Okay, So before I show you all the goodies for your Wiko U Feel Prime let me tell you a little bit about whats going on...
I technically do not own a U Feel Prime, how ever I own the variant Blu Life One X2 Mini, though it seems to be very closely related according to GSMarena
Managed to port TWRP recovery originally from the Redmi 3S (again closely related) to the Life One X2, which I then ported to the Life One X2 Mini (confusing; I know). Long story short, this version of the ported TWRP recovery has been confirmed to work on the U Feel Prime.
Before I get into how to install TWRP and root your U Feel Prime there are a few things that need to be noted....
1. If the wiko is using the same kernel that is one the Life One X2 Mini then you WILL NOT be able to remount /system partition as RW (read and write) (PLEASE TEST THIS AND REPORT BACK TO ME)
2. DO NOT INSTALL SUPERSU AND MAGISK; choose ONE. They don't tend to play very nicely with each other. Which can lead to weird errors and soft bricks.
3. Magisk will also allow for systemless host file (to install Adaway), busybox and TONS of other systemless goodies
4. If TWRP gives you any issues (vibrates and reboots when performing flashes or nandroid backups) then boot into TWRP, select "mount" then disable MTP.
Let's get down to it:
download here: TWRP RECOVERY
1. Enable Development Options
2. Go into Development Options and enable OEM Unlocking
3. Connect phone to computer and open command prompt, run command "adb reboot bootloader"
4. Run the command "fastboot oem unlock"
5. Reboot into system to make sure everything is all good
6. again run command "adb reboot bootloader"
7. run fastboot command "fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img"
8. Then boot into twrp "fastboot boot TWRP.img"
9. Tap on 'reboot' at the bottom corner and select 'system'
To get root simply flash the latest Magisk12.zip
I will be updating this thread periodically.
If you want to try some other mods, tools, guides and ROMs designed for the Life One X2 and Life One X2 mini then check out BLOX2.com
BE SURE BEFORE FLASHING ANYTHING THAT IT IS COMPATIBLE WITH THE LIFE ONE X2 MINI; OTHERWISE YOU WILL BRICK YOUR PHONE!
Also, if anyone would be so kind to send me a nandroid backup of /boot and /system so that I can make a flashable Stock ROM.

If "fastboot oem unlock" doesn't work then try "fastboot oem unlock-go"
Make sure you have USB debugging enabled and oem unlock enabled in Dev options

N ify has been known to cause issues. You can use the command 'set enforce 0' to make selinux permissive. There are apps on the play store that can do this as well.

Known issues
- minor: screen capture is not working.
- minor: poweroff from recovery when usb is connected reboots into recovery, however, offline charging from rom is fine
The Note 3 version seems good, so I do not expect many issues here
Please test:
- mount USB storage on PC
- USB OTG mount and format to exfat/ext4 for testing
- Backup to exfat sdcard or USB OTG

Version 6.04.3 Alpha
http://d-h.st/users/philz_touch/?fld_id=29981#files
This is a repack around a pure stock ramdisk, like I used to do with Samsung devices.
They often work better this way to start with
It could have some selinux issues, but those we fix later, once we get it boot into gui
State was moved to Alpha to reflect it is early debugging and untested
Noobs should stay away for now
I love you man!!!!
Thanks for your great work, to my, one of the best recovery.

Dear bros/siss, I am an old member of this forum but never happen to me to write any thread. I do read about threads but i am not that genius like our devs, but since i have strong desire about my phone's appearance, i would like to tell you two thins:-\
1) I want oxygen os of one plus two phone which should work without any problem and steps for noobs are very very clearer. Also,it should work on any platform version like 4.3, 4.4 etc.
2) An official/unofficial CM 12 with zero (0) bugs.
We, all users of Grand2 have invested approx rs18,000 to rs21,000 to buy. But nowadays, every mobile phone, costs around 10000-15000 has got CM and many more, but still we are fighting for CM for these continuously 1.5 years. Please i request you guys to raise a positive voice to our DEVs to make these OS as we are awaiting for too much. Kindly share this thread.
Your loving friend/bro.
Thanks.
Hi sorry this is not the right place to ask for roms or things there is a separate section for questions and answers I came here for fora one plus 2 rom you may mislead many people like this so kindly ask things in the questions and answers sections thank you @VECTUS kindly remove this thread or move It as It may mislead at people thank you
here
1> On the TWRP recovery installed on your device, Download the OxygenOS ROM zip file and save it on your desktop.
2> Now extract the folder on your desktop and you will see two different files in the folder. Oxygen_1.0.0_Flashabdle.mdf and Oxygen_1.0.0_Flashabdle.zip. You need a zip file.
3> Step 2. After this connect you phone to the PC and Move the Oxygen_1.0.0_Flashabdle.zip file on your phone.
4> After this turn off your phone and boot in recovery mode. TO do this Hold Volume down button + Power button.
5> Now you phone will boot in recovery mode.
6> Now after this select Wipe option and and delete Cache, Dalvik cache and data.
7> Now go back and Select Install option and ‘choose zip from sd card’ from the Options.
8> Select the OXygenOS zip file and confirm the installation on next screen.
9> After the flash succeeds, you can reboot the device.
10> Enjoy.
So does the rom work? And were is the link to download the flashable zip?
its for oneplus one phone only and i want to know about our phones. so i wrote here coz may be any DEV can help us... link i missed but can be searched o google.
You are 100% right
Maybe its not the right place to ask but the important thing is that devs should read this
I`ll tell you something my friend ... we have few devs and almost of them not so talented ... they could import easy roms (like gennext ) but they cant build roms without bugs so dont expect too much ...
The truth sometimes hurt ... but we still love our devs and support them

2nd CWM or TWRP won't even start the zip installation(I suppose so)
3rd Even if it were to start, it will eventually fail giving you message about weird sh*t you don't know

I'm using a oneplus two and its a great device. But a major problem with it is that the stock ROM of the phone that is the OxygenOs is too buggy and so the oneplus users are moving to custom roms. So, I would recommend cm12.1..
In addition to this the features of oneplus devices and grand 2 is also very different so it will very difficult to port it.
So in short I can say stay with whatever you have right now. Its the best available at the moment.
Hit thanks If I helped!!

And from where do I get the TWRP file?
We got Xiaomi.eu support? That's amazing!
Amazing, full driver support direct from XIaomi, with GPlay and multilenguage 10/10
Great.. Why is the unlock process 720hours = 30 days.. What is wrong with Xiaomi?!? The Tab3 was also supported from XIaomi.eu.. But only small releases.. Lets hope for better with the Pad4.

It's working very well. I've installed it around 2h ago.
Are there directions to help a relatively newbie install this? I've recently purchased a Mi Pad - and it has an unofficial ROM and I'm hoping to flash this one. The device came unlocked already.
First, I followed this link to flash TWRP: stuffcompare.com/blog/807/How-to-flash-TWRP-recovery-in-Mi-Pad4. But I'm not sure that's actually successful. I'm not sure how to boot into TWRP...
Any help would be very, very much appreciated. Thanks.

After a while TWRP should boot

This is not an easy question, because it all depends on your needs and on what you are prepared to put up with. Most of them will do a decent job - depending on your needs. For me, I have found issues with virtually every Pie ROM that I have tried - and I have tried a lot. I think you just have to try as many as possible, and see which one most meets your needs while giving you the least amount of issues. I have eventually stayed with official HavocOS - but that may not suit your purposes. And I am always extremely wary of upgrading to new releases.
PS: with the benefit of hindsight, I should have stayed with Oreo - but I have taken the Pie plunge, so that's the way it is ...

I have eventually stayed with official HavocOS - but that may not suit your purposes. And I am always extremely wary of upgrading to new releases.
PS: with the benefit of hindsight, I should have stayed with Oreo - but I have taken the Pie plunge, so that's the way it is ...

I think you should - even if only just for the comparisons. I would start with Oreo (non-Treble) ROMs.

any particular oreo Roms you want to recommend? For daily driver, bugless preferably

There is no such thing as a bugless ROM - but, from my recollection, Validus and AICP were reasonably good.

may be that's why people like MIUI...full with tons of bloatwares but reliable... however I remember my xperia z had huge roms available and lot of them were almost bug free.. old days were good for using custom roms

Hmm ... MIUI is very far from bugless. Personally, I wouldn't touch MIUI with a barge pole. It is the first thing that gets wiped from all my devices.

I've just unlocked bootloader of my redmi 5 plus vince, now how do I install any custom recovery? what things I need to install on my PC? I really need some detailed help and links regarding this issue...

I have a simple solution :
1.Download your recovery img file
2. Keep the recovery in your phone internal storage
3. Keep the recovery in your pc too
4.Download adb setup in your pc
5. Install adb setup in your pc ( don't open after install)
6.Copy the recovery file
7. Go to your C drive and open adb
8.paste the recovery file
9. Press Shift and right click
10. Click open command window here
11. Switch off your mobile
12. Press and hold volume down and power key to go into fastboot mode
13. Now connect your phone to pc with data cable
14. Enter the code:-
(A). fastboot devices
(B) fastboot install recovery recovery.img
(C) fastboot boot recovery.img
Now your phone will boot into recovery mode
15. Swipe to allow modification
16. Press install
17. Install the recovery you kept in internal storage
Thats it...now reboot..
I personally reccommend Orangefox recovery
kernel - stock ready for root
Boot.img For Xperia 5 J8210 and J9210 variants.
J8210/J9210
DOWNLOAD:
STOCK
J8270
DOWNLOAD:
STOCK
For root you need install magisk manager and patch boot.img via magisk .
Next step is easy : Install drivers and use flashtool or fastboot to flash patched boot.img .
Good luck .
FLASHING:
For flash you need :
1.Unlocked bootloader (warranty to be not void)
2.ADB i FASTBOOT
3.Drivers for your device (try to install drivers from flashtool. Win10 users must disable drivers signing.)

Thanks.
However, I won't root my device. I've had Sony devices since 2012 and it'll be the 1st device that I won't root.
Unfortunately, since XZ2, we have no DRM patch and cannot have hope to have it...
I don't want to lose DRM protected stuff (such as camera denoising...).
Thank you, might give this a go. Have you tested on an Xperia 5?
Sent from my Sony J8210 using XDA Labs
Until the Xperia 5 doesnt received anymore os updates I will give this a go. Does it contain the drm keys?
That was stock boot without patches , drm etc. You can flash it via fastboot .

Looks like You totally missed the DRM Patches which are around since 2017... There is nothing not working anymore. Even AOSP can take Denoised Pictures OOTB. Besides that has SONY Changed a lot around the Camera with the Xperia 1 & 5. I mean... 3 Lenses? We are good to go. My Xperia 5 will be in My Hands tomorrow and i will not wait a Single Minute to unlock its Bootloader

a bit off-topic
@Miustone could you run "Camera2 API Probe" before/after unlocking and post screenshots of the results for comparision, please. I would like to know which DRM camera stuff still works afterwards without ta-backup/restore

Ha ha!! Excuse me but find us a DRM patch for xperia XZ2, XZ3 and 1. You won't find because it does not exist.
Beside my Xperia 5, I've my good old rooted XZ2: its denoising in low light conditions is not good at all, it was much better when it was not rooted. Why? Because some Sony camera stuff is DRM protected.
Now, you can do anything with your device, I don't care...
PS: the only existing "patch" for XZ2 only prevents black view in camera on Pie (it was a real patch on Oreo... but this is a long story, I won't tell it here).
What sin file did you extract from and what tool did you use to extract it? Thanks
EDIT: @MAREK10747 sorry, read in your post that you extracted manually because Flashtool doesn't work with these files yet. I've uploaded what I believe is the US' Xperia 5 (J8270) boot image. If you have a moment would you mind extracting this one so we can root?

Hi!
Sorry if this is a stupid question, I'm a complete beginner at these things and never rooted anything in my life so... Please be gentle I'm looking to root my Xperia 5 j9210 version because I'm told that's what I need to do in order to regain the ability to record calls which was lost to me due to the Android Pie update. However, I feel lost in the terminology and I'm really unsure about what I actually need and what I don't need... I read somewhere I need a custom rom, someone said Stock works fine, either way I can find neither stock nor custom roms for the device in question despite my best efforts... I did however find this, but a Kernel is not a rom as far as I understand so I don't really know where that leaves me... Would anyone mind explaining to me what this is, if it will help me achieve what I need (root acess so I can record calls) and if so how do I use it? I'm talking like, explain this as if I was a caveman and then maybe I might get it somewhere down the line... xD
I'm imagining a lot of people would just go "You have no idea what you're doing, this is not for you, please stop", but I am genuinely trying to learn about these things so... If you don't mind, please help this humble beginner understand the basics
Any and all help is much appreciated!
Cheers

I totally agree!
@MAREK10747
Sorry in advance for my ignorance:
But at least, a minimum of knowledge of Android and Magisk assumed, the people will know what to do. Before at least there's a working TWRP for this device, I won't buy it and will stay with a supported XZ2/XZ3 device.
Well, it's a new device, and I surely don't want to criticize you; it will help people who already got this device and can't wait to root :good:

Sorry again, but this isn't the correct order. It has to be: Someone offers a product and another one is willing to pay for it and/or support it, but not: "Send me some money via PayPal to motivate me and I will see what I can do". It's like to buy a pig in a poke!
On the other hand, I don't know, if this goes conform with the xda rules...
