This has been just posted on the ZTE german facebook page
https://www.facebook.com/ZTE.Mobile...653955563783/1533003793395455/?type=3&theater
so it seems that for us A2017G users its confirmed it will come pretty soon, dont know for A2017U users though.
I'm pretty sure that Android N for us US users is coming either late November or early December as in the last update post (for B29) the community mod said that the update comes just under 1 and a half months after the previous and that they are "in parallel paths to release Android N" which I interpret as in the same time frame as this update

This has been discussed over and over again. But still I doubt it. Here are my reasons to believe there might not be a MM for Alpha, (yeah I learned to be un-optimistic. LOL.)
1. A few number of Alpha was sold (Respective to other models on that list), so obviously Samsung might not be interested in small market.
2. Look at those models, at some point most of them received 5.1+ updates, Alpha is stuck at 5.0.2
3. Notice that G900F had MM approved ETA a month later than G850F as per 'leaked' sources, yet, G900F had MM way earlier, but Alpha doesn't.
4. The phones that have received MM, surprisingly in gsmarena, it's noted that "upgradable to 6.0.1", even Galaxy A5 (Released 2014, December) has "planned upgrade to 7 nougat" written. (Link: http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_a5-6761.php)
Somehow, they have been right all along. In Alpha's page? it's 5.0.2
5. this website, which, as far as i remember, first broke the news about potential marshmallow update of galaxy alpha, has updated the article. And there is no mention of Galaxy Alpha this time
6. From this website "There's still no word from Samsung on whether the Galaxy S4 and the Samsung Galaxy Alpha will get the update."
Against all those odds, if Marshmallow hits Alpha, I guess we will be happy to at least have an official MM. At this point, logical reasoning is against hope. But, let's hope anyway.
Right now Samsung is dealing with way bigger things than the marshmallow update for the Galaxy Alpha and it's no surprise it hasn't been released yet, yes they are late.. too late but I'm 99.99% sure sooner or later they will realease a 6.0.1 firmware for our device. Just be patient.
Yes, I believe that the update will come Feb. 24, 2025. It is not so long, You have to be patient
I see no reason to be optimistic here

Many of you are probably annoyed because OnePlus takes very long to release the nougat update. They took very long for the marshmallow update and they promised updates for 2 years from the release of the OnePlus Two. Nougat came out before the ending of this cycle. So a OnePlus Forums user (not me) started a petitionlike thunderclap campaign to show OnePlus and the world that this matter concerns many people. If you support this campaign that would be good for the future of our device and also for OnePlus' update behavior on future and current devices.

I still doubt they'll do anything about 2 and X

I think the pressure could make them. Some well known android sites already wrote articles about this. And they actually said there will be nougat, but they refuse to publish the release date since a very very long time.

Anyone heard any rumors as to when our T-Mobile Note8's will be getting the Oreo update? I've looked online and have yet to find any predictions.
I hear the oreo beta program will start next month for the s8 which I'm a little upset about. I feel that the now the note 8 is the flagship device, Oreo beta should be on the note 8. The official release will probably be late January/early February if we're lucky
I don't care when it comes! I'm enjoying this phone as is.
I'd rather wait and have most bugs fixed, than rush the update and have some important functions not work any more and then wait on another update to fix the first one. Anything in particular In Oreo. that you're waiting for, or is it just newer must be better. Is it safe to assume they will patch current root exploit, because that maybe a reason for some to actually not update at all.

It's only for the 2017U for now though. Can this be used to benefit the 2017G?
Finally. Hopefully developers can actually fix the battery life problem by looking at the direct source code of the kernel. Unfortunately now that it is open source this means the Axon 7 is going to lose support very soon in the upcoming months
edit: i've uploaded the kernel source to github here: https://github.com/pimpinpsp/Axon7OreoKernel-A2017U

The Linux kernel source must be published, as far is open source, it doesn't mean that ZTE will stop develppment and support.

That's right, my mistake. But the device is at the end of its life and so it is good timing to publish it now
We won't see Pie for Axon 7, probably not even 8.1 officially. Maybe a security update or two if we're lucky.
Look forward to Oreo for G to be released and then sources so devs may make a bugless ROM that will get updates and maybe extend to Pie.
I am a bit puzzled by ZTE's choice to delay the G Oreo release. I wonder if they plan to do any additional modifications compared to the USA build.

I talked to the german Facebook group from zte last week thursday.
(Attached a screenshot)
Here is all the info in a nutshell (in order of the fb messages):
-Update will start to roll out this week via ota (meaning this very week that started yesterday)
-A little confused (since us version had to install via sdcard) i asked to make sure if its really being rolled out via ota.
Yes, it will be rolled out via ota. Of course not everyone will get the update at the same time. It could stretch out to 2 weeks until everyone gets it. The European version will will be different from the US version
And as for why its still not out for us yet, they said it takes longer because they gotta make sure all european languages are supported.
Last thing i asked about (since they said different version than the US one) was if we get stock+ ui as well or if its mifavor.
Their response: "current info: stock+ ui"
PS: sorry about the late post. I originally planned to post about this on the weekend but forgot about it.

What is now up-to-date with Oreo for the axon 7, (A2017G)?
Hi Christopher, we are dying with the update that will be started next week, to be played out ZTE via OTA. Love, your ZTE team
' about OTA? the U.S. has model Yes already oreo ^
get with the new floor + UL.
There, however, the user must install the update via sdcard.
will this then not the same at the A2017G
Text Box: LJ
case be?
No, the updates recovery air (OTA) on the phones are pushed in Europe. This happens in several waves, so not every user receives the update at the same time. It extends more than two weeks. Who when it is left to chance... The version in Europe will be an other than in the United States, where it has decided earlier to go to the user. We need to support more languages in Europe, can take ZTE Here are some more
' OK. One last question I would still. Is that ^ Europe version also the stock + UL l!get? Or we stay on MiFavor? ,

ZTE Hello, current info: Stock + UI
SAT, 01:24
OK, thanks for the quick replies jP

Die Version in Europa wird auch eine andere sein, als in den USA, wo man sich entschieden hat, früher an die User zu gehen.
Any news if V60 will get Android 13 soon?
We're lucky that we even got Android 12, and even then it was a half assed upgrade tbh
It's very unlikely that we will see any OS updates anymore.
Didn't they promise 3 updates though? I remember it was on the list to get updates
I actually just got an update an hour ago (Still Android 12). Came here because the FW page on LG's site lists the previous as the latest.
They list V600AM20h, I just got V600AM30d (OTA)
I don't see any difference on my device. Would like to know what the heck I just got here (hopefully patches).
EDIT: By LG's site, I mean ATT's site.
EDIT2: well that link actually says latest is Android 11 so it's just out of date. My reading comprehension seems to have been really off yesterday. But yeah, still receiving updates of one sort or another...
I would say go with GSI. That will likely give you ~5years more use. I have tied some A12 GSI ROMs. Think Pixel Experience was best as it had root,SafetyNet and all bands working proper. PHH or phusson is guy. Just search...
