Rooting OF Samsung S5.. - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 5

Hi, everyone... i am new here and its my first post...
After hearing all about rooting i wanted to know how to root my S5 T mobile(Sm g900t)..
And i also wanted to know thaf what is tripping of knox.?
And what are the advantages of rooting can i be able to use xposed framwork to personalize my phone looks and settings?
Or the Xposed module doesn't work with S5.
I wanted to know how can i free some RAM its always above 1.2GB used...does deleting bloatware helps freeing it.
The thread is too long but i am quit desperate..
so all reply and advices are welcomed..

[Q] Custom ROMs, anything to do with root, what should i do?

Hey guys, this is my first post, so correct me if im in the wrong place!
So i've had my Samsung galaxy SII (GT-I9100) for about 3 months now, and i only found out about root probably 1 week ago! haha
So i have rooted my Galaxy with CF-Root, off xwkk2 kernal (link below), on Gingerbread 2.3.6 and i was wondering what i should do with it? I have tried a few custom roms, none of which seem to want to stay working, so do you guys have any good ones i should check out?
Also, i was wondering if anyone can point me towards a list of all root apps, as i am interested in more than just Titanium Backup (AMAZING) and the like.
Oh, and if you guys could tell me both how to "Thank" someone on the forums, and even how to install anything you have suggested, i will love you forever
Thanks a lot guys,
Tangent5
Ps Thank you everyone on this site who has helped me with boot problems, and special thanks to Chainfire!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399&highlight=running+different+kernel
A google of "android root apps" gives numerous lists.
Without knowing which custom ROMs you've tried, why they didn't work for you and how you use your phone, it's very difficult to recommend you anything.
You rooted thanks to doing your research and reading here, the same method will help you with installation queries etc. Check the links in my sig.
This thread is a good one if you're wanting to freeze/remove 'bloat' from your phone (I recommend freezing rather than uninstalling outright) using Titanium.
thanks a lot guys! deleted loads of bloatware
Oh and i tried the resurrectionv1.0_remix, it was good, but it didnt come with CWM, so i have to unroot then re-root to get everything fixed, as all recovery i tried went mad
So is there any other roms? I've heard DARKYROM is good, but i cant seem to find the best place to dl, and i cant really be bothered if there are some you can recommend
thanks again, sorry but how do i thank you /give your post karma?
No. Many people don't do recommendations for roms/kernels (I don't anyways).
Because everyone's phone is setup differently, everyone uses their phone differently & phones come out of the factory slightly different component-wise. Chances are you wouldn't have the same experience of a rom or kernel than me for those reasons.
Given how easy it is to backup/restore with CWM, I recommend having a look at the threads devoted to different roms in the development forum, usually reading the first page & the last 10/20 will give you a fair guide to the features/pluses/minuses & other users experience with the rom/kernel.
Then try out as many roms as you need to until you find one you like.
Edit to add - Also, this thread is a great source of info for Aus SGS2 users.

Rooting opens the OS to a deeper level for the users .
Cracked apps posts are banned on XDA as many members are the developers you are stealing from .

Look under the sticky threads in Q&A and you should have posted there...
Rooting your phone means that you have full access and control to root of your phone..
You probably won't need it and probably if you are not aware of it can cause risk with no reasons. It's full of thread of bricked phone..
What I mean is that, Rooting process is easy, if you read post as suggested by other users in this thread, but if you are happy with your phone and do not feel any specific need to be solved with root do not do it.
One day you will find an app or a specific thing like "wow I love that modded Rom" which work only with rooting.. and so you will root your phone.
That's what happened to me 2 years ago and here in xda I found always all the answers to my issue!
Have fun with your android!

Rooting Samsung S111go allow easy UMS
Hi Guys
I understand the need to root, but have no idea where to begin.
Apparently i need to root my galaxy s3 in order to make use of the EASY UMS APP.
I cannot sync certain programmes that require mass storage.
This is now my 3rd post, but no one on XDA has replied. I am new to Android, having migrated from windows mobile.
I would really appreciate your feedback.

I had a similar problem.. Connected my Samsung S3 mobile to Samsung Kies installed on my Vista Laptop via the USB cable. On Kies Tools Menu, chose the Firmware upgrade and initialisation option.Took a backup of all data on the phone and proceeded with the upgrade process and it restored the phone back to its factory set options..problem resolved!

I wish I'd put it as he did. Having said that the stickys don't really get non programmers there (and maybe that's the idea). The above two links are not relevant to the sch I535. That was careless! NoobDroid is almost as bad with methods that don't work and Youtubes that frustrate.
I rooted a Droid no problem. The vzw are proving frustrating enough to make me change providers. I might go to SPRINT. I don't like vzw politics much anyway.

No option to "disable recovery flash"
I just got my brand new Galaxy S3 will Jelly bean and followed the instructions on this site.
Everything went fine and until Step 4
Using the custom recovery flash I installed the clockwork mod from my external SD card.
However the instructions say:
"•Upon exiting your custom recovery to reboot first time, you will be asked if you want to "Disable recovery flash", you MUST select Yes"
The problem is that when I exit to reboot I do not get the option to "Disable recovery flash", The phone just reboots.
I assume the phone recovery flashes when it reboots. How can I tell?
What are my options to continue?

Samsung Galaxy S4 Launcher Needed...!!!

Hello,
I bought a new S3 last week. I need Galaxy S4 Touchwiz launcher. I havent rooted my device yet. I dont like to root my device. I want a S4 launcher which can be installed normally without flashing. Can someone give me the link pls... !!!
Thanks
Even if running the s4 launcher was possible, there is no chance without root.
This is a developers forum so the assumption here is xda members would open to modifying / rooting their device. Its kind of a given really

[Question][Newbie][Root] Samsung S9 without KNOX

Hi,
Complete Android Newbie here, please apologise my beginner question.
I'm looking for a way to root the new Samsung Galaxy S9 running latest updates, without tripping KNOX.
I've seen rooting tutorials around but they never mentioned Knox specifically. Would like to understand the options first, before starting to mess things up.
Thanks for your input!
Cheers

unless we get lucky and get root-able engineering bootloader.
I doubt we will see other method that's not tripping KNOX.
Not without sacrifice. This is a chose you make. Knox or root. Having both defeats both.

NEWBIE - NOT TECH SAVVY any suggestions on removing Metro Bloatware from LG Aristo 2?

Hi all,
Thank you for taking time to read my post. I am new to this world of cellphonespeak. Maybe this is a simple question with an easy answer. I just obtained an LG Aristo 2. I am trying to know how to remove all of the bloatware that MetroPCS has installed with the phone> Im not with Metro, I use an independent network, but I don't need the unnecessary apps on the phone. I have read through various suggestions but they have not worked up to now. Its running on an Android 7.1.2, if that is helpful. Also if I am posting in the wrong forum, please forgive my ignorance.
I appreciate any advice or suggestions.
Deepest Gratitude,

Root your phone with Magisk, then install Titanium Backup.
You can uninstall bloatware using Titanium Backup.
