Hi there Folks....
My SGS3 Pebble Blue suddenly went dead. I leave my phone overnight with 17% battery charge, I dont remember well if the wifi was on, but in the morning it was completely dead, no button respond at all. Thinking that the battery has been emptied, i plug in the charger, but the phone doesnt respond, not even the LED nor the battery display that is charging. So, I leave it on the charger for a couple of hours, like 3 or 4 hours but still its dead.
My SGS3 is running at Omega ROM v34, everything is working fine before the incident, no lags, no system crashes. It is made in vietnam and I got it from a local network provider in Phillippines.
What can i possibly do to revive my SGS3? I could not send it to Samsung for warranty because, first it is running in custom firmware, next is warranty is completely void because i have already replaced my LCD Screen last month. I dropped my phone and the Screen was damaged so I ordered a screen replacement and I myself replaced the damaged screen.
Please help, I have no idea what happened....
Sounds like the S3 "Sudden Death" issue that was in the media some days ago (so the chance is high that it is a physical defect and you can't do much against it...).
Try a google "Galaxy S3 Sudden Death" search and you should get tons of informations about the issue. As far as i know Samsung Support repairs/replaces damaged devices without trouble.
Looks like they replace the mainboard on those damaged devices. Some people are saying that it might be some sort of planned obsolescence that kicks in to early.
That would also explain why Samsung is not talking about those issues at all and repairing/replacing damaged devices without further asking.

Read the Sudden Death Thread first .

Also post this in the s3 philippines thread. I been monitoring when this thing will start manifesting on our shores. You're the first one from philippines that reported this problem here or that I have read.

I highly suggest you just send it back to Globe/Smart and get a replacement xD

Unfortunately my S3 died on me as well on the eve of new year!
I'm waiting for the holidays to be over so I can send it to the Samsung service center.
Hopefully, they will cover the repairs with the warranty and they will not notice that my phone is rooted and running on custom software..

Does it mean that my mobo died even if I can still boot in download mode?
Thank you!

Yes... To double check... Go to download mode and see whether brand name ''i9300''is there... If no, pit partition messed up... Confirm motherboard dead..

Have sent in the unit yesterday to the service center. They have checked the download mode and asked me if I did some rooting and I said no.
From the download mode they cannot see the product name but there is no custom binary download numbers too so they said it is covered by warranty and just this morning, I called them up to follow up and they said they already ordered a new motherboard. I asked again if there are no problems with regards to the warranty and they have confirmed that it is indeed covered. Hopefully, in a week I'll get the repaired unit

So have you gotten your phone back yet? Which service center did you bring your unit to?
Phone has started to act weird , after connecting to charge . I am using the official One plus charger, which came with the box .Is anybody else facing same problem ? .
I am on Custom ROM. Is it because of that ?

Yes it's mostly because of the custom rom.

I don't think it's because of rom. It's mostly grounding issue. Try on different wall points. I have random touch issue on two of my wall ports. Other places it works fine.
Hello,
Since 2 days I have a very low in-call sound in my earpiece. It sounds like a damaged speaker. I'm on latest stock sw. Did anyone experienced the same problem?
Thank you.
Visit service centre.
Any other solution?
The service center will let me 2 weeks without the phone.

If the problem is in hardware then it can't be solved without replacing the hardware part.

I have the same issue. About to RMA my phone, hopefully it will be back in a week...
It's a real shame that only after 3 months of use I have to send it to repair. Never again OnePlus.

I'd say maybe it's just faulty and the only feasible solution would be to RMA it sadly..

Faced the same problem few months back. The screen is faulty, replace it if under warranty
So about four months ago I bought an LG V10 from an online vendor (same vendor I got my LG G2 which has never given me issues) So that being said I can't completely rule out it was just faulty from the vendor or just the problems that already exist with the model. So after about 3 or 4 weeks of having the phone I had no problems and then one day I was using it and it turned off and just wouldn't turn back on. I tried using a new battery and it won't turn on and it obviously won't connect to the computer. I don't have a warranty since it was bought from a vendor outside of the UK. So basically is it worth taking it to a repair shop or should I just get another (different) device? I would like to keep the device mostly because I was on holiday when I had the phone and all the photos were saved on the internal memory and I'd really like to get them off and not lose them.
