How to get full battery stats? - LG G5 Questions & Answers

Is it possible to see signal strength, gps use and awake bars in battery statistics? What would be the best alternative? (I'm rooted)

Did you try betterbatterystats? Download it from XDA.

Yes, this phone has horrific battery drain. I recommend you take it out to the nearest field, strap it to a rocket, and shoot it into the stars as soon as possible.
Or, you can consider using the search button or follow the MANY links the nice gentleman posted above for you.

Lol maybe the battery will drain less in an area with very little gravity.
On a more serious note does anyone know of a list with apps that are safe
To freeze or even remove? I've been looking through the above posts for about an hour and can't find
Squat.
Edit : holy crap I need to open my eyes, its stickied at the top of the general section.

Yea I saw. See my edit. Feel silly now lol.
Just do a factory reset fixed all my problems and my phone came with KE7 installed I didn't upgrade to it.
Battery life went from 10 hours to a day and a half
after lot of tests, i discover that was the calendar sync. In idle mode my phone drain 5-7% per hours without 1% per hour.
After I uninstalled all the useless battery draining system apps, my system doesn't use alot.. like 2-5% , but my screen is getting 50-60% everytime!
I allready tryd different settings, but still, it attacks.
Do someone here have a friend with a SGS2 with good battery life !?
Try to change the battery for 1-2 days and see if its better or not, so we can know if its the battery thats need to be changed!!! report pls !

I doubt EVERYBODY that posts in these forums have a faulty battery. It MUST be software related. So many "faulty batteries" would be a great cause for concern.
from my understanding its 50% user and 50% the version of gingerbread were running.
Im coming from an atrix which has great battery life. A little bit of optimization which the great devs are doing is definitely helping.

please post screengrabs of your battery usage

please post screengrabs of your battery usage... i'm just really wondering what times you people are getting and what is the main battery drainer on different phone...i know it's probably pointless anyway...but still
i will post another one after normal usage during the day...
im running villain rom 1.4...
thanks to all those who'll (<-??) upload a screenie!

yeah i saw that thread...i just wanted to see how other people batteries are drained...just to have an idea if my battery usage is more or less normal...
Mine's getting very good these days. Admittedly, I've hardly touched it today cos I've been very busy, but still..... 11% in nearly 7.5 hours is pretty impressive! That's with full background synching and wifi on all day.
Fully stock (KE2) and rooted. Other than that all I've done is disable fast dormancy, the wifi sharing app and frozen every app with "sams" in the title.

[Q] Battery Draining in SGS2

When i was using 2G the battery life was good for a whole day. How i have switched my connection to 3G, the main problem is the battery life as it drains in a half day. How can i control this ? which application is draining my battery life? what are the other systems that can save the battery life and extend it to a day time when using 3G????

Its MOST URGENT
Desperately looking for a solution ....
Help me if u can really do it
learn to manage your phone better, is it rooted? either way try this, Unless you actually use 3G (I assume most of us use wifi) go to..
Settings > Wireless and network > Mobile networks and switch network mode to "GSM only"
Not only will you get better battery life, but you'll get a stronger signal too.
hope this helps your problem.

I am using galaxy s II. its the best android phone i have ever used so far but the problem is the battery draining. i can only use it 7-8 hours with normal use. please tell me some solution to increase the battery life..
Next question : how to decrease battery life ?
Seriously dude, there's so much threads about battery saver tips, do you know that ?
Try for example "setcpu" or lower brightness or use searchbar to look for more examples. It's not difficult to find solutions ;-)

Battery Drain Solving

Ok people I could use some help. I think I am getting some average battery times but the score card would definitely say 'could do better'.
So what I want to know is what screen shots from BetterBatteryStats/Phone/other would I need to upload here to help someone with far more technical nous than me identify what is causing the drains and how to stop them?
To start here is my battery screen shot for today. This is with approx. 3.20hours of screen on time.
The screen is a real battery-hog due to it's size. You may want to lower brightness, that helps a lot.
For starters, please attach Kernel Wakelocks and Partial wakelocks from BetterBatteryStats, that shall show if something drains your precious juice.

OK here we go....I guessed from looking around the forums this is the best way to deliver the information? If not let me know and I'll change it.
Analyse away
Not sure whether this is relevant but I have Tasker turning WiFi on and off in two locations.
Alright, let's see: Your phone's screen was on for an hour, but the phone was awake for two. That means we found a wakelock. Unfortunately I have no idea what "deleted_wake_locks" stands for. Maybe someone else knows more about this. Besides that wake lock, you seem to spend quite some time in an area with bad or no signal at all. That will drain your battery pretty quickly too as the phone is constantly searching for a better signal. You might want to turn of phone data in that area to prevent to phone from trying to get a better signal all the time. Finally, you should consider getting rid of the Facebook app. I've read that it isn't exactly gentle when it comes to saving battery.
Rationale: In the API available to android drivers it is advised to call wake_lock_destroy before freeing the memory of the wakelock struct that you created. This is probably done on shutdown OR perhaps if for some reason a driver is unloaded from the kernel. Whenever it does this it ads the wakelock stats to the deleted_wake_locks.
Know actions: AlarmManager itself is not generating partial wakelocks but the applications (intents) that were set to be called when an alarm goes off do. Alarms can be listed through the menu "Actions -Alarms".
Known conditions of occurence: In relation to Wifi and depending on the sleep policy wakelocks seem to be collected when screen goes off and Wifi is turned off

That doesn't help battery life, that just fixes an error in battery stats reporting.
That cell standby problem was NOT draining excess battery it was just being reported incorrectly by the android battery stats.

easy. use speedmod kernel
i am use ninphetamin3 1.20 with criskeloron v5.1 and my battery life is good
Surely it's not just the kernel though? I'm using Siyah as I thought that was supposed to be good? Will changing it help? Surely it's not that causing the wakelocks?
Any other suggestions or comments on the stats I posted ?

Mmmmm maybe you sometimes find that responses get lost in those things.
Anyone else able to help here?
Your battery goes down steep all the time, but according to your screenshot of the battery stats there are 2 critical points, the latter not ending.
Please next time also include a screenshot of the menu appearing after tapping on the graph (which includes screen-on, wifi and signal quality)
According to BBS some of the issues are related to:
No or Unknown Signal (): 1 h 26 m 54 s (5214 s) Ratio: 20.5%
Poor Signal (): 1 h 4 m 45 s (3885 s) Ratio: 15.3%
Click to collapse
No or poor signal causes heavy battery drain since it keeps searching for the network until the connection is re-established.
Are you on 3G connection? If so, Facebook is a known battery drain.
Try using 2G whenever you're not needing the speed and see if that improves your battery life. (Only to test for now)
Alternatively disable Sync (all of Sync, not only Google or Facebook) and check if that improves the life.
You are on an old ROM version, try upgrading to a BLFB-based firmware or a CM9/AOSP based one. Both have great battery life improvements over the old ALEx Roms.
