Shouldn't have tried a kernel if you wanted to keep Knox 0.
Simply a reinstall of the room via Odin should have solved. Need to wipe and then reinstall via Odin now.
man, I tried all the software probabilities
changed the kernal
and get it back to the stock one
flashed a stock roms in many versions (MM and lollipop) from sammobile
nothing did work for me !!
this is the fourth day trying to solve it with no result !!
You haven't said if you wiped cache from recovery. Even with boot loop should be able to get into recovery http://thedroidguy.com/2015/06/how-to-get-samsung-galaxy-s6-edge-out-of-boot-loop-107653
anyone found a solution for this problem ?

Where are you based? You could send to Samsung as you can say it failed during flash.
Have you tried smart switch? And 5.1.1 over 6.0.1 will cause headaches.
After odin flash go into recovery and factory reset. Sometimes it helps.

Take/Send it back to seller.
Or flash custom kernel via download mode using ODIN and then boot into recovery and wipe data/factory reset. If that doesnt work flash complete Samsung stock rom from http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/.

Thanks did a factory reset via CWM works well now, well it was a virus i think o_o , anyway i've installed lookout security .
EDIT: SOLVED
Fixed it, thanks to Zuluman!
For anyone else with this issue here's how I solved it:
Installed stock i9300 UK (BTU) 4.3 ROM using ODIN
Flashed TWRP recovery with ODIN
Downloaded Patched_XXUGMK6_kernel.zip and Patched_XXUGMK6_modem.zip:
Zuluman's Files
Installed these via. the TWRP recovery
Wiped data, cache and dalvik cache, rebooted the device and then it should connect

Hi,
I'm aware there are a TON of threads similar to this out there but I have tried so many 'solutions' and cannot get anywhere.
I am getting the 'Emegency Calls Only' error on my Galaxy S3 i9300 after trying to use custom ROMs and even the stock ROMs. My IMEI and serial number are correct and I have also tried the ARIZA patch but I still receive the same error.
I'd be very grateful if anyone could help and also if any more info. is required, I'll post it.
Thanks.
Try to find the latest recovery for the device and get the "modem.bin" file out of the Archive and flash it using Odin using the CP or the Phone button.

Good to know it's helped others Exact reason why I commented how I fixed it, because there are so many threads that say either "fixed" and give no solution, or they never reply!
it works but the phone goes modified and counter goes +2 and custom rom in download mode .

Purchase Triangle Away from Google Play, reset the counter then you should get the following:
Product Name: GT-I9300
Custom Binary Download: No
Current Binary: Samsung Official
System Status: Official
However, I don't know about this method in a custom ROM since it'd be custom, not official stock.
i flash them through a custom recovery , so how i can get it official and zero count !!
Thanks for that!

After flashing through a custom recovery, I think if you might be able to use Triangle Away to set the counter to zero, then extract the recovery.img (or .bin?) from the stock ROM and flash this through ODIN so you'll end up with stock ROM and stock recovery.

Hi everyone
I have a problem with my son's samsung galaxy s3 gt-I9300
He wanted to update the firmware to 4.4 kitkat and I don't know what he did but the phone is now stuck on the recovery screen
I've googled for hours for a solution and finally decided to ask for help
I've removed the battery and held power for 1 minute in case there was static somewhere.
Every time the phone is switched on it goes straight to the recovery screen.
I tried wipe cache partition and that didn't work and then tried a wipe data/factory reset and it's still not working.
As far as I know he installed odin and CWM.
If anyone could just help me get into the OS again that will be more than enough
Thanks in advance
Hey
This is probably caused by you son somehow deleting the OS. Try using odin to reflash stock firmware (google odin and sammobile) this should fix your problem ? dont hesitate to ask for any more help.
The Pokemon-hype
The simpliest way is flashing the firmware again (sammobile.com), then root (CF-autoroot), then recovery (from twrp.me), then custom-ROM. Details are written many times here or on youtube...
If there are data to be saved, look here.

To reflash firmware boot to download mode (volume down, home key and power simultaneously.
i already did a search in google and XDA but nothing worked ! please read carefully
my G925I just restarted and never be able to boot again, so i enter to stock recovery and wiped cache data BUT no luck, and flashed a stock firmware and still the same, it's boot to stuck recovery and show installing updates BUT at 30% its stop and saying "erasing" then its reboot and stay in bootloop,
i managed to get into download mode and flashed TWRP recovery, when ever i try to flash a rom the phone restart again and enter bootloop and it's never shutdown!!
tried :
1- wipe everything
2- flash more than one stock firmware
3- flash recovery and succeeded BUT it's keep restarting !
4- flash custom ROM BUT no luck, keep restart at installing !
5- flashed custom kernel and it WORKED :good:
for now i can only boot into download mode without restart
have a solution ? :crying:

This is a soft boot due to the fact you still have the ability to access recovery and such what i would suggest you do is get factory files and restore phone back to stock and start over this should fix your problem. If you look around XDA you will find the files you will need ODIN being the main tool you will use to flash your phone.

You have flashed a stock firmware with stock bootloader etc. using odin and still stuck in a soft brick ? remember to wipe the phone a rule of thumb i use is to wipe the phone 3 times before i flash and 3 times after i flash. during the first boot up it may take a little time to boot as it must rebuild the cache. I dont think it is a motherboard issue i think you may have just flashed a wrong file that needs to be wiped out before continuing on. i have had this problem in the past with a galaxy s2 when i was developing custom roms for it. it took me a couple of wipes and factory firmware reflashes but i eventually got the phone back in working order. look here for the factory files you will need to re flash your phone with odin ----> https://samsung-firmware.org/model/SM-G925I/ also make sure you are using the latest version of ODIN you will to put your phone in download mode instead of recovery
Hi, could you fix it ?? I am facing the same issue.
PROBLEM SOLVED, THANK YOU !
Hi.
I just recently rooted my Honor 5X (KIW-UL00 , it's the chinese model)
I then tried installing a custom ROM, the LineageOS. Problem being that I was stuck in a weird BootLoot. When I rebooted the system, it showed me the usual Honor page for like 4-5 seconds, then the loading screen for LineageOS. After like 10 seconds, the animation stopped, the thing crashed and my phone restarted to the Honor page, then Lineage, then crash ... So I booted my phone with TWRP, tried Wiping the Cache and System and started over again with installing Lineage. The same thing happened. I then tried with 3 other custom ROM'S and the same thing happened. I don't know what I did wrong, I am wiping my cache and Dalvic each time, but I can't figure out what to do.
I'm looking for someone who could help me fix this. I am thinking about flashing the stock ROM, I just don't know how to do it, because it seems different than the custom ROM'S
PS: I'm looking for a kick fix, because I kinda really need my phone xD
Thank you!
Ok so, quick update, I got rid of TWRP by flashing the stock recovery over it. I tried to follow this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-5x/help/honor-5x-kiw-ul00-boot-loop-t3449554
(DigiGoon's first answer) but it told me that the installation failed.
So in short, my phone is actually in a endless bootloob, trying to boot no ROM, because the're none.
what's the stock system version you were running before you flashed the custom rom? B418 is the latest non VoLTE firmware.
It was Marshmallow 6.0.1... I found my mistake
We can't downgrade using the SD card method and I was trying to install 5.0
Now I need to find the stock version for the KIW-UL00 6.0.1
you can downgrade with the help of hisuite by huawei.
if your stock system was above B422, you can use this patch to stop the bootloop,
just flash the file in twrp after you flash the rom. https://mega.nz/#!tK51gDRL!S9oYLBTeFDbN0hOCzt5jQ5DYECObFC08YMr-Kml6scc
Problem is that I dont have any ROM or custom recovery running on my phone. I can only acess the bootloader, the eRecovery (that for some magical reasons, doesn't work for me) and the SD card installer, that also doesnt work because the only thing I can find is a UPDATE.APP that is on 5.0, when my phone was on 6.0.1, which doesn't work.
HiSuite doesn't even connect and I don't know what VolTE is, can you explain?
Can someone can help me in finding the Stock ROM for KIW-UL00 (the chinese version of Honor 5x) on android 6.0.1. I can find those for every country except china...
EDIT, I was able to get back on TWRP, so I can add files in my phone
haubudam, i freaking love you dude, you saved me
Thank you SOOOOOOO much

It was necessary to update the stock firmware to the latest version and then flash custom.
