I have green pixels on my screen on Redmi Note 3. They started appearing 3 days ago and the they are growing. Every day i see new ones. They are visible only on dark backgrounds. There are few blue and red pixels. Is there any way to fix this or at least stop they expanding without replacing display. I am afraid that they will expand more and more. Please help!
Sorry for my bad English.

Dead pixels, you should return your device for warranty.
I don't have warranty on this device. Green pixels are not big problem for me, but will they grow more? If they stay at this stage, it's Ok. WILL THEY EXPAND MORE?

One more question. What will happen if I don't change display. Will it with time become unusable, or will it stay with this number of dead pixels? Please answer, I am desperate trying to find answer.

You can try a screen burner/fixer over night.

I thought I was in the clear with prime issues as I had none for over 3 months but I just noticed today I have 1 dead pixel (( its only noticble in whiteish backgrounds but its really annoying and I can't send it back cuz I've had it since the beginning of January. I can't even see it in non white backgrounds though. Is it even possible to fix this because it just happened today? Also by serial number starts with b not c so its one of the early models

There are a couple of apps in Google Play that might help. They play a pattern of shifting colors repeatedly over either the entire screen or a small area. This can sometimes help, although I think it's more common for stuck pixels (i.e., those stuck showing a single color) to be fixed compared to dead pixels.

I second this! Pixel Fixer on the market did the trick for a stuck pixel I had on mine.
Well the pixel only shows as the colour white. also pixel fixer didnt work
Are you sure it isn't LCD mura and not a dead pixel? Do a quick search for LCD mura and you'll see what I'm talking about. I have LCD mura, which is only visible on white backgrounds, and it appeared after a few months of ownership.

Well i dont think its lcd mura. Its a pixel upon whiteish backgrounds that shows up contrastingly to the white. Under other colours, its very hard to notice but it is still there

Man! I noticed the very same thing while on holiday last week. Couldn't believe it.
My Prime had 3 dead pixels out of the box. It's a C3 and other then the pixels the device functions flawlessly...I'll probably just wait and see if anything else goes wrong as I don't plan on unlocking the bootloader anytime soon.
Got mine right before the year end or around that time, one of the first models. Just noticed today that it has some stuck pixels, a few in a spot somehow. Trying some pixel fix apps, but it might be stuck. Damnit, need to RMA already? It's 3-4 months old...this is why I didn't want to unlock the bootloader yet. Asus quality, I've done nothing to the tablet to make this happen, yet if I had the unlocked bootloader they would have blamed me and probably not fix it since it has a void warranty. Even though it seems like a hardware defect. Stupid.

I also have a similar issue with mine, 3 bright pixels that only show against white backgrounds. I am waiting till they get these devices more stable before RMA, which everybody should be able to do even if you get it in January, since it is covered under the hardware warranty.
Just got back my 2nd Galaxy Note II. The first had this same issue of a black line appearing on the screen in certain colours, whether it be black or light greys. I figured it was a fluke and got it replaced as soon as I got it. Now I got my second one and it is in the same spot as the old one.
I am starting to wonder if this is a known issue or just a defective batch. I have been searching on here and other Note 2 owners from other carriers have noted they have had this issue, but nothing extra.
Just want to know if this is isolated or not, going to get my 3rd Note 2 and if this issue is still there I am about ready to jump to another model.

I haven't seen this reported anywhere, and I do not have the issue. Sounds like a bad batch. Good luck.

I have some on my phone as well. It only appears when I am in a very dark room looking at a black or very dark grey screen. My phone has 4 or 5 of them, each being about 1/2 an inch long and 1/8 inch wide (like spaghetti noodles). Weird thing is, under normal or even dim lighting you can't see it, and it does not affect any of the colors at the affected portion.
Best way to see if you have it is to open up your camera app, cover your camera lens and take a picture. Look at this noisy black photo in a pitch black room and you might be able to see spaghetti thick noodles of affected areas where the screen does not display the noise and appears black.
At this point I don't know whether I want to bring the phone in for warranty service as it does not affect usage under normal conditions. Although I could see it being annoying when watching a movie on a plane.
Is the line dead center? Are you guys using a screen protector? I think I might have the same problem but I have yet to remove the screen protector I installed when I got the phone. If you download screen filter from the play store and set it to 15% it shows up real easy late at night.

Every super amoled screen I've used has had this issue. Some were dots, some were splotches, others were partial lines or full lines. If I can't see it during normal use, it doesn't bother me.

Yes.
I ended up sending back the first 2 Galaxy Note devices that I was sent. The thirds has no lines nor does it have dots on the screen. Finally perfect
I use my note 2 everyday so at the moment it would be hard for me to do an rma unless I could cross ship it.
Had the m7 for a while and I had a known issue of having dead pixels. Have there been any wide spread issues with dead pixels with the m8?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Nope
I had a dead pixel on my first two units. The third is perfect. But no I wouldn't say it's widespread, I've not seen many complaints. The only way I could spot mine was in a dark room with the brightness blasted on a black screen.

I had one in my first unit. I sold it and bought a silver model and it's perfect.
The one dead pixel though was barely noticeable.

Dead pixels is a known issue on all LCD's, no madder who makes it. In fact most manufacturers have a dead pixel policy and its usually anything under 5 dead pixels is normal unless 3 or more are grouped. If under 5 dead pixels they wont even warranty the lcd. So it can happen on any device.
Not a single one here.

Hi,
My RN3P is just 2 weeks old. Yesterday found a bad pixel on the screen. It looks to be 2 pixels in a group. And it's visible on light background, and bad pixels has white light.
What kind of pixel issue is it? Hot/dead? Any change for warranty exchange?

Yes i had this issue one White dead/Stuck pixel, went to the service center and it took two weeks to replace the display here....
Same told here in my country. At least 2 weeks, without phone.
Unfortunately sold all the previous and backup phones..
There's one workaround: use only dark themes. Haha
(of course just joking, it's a bit annoying issue)

Yep. They'll, at free of cost! :good:
Hello. Sorry for your device. Could you post an image of the bad display part? Thanks.
You cant really see it in a picture but i can see the dots while using some apps its really annoying and on a dark image there are many of them
I also got a faulty phone with dead pixels all over the screen than i got a replacement from flipkart which also had a faulty display with a big white spot in the middle of the screen but than i got it replaced by service centre free of cost. But one thing i can tell is that many redmi note 4 phones have the same dead pixels problem as i have seen many people with faulty screen around me. Xiaomi is not having tight quality control.
Hmm.. Let me tell you my story and what I came up with after a small research.
So I had got my Note 4 (4/64GB Variant) in February this year. Right after a week or two, I noticed some stuck pixels. Initially they were just one or two, but then they started expanding and scattered all over the screen. I can't even tell you how ugly the screen had started to look, it had more than around 50 stuck pixels all over the screen.?? It broke my heart and I desperately wanted to get a replacement. I then started to notice some of friends' Note 4 and coincidentally, they all had some one or two stuck pixels. Then I came to a conclusion that the Redmi Note 4 has a serious quality control issue with almost 85% of defective phones. Now, just a week ago, after a lot of research, I went to an authorized service center. (Thanks to Xiaomi, we now have 500 centres in India). I noticed their reactions when I disclosed my issue to them, they were quite ok with the problem and told me to wait for 2 hours. Now, from their reactions, it was 100% confirmed that its a common issue in Note 4 and many people have got a replacement.
So, without any hassle, they replaced the screen, but took 2 hours extra, but it was ok considering the usual croud at Mi service centres we see.
The replaced screen works flawlessly and the next thing I noticed that its now a Tianma display.
So, wrapping up the whole story, I'd conclude as:
1. The Note 4 manufactured in the Indian factories use a defective NT335 display and has issues with 85% of their production.
2. The service centres always have the stock of only and only Tianma displays.
3. You can get the screen replaced quite easily as its a very very common issue with the Note 4. Just remember to carry a copy of your invoice to claim warranty.

i used a redmi note 4 with tianma display it had that text blur issue on scroll. I want the display model which came with the phone. The other redmi note 4 that is in my house has the same model display as mine and has been around for a while now and has no dead pixles while mine has had them since the beginning. I was really shocked after seeing this.In february when i got a chance to use a note 4 i noticed stuck /dead pixels on it so i thought its a issue with all but seeing newer phones with fine display is really shocking for me
