Can anyone with a Verizon Wireless LG G6 please provide me with the Verizon Visual Voicemail APK. I just received my unlocked LG G6 and cannot seem to find the visual voicemail app for it. So I figured someone here can probably extract their phone and share it here with me and anyone else that may have an unlocked device. Thx :good:

It may have some dependencies or framework requirements that aren't padded into the non-VZW images. Sorry for the luck, man!

I am in the same boat and got the same error.
Setup Google Voice. Works great and isn't carrier dependent. Here's a link:

Sorry thought it would work as a stand alone but you might be right (Might be missing framework requirements).

Working perfectly for me using the (*71 [Your Google Voice number] ) option. Thanks
It gave me the same error and I had vvm working during the promo period so all the framework should still be in place.
I just got a LG G6 model US997 and would also be interested in getting Verizon Visual Voicemail working. If anyone has a solution, please share. Thanks.
Verizon VVM for Unlocked Phones
Having the same issue after just buying an LG V20 unlocked CDMA. Funny thing is i cannot understand why i did not have this problem when i bought my MOTO X pure edition CDMA unlocked phone in 2016. I think it is because the app was still available on Google Play then. I also get the APK corrupt message when i try to install the downloaded APK. First of all, when i did a transfer of all my apps to a new phone, i noticed that the Verizon Voicemail wasn't copied. I later saw in the Google Play app under library that it is not compatible with my phone, which is bull hokey because i just got an additional Verizon version of that same phone and it is preinstalled on that phone. I even used an APK extractor on that phone to copy out the VVM APK but got the same corrupt message when i tried to install it on my unlocked version. I believe it is due to a couple of things. I noticed that Verizon made a considerable amount of changes to the OS because the same phones with Android 7 have different settings screens. the language in the menu screens is even different. SO i think they embedded system or other files for this APK into the framework or OS of Verizon version phones and that is why the APK will not install.
So I used a program from the play store called Resource Extractor and extracted the Voicemail app from the Verizon LG V20 and copied the contents of the extracted files to the SD card. Interestingly enough, all of the file folders indicate 0 files until you copy to another folder on your SD card. There are now 662 files and folders in that folder. My problem is that i know nothing about APK development or coding on Android so i do not know how to take the extracted folders and files and create an APK from them. Has anyone had any success with this since the first posting here??? I like Verizon's visual voice mail application because it works much better than all the rest, but i refuse to pay Verizon 800 bucks for a new one. The one i recently purchased on the net is going back because the screen doesn't look right and the fingerprint reader is either not functional or disabled. It was claimed to be "New" but i have doubts because the screen colors do not look right. Here is the really funny thing. There is no reference in any of the setup process or in settings later for the fingerprint reader at all. So either this model did not have one or Verizon disabled it when they over wrote the OS. I don't really know.
Thanks For Listening

Yep, runs great on mine. BUT.... You will not get it to work unless you know someone on the inside. A vzw rep from this board had to turn it on for me. Once he did that all was well. Otherwise, you will not get them to do it until they make it official. the cab you downloaded is not for the TP, more than likely the4 omnia or that other Samsung crap.
Visual Voicemail on TP
Can you post your .cab files here for Visual VM on Touch Pro?
Ditto here. & who's the VZW rep who did it? I'd be willing to PayPal him a little if needed. The service looks pretty good.
The real crappy part is that the Touch Diamond that was just released by Verizon does have visual voice mail. Internally both devices are very similar. Minus the fact that the touch pro has more ram and a keyboard. Not Fair!
yeah this is really stupid since the diamond has it and there is no question they are the same phone software wise so just give us the ability to add visual voicemail already.
Are there any updates on this? Is there anyone on the board with VZW who can help?
Yes please post the Vis Voice for Verizon Touch PRO here
Pretty please with sugar on-top
Remember to Install .net framework 3.5 with it as well...Like everyone said, you need someone on the inside with Verizon to activate the service for you.
.net Framework cab can be found here: http://frifor.com/download/IBI/NETCFv35.wm.armv4i.CAB
I used this cab on my i910 omnia as well as i730, I am going to try it on my saga now, should work though I would think...

Although the cab installs no problem; getting it activated on the account is where the issue is...
hmm...so it installed ok, but when tried on the Saga, I get the error of "The device number could not be initialized. If you are in flight mode, please turn off flight mode and try again." My signal is def on...any idea's? I still have the omnia here if I should pull some files off of it...
It works fine for me & I didn't have to call anyone at Verizon to get it to work. After the install I was prompted to sign up for enhanced VM for 2.99 extra a month. From there it works well except the sound only comes out the speaker and not the earpiece, regardless of what I've selected in settings.

I actually called and requested the 2.99 service after downloading/ installing Verizon VVM app, they told me I couldn't get the service. As I was reading this thread, I came across this post, checked my VVVM app and there were my voice mails! Just waiting for me!
Can't wait for him to call me back Friday (like he promised) so I can tell him all about the miss information I get from the Verizon folks.
Side note, I see the MR1 2.0 is available from PCD

I signed up for it on My Verizon first.

Excuse me for my stupid question but I would like to know if it is supported for HTC Wildfire.. I installed the apk file and asks for activation but it gives a message something like "cannot be activated in this hardware device".. The application runs perfectly but every time I run it, it gives me the same message..
Any ideas?
TIA

All I know is that it was for the Vibrant, so that could be the reason why.

That's true!
After a quick search I didn't find something familiar on Wildfire forums. I was wondering if there is any way to overpass this message for Wildfire. I am not satisfied with Quickoffice that is preinstalled and I find Thinkfree is more useful and powerful when editing a file.
Anyway! Thank you for your quick response! All we have to do is to compromise with this "activation" message or wait for something else in the future!!

I think there's an available in the Market.
Yes, there is a free version in the Market, but I believe it's not the exact same. Reason why I say that is because when I try to download documents via dropbox/websites, it always says there is a non-compatible app to view it and never downloads it, but when I have this Think Office version installed, everything is fine. Perhaps it's just me, but I find there is a difference between the Vibrant's and Market's version from my experience.
It is true that there is a free version in the Market but it is the free version which is only for viewing. I would like the full version which is for editing as well. The problem is that in Greece paid apps are not supported via Market and still I am with the stock rom, rooted though. Perhaps in the near future I will flash a custom rom to "unclock" paid apps but since then I wanted to know if there is a way to overpass that "activation" message by doing... something...!! maybe edtiting a file with root explorer...
anyway! thank you for your replies!
To get activation you have to edit build.prob from /system directory Change model and board name to GT-I5800 or GT-9000 or others model that you know; like: ro.product.device=GT-I5800 and ro.product.board=GT-I5800, save, reboot, connect to the Net and get activation code
After activated you can change back to orgiginal one
Hey guys, I couldn't find any working Miqlive for the E3D, or gingerbread period.
I emailed the devs and this is what they sent me. Works like a champ for me.
Here's the email traffic as well...
First response:
"Greetings from mIQ! Thank you for your email.
mIQ is not yet available for Android Gingerbread.
Unfortunately we do not yet have a timeline for 2.3 support.
Our currently application should work on your phone, though it has not been
thoroughly tested. Because of this, it is not yet available in the Market.
If you'd like to try it anyway, we can send you the APK to test out.
Let us know.
Sincerely,
mIQ Customer Care"
Second response:
"Greetings from mIQ!
The APK is attached.
1. Copy the APK file to your Android?s memory card
2. Download and install an Apps Installer application from the Android Market
3. Once installed, the Apps Installer will display the APK files on the memory
card
4. Click and install the APK file
We look forward to your feedback.
Sincerely,
mIQ Customer Care"
It easily synced my contacts from the online account to my phone. It did not push all my old texts and photos from my Evo 4g to the 3d though, but thats fine for my use.
All of the old 4g content is still available online and the new 3d content is being backed up just fine as well.
Thank You!
I just rooted and flashed to 2.3, and have been looking for a good apk. Syncing right now!

just a heads up - i have noticed issues on some roms with it, i think it may be custom kernel related, but i'm not really sure what causes the conflict.

This version of Movie Studio is 1.1 in the link above...it WILL NOT run on my machine. FORCE CLOSE every time. Cannot get it to open
I have only been able to get 1.0 to run and even then it's not right.
The editing screen is all screwd up, not in color and you cant export your work.
Any other ideas guys?

I cannot even get it to install.

Jestream Support/Movie studio
I hate to say it BUT the complete lack of support on this tablet really shows me how few people have bought this thing.
I love it....I have a rooted inspire and it is like an extension of my phone BUT getting any questions answered from the 3 other people that bought one is beyond slow....LOL
I'ts like no one has this thing.
ROOT? Would love it but dont see it happening any time soon....Since there are only 3 of us that own a Jetstream.....
Really weird that I cant find ANYTHING out about Movie Studio that is not 9 months old. I'ts like they announced it and released it to a few tablets and that's it? Is there no support for this?
Tracy
Agree, the silence is deafening

Unless somebody releases a version that is adjusted for all phones they generally won't work.
