Hi Guys, I sold a phone to one of my customers and the phone was having some issues so I did a hard reset on it. Now it says verify your Google account email and password and the customer kept on trying the email and password and we can't get into the main menu of the phone. We tried the google on desktop and it works fine. Please help me

Don't know why. But I has been using several accounts on my phones and computers through wifi. I have rooted my streak and tried a lot of apps in market, but unintalled a lot too.
My xda app once worked well, but now it gets force closed every time I tried to post a new topic.
Any clue? Feeling very unsafe...

How did you come to the conclusion that your email was hacked? Sounds to me like you downloaded a bunch of things and maybe some of them didn't install/uninstall properly and now you're getting FC due to instability. Reset to factory defaults to see if it solves it.
I could not log to one of my email account several days ago. I used "forgot my password" and changed my pass. Today my major gmail account couldn't be logged in again. This kind of things haven't happened for years. It must be either my phone or my computer or my wifi is hacked.
Your phone, maybe? I had the same problem with my emails, XDA app and a few other forum apps. My passwords would not work on the phone but worked fine on the computer. I had to log out of the forums with my PC before I could log on with the phone.
I was trying to back up my sms of the other unrooted phone before I found my account was hacked. I managed to change my password again and then tried to install an app called "sms backup+". The
first comment of the app is now about email account being hacked after intalling it. I uninstalled this app on my streak immediately. But I couldn't believe this is the reason. It shouldn't have been so obvious, right?

Change Password
First change your Google account password from somewhere else
if you know your imei no call your carrier and inform them
You can try an app like Android Lost or Plan B. They can be installed after you lose your phone & will help you to try to recover it.

There is setting, you can restore your device to factory setting remotely. You need to activate thorough android device manager. It will help you to format your device remotely, may this help you.
Greetings. A friend bought 2 months ago a remi note 4. For an unknown reason he factory restored his mobile phone and now it is asking for google account that have previously connected with the phone... He knows nothing about his account. Tried with his name, tried with his mobile number for google account recovery but the person who created his account did not keep the credentials. Is there anything I can do? Because I don't want to send it to xiaomi and pay postage and the service fee. Thank you in advance.

What do you mean by "factory restored"?
Factory reset. Volume up + power. He wiped everything
If he wiped everything, then he will need to set up everything again. That should not involve being asked for the details of any previous account, because there should be no record of a previous account. However, if, on initial set up, he is asked whether he wants to set up the phone as a new phone, or whether he wants to restore a previous backup, then he should choose to set up as new.
I did that and asking for a Google account...

Well, then enter your google account details.
Read my first post... He don't know the account... I have the receipt the box and the phone. My only hope is Xiaomi authorized service?
I read the first post before answering at all. What is preventing him from entering his own account details? If that doesn't work, then he should reset the phone again, and start afresh.
He dont even know his email. He didnt know that he had an email lol. He just bought a phone. A friend created his account and he didn't keep the details. Stupid move I know. But this is the case.

Then create a new Google account for him, and he can login with the details of that account.
The phone needs a previous account that was used with this phone. New account is not working

Sorry, but I have never heard that before. Any phone can be set up to work with any Google account after a factory reset - unless we are not talking about Google accounts here. Maybe you should post screenshots or pictures of the login requests that you are seeing.

Hmmm ... seems to me that the phone was encrypted. You will have to format the data partition to remove the encryption. For this, you might need to install a custom Recovery, like TWRP.
Whether your job will be easy or not depends on what else the person who set up the phone did. If the bootloader is already unlocked and TWRP is already installed, then things will be relatively painless. Just reboot to TWRP, select "Wipe" -> "Format Data", and so on. If the bootloader is not unlocked or TWRP is not already installed, then you are in for an interesting time. You will need to read the threads about installing TWRP. Good luck!
Hello!
I'm a noob when it comes to the ins and outs of Miui as this is my first Xiaomi device, I've come from HTC and LG before
So, when I first got the phone I setup the Miui account, not putting my phone number in, got the phone all setup and started using it as normal. Now when I come to unlock the Bootloader I find the account needs a phone number associated with it and it's here I hit a brick wall.
When I try to edit my account to add a phone number I'm supposed to get a verification code to my registered email address which is a googlemail account. I've tried multiple times and I'm not getting this code, I've emailed Tech Support and they're slightly misunderstanding what I'm trying to achieve and not getting the fact there's no code for me to enter to edit the account and it's not in my junk/spam folder.
I've also tried the manual verification technique but that always comes back (as an SMS annoyingly!) that there's no associated device with the account.
I've just tried to setup another account using my work Exchange email address and no code but I'm pretty sure that'll be the work spam filter.
Has anyone else come across this and got any tips?
Thanks in advance for any help!
I'd try setting up a new gmail account and then set up a new Miui account using the new gmail account with the fone number this time.

Thanks. That's my next plan of action just so I can unlock the bootloader then go back to the original account.
I've had 2 more email dialogues with Xiaomi support and they just don't get it. :silly:
My son has a Samsung S7. Several months back his Gmail account was closed and we have no idea how or why. I had 2-step verification turned on to my own phone, so if any changes were to be made, I should have got a text message about it. I don't know how long it was from the time it was closed to the time he told me about it. I had tried doing an account recovery but Google refused. I tried writing into Google, but they gave me a canned response about how to do an account recovery and never bothered responding any more after I had said I had tried that already, and written in many times over asking what was going on. All of his game accounts were connected to that email address, including Steam and others, which caused a lot of problems. Now we are facing an even bigger one. As I mentioned, he has a Samsung S7. It was also connected to this closed Gmail account and now we have no access to any of the settings or anything else with it. I tried to do a factory reset to try to clear this, but when it started it asked for the account again. This account does not exist, and it seems like it was closed by Google themselves. How do I fix this?

try looking for S7 FRB bypass in
