Which Kernel is best ? - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Questions & Answers

I'm using LOS 14.1 (latest build) on my RN3 2GB.
I was thinking to flash a kernel but now confused with the variety of kernels present. So which one is better for Nougat: Franco, Radon or Agni ?

Stock LineageOS make 84k in Antutu, franco 74k...i stopped trying here and back to stock. No problem with it, fast and reliable.

Benchmarks mean NOTHING. Come on ... When will people realize it. Franco works great, if you want d2tw then radon. I'm on radon for several months and never had a problem and I have reliable d2tw.

I am using Elementalx, so far so good :good:

What means d2tw

Nitrogen os stable build + radon 4.0V is best combination so far. I havent faced any major fc's except on camera and flash light which will be fixed only when xiaomi release their source code for nougat kernel which in my opinion is not happening anytime soon

I've installed nitrogen os with the stock kernel and there's a huge improvement. I want to ask that does changing kernels really work?

Yes, gives you alot of options to tweak. Also it fix some issues with the goodix fp.
I got 14h SoT yesterday on NOS
By the way, you should use stock kernel with it...it has all tweaks you need

Best kernel for RR N

Which is the best kernel for RR N can anybody tell me? *
It all depends on your preference and use case.
1. Agni kernel
Cutting edge stuff with lots of updates
2. Radon kernel
Super stable and smooth with lots of features
3. ElementalX
Super stable with extra wake gestures
4.Infected kernel
I personally prefer Radon or Agni
For me Radon with per app profiles. Have tried pretty much all the kernels yet always end back at the Radon. Quick charge undervolt also

That's a tough one. So many good roms. I would say Speedy and stable: Umangs LineageOS. For an all-rounder try Aex-Lite mod with Radon (what I'm using) or a kernel of your liking. Lots of features and also fast. I've not properly tested Pure Nexusrom by Demon but heard it's good (doesn't support Exfat though)

I´m building one let see how it moves...

Is there any kernel with a headphone jack fix other than Agni Kernel?

I'm really frustrated. I want to use stock kernel or other kernel other than Agni, but my phone has a problem with headphone jack, and to my knowledge, only Agni have a solution to that problem. Is there anyone can advise me?
PS: I found a kernel, based from radon kernel. Its called Padon Kernel. But I just found Padon for Oreo (with the old trees). Is there Padon Kernel for Nougat or for Oreo with a new trees?
Thanks in advance.
Why you want other kernels than AGNi ? I believe the AGNi is best kernel for kenzo. You has find problem with AGNi ?

Because agni is not good enough for gaming. Facing lag when playing heavy games (ex: PUBG). No matter what rom I use, I always experienced lag when playing this game, but when using stock kernel or radon kernel, I have never experienced a lag at all. But, my headphone jack problem...it forces me to continue using agni.

ROM for 2gb kenzo

Hello there! I am looking for the fastest rom for 2gb variant of kenzo. It can even be a marshmallow, nougat or Oreo. Every rom I tried was working poorly after a week or so.
What rom will be the most stable/fast working? Thanks!

My phone shuts down randomly while running AEX. This is the only rom that gives me such problems. Do you have any idea why? Or if there is any good rom you could recommend?

if you are using latest AEX, then please look at the version 5.4 which is stable for daily usage. 5.6 has some problem as it is based on new device tree .
Mcaosp latest + Agni 12.9 is also a very good option you can try it. mcaosp latest has very good battery backup. always clean flash the os . Use gaaps by Mcaosp also .

Thank you for your answers! I want to ask for one more thing. What settings do you recommend while installing agni kernel? I always wondered if I should just select default options or if there are better choices.
ABC. Default kernel. Been using it continuously for more than a month
