If I recall, there's a tiny hole beside the sdcard slot there. Use a pin or something small enuf and try to press into it until the phone vibrates. That should work

I tried yesterday, without success. I stayed 2min but it's still not working.

Try to press "volume down" + "volume up" + power button in this order and hold for 30 seconds. This will reset your phone, so of you have some data it will be deleted!

Yes.. i even tried to put out the battery, without success, i think that i gonna buy another phone

Try to charge phone for 3 hours and try again without SD card and SIM card. If still not working try to reflash Android ROM with Flashtool. Wipe everything before this. Good luck!

Not working :/ But thank you :good:

If you use window 10 might be adb drivers are not installed properly and phone can't be reflashed via Flashtool. There is a special procedure for windows 10 for installing of drivers. Check if your drivers are properly installed if you use windows 10 of course. Over internet you can find how to install new drivers on windows 10 if used .
This is only shot on the dark .

[Q] Rebooting at start

Hello dear xda users.
Today since 1-2 hours ago something terrible happened. My X10i .. keeps rebooting at the "Sony Ericsson" startup.
History:
I updated to 2.2 Beta 4, but I forgot to update the kernel so the phone kept rebooting, but not at startup, only after a couple of minutes.
I flashed to the required kernel, but decided to go back to Beta 3 instead, and the same problem occured here too, also that the wifi and mobile network were out of function.
And I remembered that I had made an backup of my original version with xRecovery, so I restored the phone and tried to switch back to Beta 3 and this is when the **** happened..
Am I screwed?
Stuffs Ive tried:
* Flash the version back (cannot enter flash mode anymore) = fail
* Tried to make a factory reset through PC Companion (cannot enter flash mode) = fail
I need help guys, this phone is only 2 weeks old. I just want to cry, dunno what to do
Bump! No one?
Also tried to pull out battery while the phone connected with usb, pressing back key and inserting key.
I have a thought, maybe its that my phone isnt being recognized by the computer due to problem with USB drivers. Does any1 know how I can manually install it?

Now the phone doesn't turn on no matter what i do.
i connect it to my pc with pc companion and it doesn't show that my phone is connected
i pulled of the battery connection through that removable rubber thingie at the back of the phone, connected it again nothing.

That doesn't make sense. because that wouldn't have deleted the kernel, you can only do that from the pc, not from the phone itself. And as long as the kernel is on there it will turn on. You must have done something else. Or your battery is completely empty, but i don't really think that that's it either. Try to put it on charge (wall-charger) anyway and see if that does something.

I don't know which format option you chose in that menu, but there's nothing in there that actually kills your phone. I assume it's still turned off now.. if you press the back-button and connect the usb-cable, does the green light come on?

Need help recovering data from a bricked G925F

Hello, i'm trying to help a friend recover his data from a galaxy s6 edge he bricked. He bricked it while using a software that was suposed to recover a deleted file
Now the phone cannot be shut down, it`s in recovery mode and can be reset with power and volume up down key , and get into download mode.
Good news is that he said he had activated debugging mode but he does not know what version of android he had(i'm thinking 5 or 6 )
Ok so the main goal is to get the data out , doesn;t matter if the phone is dead after that.
I did some research but i'm unsure how to proceed: as this is a phone without a sd card , the data needs to come out of the usb port. How can i do that? using a custom recovery?
Can i install a custom recovery if the phone is not rooted and bricked?
Is there any other method to get the data out?
Thank you

First of all... The phone is not bricked. Have you tried to reboot from recovery mode? In recovery click wipe cache then reboot. Any luck?
Does the pc recognise the phone in file explorer?
What exactly is the phone doing now? Stuck in recovery?
You can flash TWRP then using TWRP make a backup of data. It's hard to tell at this point if any data is already gone.
One thing to ask before you do anything.... did your friend have sync turned on in google/Samsung account and/or Google photos?
He didn't have sync turned on.
He'll come by later woth the phone and i'll see exactly how the phone is behaving

Try to make the backup of data only and see if it works. Alternatively do you have an OTG flash drive .
If you plug it into pc is it recognised in my pc/file explorer?
Yes i can browse the contents of the phone in pc but i canot copy or open them.
I'll try and get a otg adapter

I only get an error when i try to copy them windows 10 says unspecified error and windows 7 does not give an error but nothing happens when i click paste(tried on 2 laptops ). Twrp does not give an error.
Could it be that the phone is not rooted ?

It shouldn't make a difference that the phone is not rooted. When TWRP first booted did you select keep system r/o or did you swipe for modification?
I honestly don't remember it asking anything but i would have chosen to keep

Try flash TWRP again and this time swipe to allow modification. Then try mount.
something came up and i have to leave it for the weekend.
I'll come back with news next week

Is it possible to unlock the bootloader when you are locked out of the phone?

Hi.
I've been doing some reading because my father is locked out of his P20 Lite. He never turns the phone off, and since he started using the fingerprint as soon as he discovered it, he forgot the PIN in no time. I could hard reset the phone but of course he needs all the data back.
As far as I have read, I could install TWRP and operate in it to backup the data, but first I need to unlock the bootloader, but any guide I read goes through the system settings enabling developer options and such, wich are not accesible without being logged in the phone, wich is not possible without the PIN.
I'm finding myself between a rock and hard place... What can I do?
Suggestions are really appreciated. Thanks!!

If your phone is running EMUI 9 , try Emergency Backup :
Turn off your phone and connect it to your computer using USB cable. Press and hold the Volume Up and Power Button for 10-15 seconds, until the device restarts and enters the eRecovery mode. Select "Emergency backup" .

That's superb! Thank your very much!
The phone indeed gives the option to do emergency backup but for some reason my dad's computer is unable to comunicate via USB with the phone. I asked my father to go and get an USB memory stick with type C connector and we are going to try that way.
Thanks again!
