposed to, it fails to arrive on time on my smartwatch 3. When they arrive they can be anything from 5 to 20 minutes late and sometimes not until I use the phone for a while. When the phone is on charge they come through straight away on both my phone and smartwatch 3. I have been through every setting I can think of trying to fix this. Has anybody else had any similar issues and if so did they fix them?
Thanks

Gear s and Note 4 constantly dropping connection

Hi everyone.
I trolled over many threads before posting, as I can't seem to find anyone with the same issue exactly from what I can see. Hoping this post finds someone who has had this issue.
I have Gear S, and Note 4. note 4 is running 5.0.1 and is completely stock (no root, no custom rom)
My connection between Gear S and Note was perfect for months, but I feel after OTA update to 5.0.1 that I have started getting connection issues.
At random times throughout the day I get the noise where bluetooth has disconnected, and my note 4 vibrates to tell me gear S has disconnected. Then 3-5 seconds later it connects again. This can happen constantly for up to 30 minutes until I eventually get sick of it and turn both phone and watch back on again.
I have tried
* Turn off both devices, sometimes this works.
* Uninstall Gear manager. Unpair Bluetooth from Gear, Re-install, Re-pair.
* Sometimes when I try to repair I get a message 'cannot connect to Gear' I have to restart all devices to fix this and start again
* Hard reset Gear s... repeat all steps above.... still does not fix it.
* Trying to avoid hard reset of Note 4, as painful to get all app data back without root.
Has anyone experienced this issue before, and happened to find away around it ?
many thanks, Sean
I'm in a similar boat, when I have my gear s on the wrist and the note 4 in my pocket, my note 4 switches off in few minutes, If I disconnect my gear s, then my note 4 doesn't switch off. Don't know how to fix the problem

Mine actually fixed itself, but it took me landing on the 5.1.1 update on my note 4, and the latest gear manager software. From there, I have not had the dropouts like I used to in the past.
I did for some time run custom roms to help fix the issue, and it worked. but when I returned to Stock and 5.1.1 my issues went away.
Just wanted to share my situation today.

Moto 360 2015 only responsive when phone screen is turned on.

Hi guys,
I recently bought my Moto 360 2nd gen. After 4 weeks, it started to fail pushing messages through. In the beginning, unreliable, now, nothing except for. My step count....
I restart my watch everyday, disconnect and connect with my phone, factory restarted it several times. Only for 15 min, it tends to work, than, the same described above.
Now, I found out, when I wake up my phone it push messages through, and music toggles are working. Messages which are received by my phone before I picked it up will not be pushed through though.
Does anyone can help me with this issue, before I go to ask my money back from Motorola, because I start to get frustrated!
I bought it to leave my phone in my pocket, now, I have it in my hands even more:crying:

hey.. i have the same problem with my moto 360 2015. i dont have any idea what you mean by delete. i have tried everything except phone reset. i tried pairing my watch with my old tablet and everything is working fine. i think it started after the latest security patch on my phone. BTW my phone is note 4 still on lollipop(no marshmallow yet) and not rooted. i need help solving, thanks in advance
update:
I have just found the cause of the problem. It was the new app optimization feature that samsung installed on my device after the latest update. i just disabled the optimization on my AW app.

Marshmallow iPhone connectivity problem

Ever since the Marshmallow update I need to factory reset my watch everytime it disconnects from my phone.
I get the touch to reconnect card on the watch, launch the app on the iPhone, press it and then it says Reconnecting... and after a few seconds it says Touch to reconnect once again - essentialy nothing happens.
I have been using Android Wear with my iPhone ever since the app came out in August, and this used to work perfectly with my G Watch R and then Moto 360 2nd Gen, up until the Marshmallow update a few days ago. Sadly, this makes this otherwise perfect update, which has made the watch so much better, useless to me.
If I do factory reset the watch it pairs without an issue and works again for a day or two until I wander away from the phone. Do you guys use your watches with an iPhone and if you do, do you experience such problems as I do?

Me Too!
This just started happening to me yesterday! I performed a factory wipe on my iPhone, and after going through the Android Wear setup successfully, I was connected normally. I turn off my watch at the end of each day, and the next morning I was unable to reconnect the two devices. That annoying "Tap to reconnect" card was displaying, and I couldn't get rid of it. Usually when this happens, I'm able to either turn off Bluetooth and switch it back on, or just completely restart the phone, and then the watch and phone are able to reconnect.
This is very frustrating, and I can't find a helpful thread anywhere! If anyone has found a fix, please let me know!

Moto 360 2nd gen running Android OS 6.0.1
Thanks in advance!

I have in fact found a solution for my problem about a week ago. I've spent the last few months using Aerlink and that was a miserable experience.
The solution as it turns out is even posted on Motorla's web site but I only found it there after I knew what I was searching for. Talking to their support earlier never helped and they never offered this particular solution.
All I had to do was, after a factory reset of the watch, go to the Bluetooth settings of the iPhone and just press "Forget this device" for my watch. Only then can you pair it again using the Android Wear app and have no connection problems later.
What had happened was that I had a working watch on Lollipop as it was the first time I had ever paired it to my iPhone. I then proceeded to unpair and pair it with my Android phone so I can get the Marshmallow update faster, which I did. Resetting the updated watch and trying to pair it again with the iPhone via the Wear app and without forgetting it from the settings app is what triggered my problems. I hope this was helpful to anyone who has this problem

Random reboot
I got same problem. It is exactly as you described. My firmware is BLA-L09 8.0.0 (C782). And Yours?
It's happened to my one 3-4 times since I got it and happened last night when I was using it's torch to see where I was going in total darkness, which was not helpful!
I'm on BLA-L09 8.0.0.124 (C782).
So... It was happend to me last night as well. Two days ago when I ve used torch. I ve spoked with Polish branch of huawei support and they said that they have different firmware but they had same problem. With some update it has been sorted out. So apparently we have to wait for an update. I am sure for 99% we have problems with our firmware. No reasons to be worry.
Having the same issue on my Mate 10 PRO, random restart while using the phone

Huawei mate10 pro auto reboot
I have same problem here with mate 10pro. When I bought the phone it doesn't reboot this way. After 1 month it start to reboot randomly. Even I did not do anything on my phone. Please help.
Hi;
This problem started to occure this week on my huewai nova, does anybody know how to fix it?
It occurs randomly, while speaking on phone, while surfing on chrome, while looking at photos or writing in whatsapp...
Also started on MATE8
The same problem started this week on my Mate 8. I was going to replace it with a 10 and now find out it is happening on all the Huawei. What in the world is going on?
The same problem with my Mate 9 Pro since the second March update of Oreo.
I returned to the factory settings with no hope but it' s ok for now, if you have a chance, you can try to return factory settings too. (Nova)
I also reset to the factory settings, but after a few days the problem returned
I use Nova on Mate 10 standard, only one random reboot in 3 months so far

Same here!
I'm using P20 Pro. I also experienced random reboot same as all of you. I even brought the phone back to Huawei service centre just last week to fix it but it didn't help. What they did was just to reflash the firmware into my phone. It seems like most huawei phones on Android 8 has this issue. Terrible!
Get used to it it's a Huawei
Same here... Using Mate10 ALP-L29C636B136. I just do updates OTA til I got to 136 then suddenly my phone is now useless due to severe random reboots. I ended up unlocking bootloader, rooting it and installing TWRP, and trying several means to flash stock firmware but I'm always failing. Also tried HuRUpdater but failed as well. Any other suggestions?
Found this thread on google. This is frustrating. Random soft reboots on my P10 at least twice per day. I've tried root, non-root, downgrading versions, nada. I haven't tried returning to nougat though. Maybe I'll do that.
EDIT: Turned out to be a huawei accessibility bug. Uninstalled an app that uses accessibility permission and it doesn't randomly reboot anymore.

Amazfit T-Rex pro constanstly restarting

Hello guys i have been wondering around google and other sites to find a solution but nothing seems to work.
So i got a new T-rex pro 2 days ago, and its a pretty good watch, but since day 1 and after all the updates i cant use it properly. It is constantly restarting and after that runs ok for a while.
It is restarting when i try to change faces from the watch. After some idle if i went to the menu and select any type of measure it restarts again. It restarted in settings couple of times. Today it restarted in the middle of my workout and at every end of a workout, when i press "save" it restarts. Sometimes it restarts when i awake the screen by turning my wrist. It restarts very often when i try to interact with it in any way. Im running ZEPP on Iphone 7 plus ( the old lady ). In system update it says i am running 2.0.4.11.
If anyone can provide some support i will be most grateful, as for now this watch is good, but unusable.
I've just bought one, and I haven't received it yet. But may I ask you, if you have hard resetted via official application. And there is a 3rd party app with a lot of extra features..You may also try resetting via that app. Or flashing official firmware again.
It’s a great watch I love it, hope you have no problems. Well I only got the Zepp app, runs as a charm. The support team through the app is great as well, they proposed to assist me with the seller and with the documents I have, I tried factory resets 2 or 3 times but didn’t work. It is interesting that after the factory reset, it didn’t prompt me to update firmware. It has been 2 weeks now since I sent it via warranty to the supplier, turns out it is rather shady shop, there are other people complaining about the quality of the tech, but so many happy customers as well.
Hopefully they will return it to me as it was at least, and I will try these workarounds, but this will be in 2 more weeks I think. They said they have 30 days rights to take a decision
ı hope you get your watch soon and fixed
