I just purchased a S7 on kijiji and when i check the imei on the internet, it says the model is SM-G930W8 but on the box and in the phone settings it says model SM-G930P.
Which one to believe ?

if the model number matches those listed here on xda, i think you can. to check your phone model number, go to settings>general>about device and u will see it. mine is SM-N900P
Bought this samsung galaxy s3 on ebay. It was listed as model sgh-t999. but after i received it I noticed the model number is sgh-m909. Icant find this model number anywhere. I dont know how to root it. It has been modified before and I keep getting the nfortunately, com.sec.androidapp.FlashBarService has stopped...every time i recieve a call. I would like to root this phone and start anew but cantfind any info on this particular model. Any ideas??? Thanks
Im in Canada. If i purchase a used phone with a bad IMIE and old firmware from the States (sprint) once on my carrier in Canada (bell) will the firmware get updated. I have checked the IMIE with my Bell they said its ok.

Hello, I recently bought this phone, when I check it from settings menu, it shows D855 as model number. Also back on the phone its printed D855 several places. But when I enter the imei on several sites it shows up as sprint carrier model LS990. My imei ends with 855, so I dont know for sure if it represents model number. So how can I confirm which exact model it is because I dont want to install the wrong firmware on it. Thanks
I have the sameissue , it says D852 in the about phone, d852 in adb, but ls990 on imei.info .
Because of the risk of bricking my devices I'm still on stock KitKat (rooted)

I bought used phone note 3 4G .
I just checked model number 9005 from device info and network type LTE from network ..
Now I want to upgrade my ROM but I am confused because I saw in pre-installed app " Idoneapp " different information the model is 9005 but hardware.dvice and bootloader are 900p.
I am already download ROM for 9005 but I fear that my phone dead if it wrong rom. .
So please tell me what is my real phone model ?
My gut tells me follow your bootloader.
