Same here, probably isn't possible with auto update method. :crying:
Any walkaround?
You can save the data.img and the installer. The data.img have all your stuff on it and saved.
I don't know you can upgrade the data.img to 3.0. I wouldn't try to do it.

lol, dual boot with Windows 7? on an ARM processor? I don't think so, not to mention limited RAM (512Mb)... Windows 8 may be possible but not in the near future, and even if it could, I think it will slow like hell on our Toshiba tablet
I no they managed it on the nook check this thread out
and then there is this one witch alows you to dual-boot with linux on our folio from a memory card
some one might be able to do something with these or give them some ideas on how to achieve this for us
Yes, ofcourse you can dual boot different version of Android or Android + Linux (Ubuntu), but not with Windows 7.... What he referred to was Windows 7....
i know windows had no hope and i wouldn't want it, i would like to duel-boot folionotion and foliocombe

How dual boot different version of Android??
I recently got the Geeksphome Keon Firefox OS developer preview phone. Although it is a good phone I'm sure it would be better if it could run android and Firefox OS is still in beta. Is there anyone who knows how to accomplish this? This is what I've worked out so far:
*firefox OS is based on the same kernel as android
*it uses ADB and android fastboot, so they are definitely similar
*thriugh eclipse sdk, one can install an app on ff os but it can't run.
So they definitely aren't too different. Also if you download a build for the Keon it uses the same kind if structure as an android ROM. And there's a .android secure folder in the SD card. So I don't think it should be too hard if anyone knows how to port/can port for me, that'd be great!
i had the same question seems that some spanish guys did that. They dual booted a Geeksphone Keon with Firefox OS and Android 4.0.4.

Don't do this, guys. That is a leaked escrow build which is not finalized. If you install it, you will not be able to update to the final release without re-installing.
The USB fix for Xperia phones has already been released as part of KB2917929, which should be available from Windows Update for 8.1 users. Everything is explained in this blog entry.

Easy! Install Link2SD, launch it and freeze remix app cloud and remix central. Then reboot.
I strip those out and it still popping up. Must be another apk somewhere that allow it to load.
Nevermind: It still download the apps.

Try blocking it in host file. I've decompiled AppDrawer.apk and stripped every hint of aura I could find. It regenerates.....
it is possible to do even without modifing /system. involves disabling a few apps, installing some apps, firewall some apps, a few terminal commands, and a xposed module.
also FYI if you have ipv6 enable on an android firewall app...you firewall is probably disabled.
hi guys good night
i am looking for a clean copy of remix os for pc. the last version was the only stable version that worked well with me .
i've tried the hacked version and it would crashed constantly and the start menu would never open . also , i did try the pheonix os and that also crashed alot .
can anyone assist me ?
Try this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/remix/remix-os/v3-0-203-remix-os-pc-project-rsc-t3459790
I recommend using the 32bit version, it has better compatibility.
