Favour to ask of Max 2 Owners - LeEco Le Max 2 Questions & Answers

Hi All,
Could somebody who already has the phone install this app or similar and post the accelerometer page?

My Max2 is still in transit to me but I'd like to get started on a project I'm working on which requires some knowledge of its typical operating values.

Thanks Nikos. It's a pretty good chip, good news

Actually whole hardware is masterpiece, no bargains in any subsystem.

[Q] Hannspree, Hannspad SN10T recovery and rom

Hi guys, a friend has got this tablet. Is there a guide for this to install recovery(cwm) and honeycomb?
I had a look but there so many models on this section but i need the hannspad sn10t13r1653.
Cheers
Normally you just need to boot in APX mode (Volume down + power for 2 second while powering it on) and download the package indicated in the post indicated at the bottom of this post.
Verify the number of partitions by doing:
./nvflash --bl bootloader.bin --getpartitiontable table.txt
Find in the table.txt file the partition number of SOS partition
For example if partition SOS is 11:
./nvflash -r --download 11 part9.img
For example if partition SOS is 9:
./nvflash -r --download 9 part9.img
if you screwed up your hannspad, just follow this thread (same zip file):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15884321&postcount=10
Got this budget tab as I am waiting on quad core cpu tabs and yes there is some guides on how to install honeycomb. Go to wwwdotslatedroiddotcom. I wish we would have a sub forum for the hannspad. Guess hannspree is pissing off the devs as they are refusing to release the kernel. Is it possible to extract the kernel somehow?

hi folks, i'm hoping someone can help.
i'm very interested in getting this tablet but i wanted a few honest views off users.
i'm not worried about Froyo, tbh there isn't a real difference to ginger, but the twin core build intrerests me more thatn the single core tables that are comming out.
have hannspree removed the phone apk's (etc) to improve power and memory management?
i don't play many games so i'm not worries about split second responsiveness but i've heard it can sometimes lag a bit, honestly how does the stock rom perform?
i wondered if anyone had tried go launcher or launcher plus and how the responsiveness compared to stock? screen responsiveness, typing etc?
also i'd be using this for video on the go, i don't watch HD but normal avi/divx, do they play ok?
i'd be very grateful if anyone would be willing to record a short video if the tablet in use so i could get an idea, the marketing vids are always a bit false
i'm been out of cooking for others about a year due to family matters (but still been home building for my HD2) while there are some mods over on slatedroid, theres nothing on XDA. if i get the tab i'll probably start playing with the rom and post a few slimmed down recovery versions. to see what we can start
regards and thanks in advance

Hello, is there any ETA on when the Hannspad kernel source will be released?
There was a rumour suggesting you wouldn't release it. But I'm sure that's just a rumour because under the GPL which the open source Android platform is released under there must be a kernel release for legal reasons.
Look forward to your reply

- battery is one of the best among the tablets
i don't play many games so i'm not worries about split second responsiveness but i've heard it can sometimes lag a bit, honestly how does the stock rom perform?
- stock rom is crap, replace it with either one of the honeycomb(those are not finished yet), or Hannstitan from Slatedroid.
i wondered if anyone had tried go launcher or launcher plus and how the responsiveness compared to stock? screen responsiveness, typing etc?
- Responsiveness is fine, no problems with typing, although Zeam launcher looks better on the tab.
also i'd be using this for video on the go, i don't watch HD but normal avi/divx, do they play ok?
- Plays without problem, also HD, just make sure you use hardware accelerated player.
I would say this is the best tablet in budget price! Almost the same as the transformer, and that costs £350!

Thanks for clearing some questions guys, i might considering buying one then.
But i've got one question, this tablet doesn't come with any webcam, right?
Is it really needed or not?
Hi,
A friend of mine has bought one of the Hannspree tablets but can't get the Bluetooth GPS APK to install on it.
He wants to connect the tablet to an external bluetooth GPS and I suggested a bluetooth GPS app that I'd used on a Samsung galaxy 1 because the built in GPS was crap.
Running the APK gives a dialog saying the install was not succesful.
Any ideas would be gratefully received.
Cheers.
i dont think this tab has a GPS unit, though maybe wifi GPS would be the way to go.

Can you recommend a hardware accelerated player? I have tried 5 or 6 from the market, some that claim hardware acceleration but none of them have been capable of playing 720p smoothly.
I thought it claimed to could do 1080p H.264?

They didn't specify any sort of bitrate it could play unfortunately. Overclocking apparently makes it play fine enough but the screen isn't really high enough res or good enough period to play them on it imo

Great I am going to feel like a Troll with this reply but here goes.
Greedy children. It's not even out of testing and people already want to play with a half finished OS. I mean really come on. Obviously you would know that this version that was released is for developers, to develop applications and find the bugs. If you knew this you wouldn't have asked such a dumb question.
PLUS, you really think somebody already created a ROM in less then like 2 days for an OS with almost no drivers?
Please re-watch the keynote and then think and then start talking rather then see 30 seconds of it and then ask dumb questions that were already answered in the keynote.

This is true, however. Microsoft does promise us to make ARM builds too, I don't know if the Galaxy Tab will be able to run it smoothly, but my guess is it will. Let's just hope the devs can realise full support for everything (camera, bluetooth, wifi etc..)
My main concern is it's memory. Our tablet sadly only has 768MB of RAM, and it seems that the x86 needs 1GB at least. Most hardware we saw has 2GB, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. The answer is no for now.

Anyway, it seems Win8 will run on a lot less than 1GB.
Obviously that's not the ARM-compatible version but it's cause for hope IMO.

Because the "missing" memory is where the OS resides. The 724MB is the available memory. Works the same way with every OS.

Well that sure seems interesing. I thought it only had 768, it's not that bad then actually.
And the 128MB also seems very interesting, wish it would just run with that little resources on my Desktop!

sgs3 already running latest firmware as per youtube posting. similar issue observe on more than 1 sgs3 even though it is had been reset to factory default.. it is clearly a lag of ram capacity which cannot be resolve with taskmanager of any kind, therefore, do not post any suggestion to use any task manager from google play store as it will never help.
this post are not intended to seek help or suggestion but merely to share a prominent issue who impact power user. there are many other scenario in other thread that are also a valid example that RAM size clearly matters. Quote from other thread has confirm that 2GB RAM Korea unit doesn't exhibit any of the RAM issue related to 1GB model.
Don't recommend any custom rom unless you are able to simulate the issue consistently and solve by using a custom rom and post a valid video that demonstrate the issue are resolve by custom rom.

This is the Q&A forum. You're just posting a complaint, and it's a complaint that we already have several different threads on. It's not the phone, it's the ROM.
Playing video games coded in (one of) the worst programming languages for mobile phones and being astonished that it needs a lot of ROM?

Whoever says that RAM size does not matter is a retard. Bill Gates himself made the mistake of claiming that none would need more than 64KB of memory. However there is a difference between it being advantageous and it being a requirement.

Actually if you look at the video, he's using the browser to play games on a Flash-based website.
Actionscript is really not designed for mobile devices and needs huge amounts of power and RAM.

I think I was taken :(

I bought a Nextway Fast 9 X from spemall.com as shown here:
http://www.spemall.com/Nextway-F9X-...PS-Screen-2G-Ram-1-5GHz-4K-Video-Black_g.html
After fully charging the tablet I started using it and it froze. I then restarted it and its froze a total of 5 times. Its had errors with the launcher, when opening the apps tab all the images would look like the background but pixelated.
Here is a link to the pictures i took: http://s1232.beta.photobucket.com/user/xstingstreetx/library/Defective
Next, I was able to disable some things for the tablet to run properly without crashing. However, this thing score terrible on benchmarks and is VERY slow moving. The processor is actually 1.08Ghz not 1.5.
I was able to root it thanks to Bin4ry see here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460
Video by Bin4ry see here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=7EpkrCq1gfM
I was able to overclock on the stock kernel and such to 1.152 stable.
I was hoping someone could help to develop ROMs, Kernels, etc to make this thing work better.
Any and all ideas or feedback is appreciated.
Things that I didnt notice when I bought it is: I dont believe there is bluetooth or GPS
Also the GPS and blutooth either does not exist or possibly the software in the tablet just doesn't work with it.

if something sounds to good to be true. it probaly is..
sad to say the chances of someone making a ROM for non-brand products is pretty slim, since most ROM are created on the basis that a device is widely bought and used. Of non-brand phone and tablets there are such a variety that developing for them makes no sense.
Get your money back if you can, and get a branded device. For 200$ you can get a Nexus 7.
if you want the same size and format of the one you got, look around for what samsung, acer, asus, hell even what Point Of View have to offer..
Sorry, but you won't like it -
The main disadvantage of buying a no-brand device is although it may work better the known brands, in case of a fault (software or hardware), you're on your own.... Not many users have flashed/fixed/used this device. So if you brick it, get a bootloop or find a bug, not many can help you.
Not speaking about the variety of ROMs...
I've been there.... I've bought a no-brand phone and after a year it's main PCB failed. I couldn't find a replacement part and had to throw the device away.
Anyway.....
Use the device, enjoy and don't brick it

If the moderators will give me permission, I can give you a link to where there are 4 custom ROMs for this tablet. I have installed the BETA4 and it better utilizes the Retina Display (unless you have bad eyes, and there is one geared for that one as the defective one you are using does). I honestly don't know if your problem can be helped with software, but it might... I can also give you a link to the newest stock ROM and a Windows app to install it. I would rather get permission first to post 2 direct links... one is to Arctablet (and you can do a Google or DuckDuckGo search and find it by the way) and the other one is to a tablet distributor who was good enough to create download links and instructions on how to use the hokey Chinese installer. The question is though, is your problem hardware or a botched ROM?
It does not have Bluetooth or GPS. My Archos outdoes it in that way, but it is a true quad-core retina display and mine works very nicely... nicer now that I have the better use of the resolution available. Its wildly vivid. I honestly can find no real issues other than a few I had from not wiping the thing before I flashed it (oddly it suggested I not do so... which caused me grief w/Google Play eventually). It comes rooted, and if you have one of those that are like partly-rooted or whatever some call it, do a factory reset and it will come back fully rooted. The ROMs of course are all rooted. I have a cheap 10.2", which honestly if I had not had something else would have given me ulcers, but hey... I only paid $14 for it from Quibids (including bid prices), so I can't complain. This one cost me around $150 with a few extras, so a little grief I can handle. But so far... those are interesting words... so far, it is actually very impressive. My daughter has a boyfriend who is an Apple fanatic, and he's kind of fixated on it from certain similarities to what he is coveting these days.
I have it going at 1.2ghz (quad-core), although I have gotten it up to just under the 1.5ghz it claims (1440). It will do it, but I wouldn't bet on its stability. It comes at 1.0 preset from manufacturer, but is easily changed with the cpu app of your choice. I use Setcpu... works for me. It has 2gb ram... can't complain.
I read some arguments on the cameras, but I don't see it... I took some pics tonight of my daughter on her way to a costume party... they are the best thing I have this side of my Kodak. I'm sure it takes better video than the Kodak though. Anyway... its responsive, sharp, and does what I want. You have to buy a Bluetooth dongle for next to nothing to have Bluetooth though for some bizarre reason it shows its there. The one page that I mentioned gives advice along with pics on how to do some interesting mods to it. It is capable of more than they shipped it with. I am sorry that you are having troubles with yours... I don't know if you still have yours or not. I've only had this a few weeks. If you are interested, let me know... and if the moderators allow it, I will post links.
I hate that you have had such grief with yours. If I can help, I am willing.

Bluetooth stack is different in 4.2. A lot of bluetooth-reliant apps that worked in 4.1 didn't work with the new stack in 4.2. While a lot of these have been fixed I have a few that haven't. So far anything that takes input from a wii controller doesn't work any more and I just haven't looked for news.

I have a personal opinion with which many people here might disagree... Here it goes:
PHONES ARE NOT AND WERE NOT EVER MEANT FOR GAMING! GO GET A CONSOLE!
ARM CPUs are just TOO SLOW for gaming. They have an entirely different purpose!
It makes me plain sick when I see how slow JS performance on ARM is, and then "gamers" playing on mobile devices as if they were consoles.
That's my opinion.
EDIT: @arpit85: Sakura always contains Gapps.

Talking about the fact that I don't really care if some games do not work on Sakura.
I'm a die-hard gamer and I hate it when I see people playing games on mobile phones with almost burning passion.
E: Trust me, problem lies in CPU/GPU. This is the core of the problem.
ARM architecture was not designed for high-performance computing. Hell, devices with Cortex-A10 are choking on my 640x360 simple 2D lighting demo... And you're saying that the problem doesn't lie in CPU/GPU.
E2: To top it off you have massive linux kernel and DalvikVM under the hood. Now where is the RAW performance all gaming consoles provide? Where is the lack of overhead that all the consoles provide? The kernel itself and android processes are chewing up so many CPU cycles it literally hurts my butt.
Did you ever wonder why is the PSP kernel so tiny and provides so little functionality? It's for it to be portable, and leave plenty of room for games.
I would like to agree with you bagnz0r, but I simply cannot.
I have connected to my 40 inches TV, a cheap (40$) tiny RK3066 based stick which is emulating every console from ATARI 2600 to PSP with full power on FullHD. There are two bluetooth gamepads connected to this system and every time we want to play something ... we play hard.
On ARM CPU which is less powerful than any actual console.
Gaming not neccesary mean XBOX360 or PS3 (which I adore), but also killing some alien bastarts at "Space Inviders" (Atari 2600) or skating on THPS2 (PS1). I may be too old to understand this whole rush to processing power, but there are too many wonderfull games to be played.
I must agree although that A10 sucks (my refrigerator has more processing power than Allwiner A10).

I would like to agree with you bagnz0r, but I simply cannot.
I have connected to my 40 inches TV, a cheap (40$) tiny RK3066 based stick which is emulating all consoles from ATARI 65XE to PSP with full power on FullHD. There are two bluetooth gamepads connected to this system and every time we want to play something ... we play hard. On ARM which is less powerful than any actual console.

ARM cores are perfectly fine for emulation of old ***consoles***. The point is, dedicated games for the ARM core usually suck twat at every single angle.
There is a purpose for everything, and mobile phones were never intended for gaming.
I do have an ARM based box which I hook up to my TV in order to play games on pre-PSX consoles.
It's called RaspberryPi, and it doesn't have a 4" touch screen.
He stated already that its his own opinion anyway. Anyway, bagnz0r, does this support other kernel or u have a custom kernel intended for cm10.1 only? Sorry i need to ask coz im newb.

I am gamer since 1984, and i can measure my own line of PERFORMANCE i need to have nostalgia+beer experience today.
And while my winmo p750 couldn't emulate Amy 500 with full speed, A2 can do this with finger in its ass.
Now, there's fun: while winmo devices had at least few hardbuttons to manane its software, android bs have not.
You cannot generalize what machine can do - user have this right.
Btw, after getting this device i tested gta vc - while demanding, it ran perfectly well on max settings using 4y.o. card, and while i deleted this thing few minutes after test, i must say this again:
it ran perfectly well on judas77's JB.
I do care about emulation only, and i did not met anything that this device could run well so far.
This device REALLY can provide what most people need.
Pozdrawiam, przeczytaj post.

Przeczytałem.
Honestly told, even 233 MHz Celeron can handle emulating 68000 CPU very well.

Why would I care about CM10, again?
This is not CM10.
E: As for release, I'm just finishing to build the latest version to see if it'll run.
