Hi,
Iam wondering whether it's worth to get a 128 gb u3 sd card for the Moto Z. I want to have some data on it and move some apps to the SD card. What do you think? Any noticable advantages over an ordinary class 10?

No. The U3 has extra data pins to make it faster.
With that said I have one and it's faster than the U1, I'm assuming because of the quality of chip.

Is there a reason why the SD port will only accept upto 16GB of memory? To be honest, I do not see myself using more, but I was curious as to why it was limited at 16.
Seems 32GB cards are known to work fine

I was using a class 4 sdcard since the phone released up until a few weeks ago. I can honestly say after moving to the following http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231577&Tpk=gskill%20class%2010 from a Transcend CL4 I have noticed no difference other than when transferring files, which I do with my PC and a sdcard reader if I am transferring a lot. Overall performance of the phone has proven to be no different in my experience. A benchmark may show a difference, but in real world use on my phone there is none that I have come across.

im using a samsung class 10 32gb card that was bought for $30 and im getting read/write speeds of about 22mb/s.
may be an issue with the card itself or applications. But as the guy before me said, check with sandisk, they are able to give you the most accurate answer! the rest of us are only able to guess
Hi. I'm a noob to this forum. I'm upgrading to the Samsung Galaxy S3 very soon and was looking at Micro SD cards. I was looking at the SanDisk 64 GB SDXC Micro SD card. I can't find any information regarding whether the S3 can use this card. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Yes. A SGS3 should support any of the following SD cards up to 64gb: microSD, microSDHC, microSDXC
Edit: A source that confirms it: http://www.phonearena.com/phones/Samsung-Galaxy-S3_id6330
Thanks very much for the quick reply and help. Much appreciated!

If I buy a new S4, should I get a 32GB one or save some money and get a 16GB one and add an SD card? Will the 32GB memory be faster than any SD card? Does it matter what speed the SD card is?

I regret getting the 16 GB because I am stuck on ME7 and the only way I can flash roms is with safestrap. If I had more internal memory I could have more than 2 safestrap roms which would be cool. But I manage with the 16 GB and and a 32 GB micro SD.
I hate having the 16. I can only have 1/4-1/3 of my apps installed

I have the 16 and a 32 SD card and it is just fine. Would have liked to get the 32 but none were available when I got mine.
