How do I fix the "Reboot to recovery" button? - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Questions & Answers

Okay so I was about install this MIUI.eu 7.3.30 . So first I edl flash the gloval dev 7.3.2, and then flash the MIUI.EU ROM via TWRP with a clean install (I wipe everything before install the ROM). But, this one bug kinda bothering me, the "Reboot to recovery" button in the Updater app didnt work. It just does a regular reboot. Anyone can help me with this?

New firmwares have a bug...
You can only manually go to twrp

Perhaps it is not a bug, but a deliberate choice.

In my experience once you booted the rom and Manually boot TWRP with buttons at least once. Rebooting to TWRP from updater and advance reboot menus work as expected again.

[Help] Flashing PAC Rom

I don't understand what is it that I might be doing wrong, I root the tablet, have bootloader unlocked, and install Dualrecovery. From TWRP recovery I wipe Dalvik cache, Cache, System, and Data. Install PAC Rom Castor and GApps using TWRP, all seems to go well, no errors present themselves. Then I reflash "TabZ2-lockeddualrecovery2.8.21-RELEASE.flashable" to keep the recovery intact before I attempt to boot into system per their instructions after installing a custom ROM. I wiped Dalvik and Cache before I reboot and once it goes away from recovery nothing occurs just my tablet remaining in flash boot which is a good thing so I can start all over again since obviously something went wrong and just use flashtools to get back to an old stock firmware. I have a SGP512. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
Edit: Even tried it w/o wiping system and same results just doesn't boot.

Your device will never Boot if you flash pac with nuts recovery. It causes to much Problems with cm based roms. So to rescue your tab you need Boot into fastboot and write "fastboot erase recovery" then flash this kernel http://doomlord.xperia-files.com/do...2U3RrS2VybmVsX1dJRkktdjAzXzE3LjEuMS5BLjAuNDAy
Do not reboot to system. Power of the device and then Boot into recovery (when you see the Sony logo and the LED light turns pink/amber/orange keep tapping/pressing VOLUME UP key). Then you will See cwm recovery. There first do a factory reset and Format system. Format system is in mounts and storage options) now flash PAC Rom and gapps and reboot to system now the device should Boot correctly. After the first boot do all settings then go to developer options and you will find expand reboot menu or something Luke this. Tick it and than hold the power button for some second tap reboot than bootloader (before connect the device with your PC) than use fastboot to flash the New recovery. Use one of these http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...wrp-cwm-philz-recovery-collection-z2-t3052676
For instructions to flash recovery look in the thread there are a step "Installation" if you need more help write me

Thanks! I used Flashtools to flash over the recovery via fastboot and accessed the recovery to do the rest. I had no idea CM based ROMS don't work well that recovery or any other I haven't tried yet. Any suggestion on what recovery to use? So far CWM got me this far not sure if I should try others. Philz Touch seems to be more appealing and the same as CWM.

TWRP crashing when trying to install anything

Hello,
I had already a custom ROM on my phone (AOSP Extended). When I opened TWRP and wiped everything (including system, data and internal), TWRP couldn't install my ROM because of some error code 7 (but that's not the main problem here). When I opened fastboot on my phone, I installed twrp into my phone using fastboot. The TWRP did boot up just fine. But when I clicked "install" and selected the custom ROM, TWRP simply closes, reboots the phone and TWRP starts again asking me if I want to allow changes. I noticed that this isn't because of my custom ROM. I tried also other things such as Gapps and TWRP does the same thing.. I don't know how to fix this. Can you please help? Thank you!

Stuck at Android boot screen after reset factory

Hi guys,
I'm using Phh's rom v9 in my Huawei Mate 10 Pro (BLA-L09).
Everythings was ok until I decided to proceed to a factory reset from the Android menu (Settings>System>Factory rest).
Now I'm stuck on the Android boot screen. I can see the "android" text with a fading effect, but it doesn't boot (the fading animation works).
When I wait 5 minutes, the device reboots to eRecovery screen, where I can only choose between "Download latest version and recovery", "Reboot", "Shutdown".
I can still go to fasboot mode and I can still boot on TWRP too (I'm using this version of TWRP).
I've tried to reflash the rom (Phh's treble version 9), but i've still the same problem.
When I try to flash another rom (for exemple LOS 15.1, from here, or Phh's treble version 12), I got another problem: bootloop.
When I try to do a facroty reset from TWRP, same problem: stuck in Android boot logo.
Do you know a trick to solve this problem?
Should I go bad to stock recovery to proceed to a factory reset?
Should I go back to stock Huawei rom?
Should I buy FunckyHuawei credit to use their unbrick tool?
Should I stop hacking my phone like I'm a pro?
Thanks for your help!

(It's from C636B134 but shouldn't matter)
Ok thank you, I can now boot on the Phh Treble v9 rom, I'm no more stuck on Android bootscreen.
I've tried other roms again (Phh treble v12 and LOS), still doesn't works, I can only boo on Phh's rom v9.
But I guess it's part of another problem.
Thank you!

Weird.
Did you try flashing SYSTEM.img from LOS and then Factory Reset from Stock recovery?
Yes. Here are the steps I've followed:
Downloaded LOS rom
Plugged my phone on usb
fastboot flash system sysyem_LOS.img
fasboot reboot
The phone bootloops 4 or 5 times
Factory reset asked after bootloops -> accepted
After factory reset, the phone reboots to the screen with "Download latest version and recovery", "Reboot", "Shutdown".
Maybe am I doing something wrong?
Should I run Factory Reset manually before bootloops?

Yeah, go to recovery right after flashing and factory reset.
I've tried again with LOS and Treble v12, same problem. The only one booting well is still Treble v9.
Hi again guys,
I get stuck on the Android boot logo again. I was using AOSP Treble v9, and decided to go back to stock version as explained on this guide :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-10/how-to/guide-mate-10-flash-oreo-update-package-t3716814
It did not works, I get stuck on the Android boot logo.
I've tried to go back on AOSP Treble v9 by flashing the recovery_ramdisk to the original one and flashing the v9 AOSP Treble, but I still get stuck on the Android boot logo.
Any idea how to boot on any Android version?
Thanks.

S6 edge (g925f) can't flash custom roms

Hi guys so I managed to get root and install twrp but I can't install a custom Rom,
I get no errors or anything during install I've tried lineageos 16 but every time insall and reboot I just get the boot screen for about 15 mins then it reboots to twrp.
The first time I tried it worked but I forgot to install open gapps so I tried again with gapps now every time I've tried flashing I get the same problem long boot screen then reboot to twrp.
I've even tried just flashing the Rom again but that doesn't work now also tried other roms that should work but no luck. I have my stock Rom backed up so I'm not stuck anywhere just want to get custom roms work I know it's probably something simple I'm doing wrong.
Reflash stock android 7 firmware.. Then install twrp again.. Make sure before flashing any rom, you have wiped system, data and cache.. Use gapps from http://opengapps.org
