I made this mod for users of Resurrection Remix for A310 that want an easy way to boost media audio.
This will install ViPER4Android FX v.2.5.0.5 as a system app and remove AudioFX, making V4A the default equalizer.
No need to install drivers. They come pre-installed with this zip!
No need to worry about flashing this after each and every rom update,
I included a script for backup & restore of V4A, and removal of AudioFX on each rom update!
Flash, reboot, open V4A and turn on master power, play around with the settings untill you find what's good for your headphones, and taste of music.
Enjoy!

Yeah RR 7.1 is gone ( i dont know why and all files deleted) but now they're working on Oreo. It's Alpha now. We need to wait their work.

I am not seeing V4A app icon anywhere after flashing the zip. Device also has become a lot sluggish since I flashed this zip. Lemme knwo uninstall process if it exists or I'll need to reflash the lollipop ivan ROM.

just remove the app from here using aroma file manager....... system/app/ViPER4Android_FX_A4.x/ViPER4Android_FX_A4.x.apk
just delete the folder.....did you use stock launcher try to use google now launcher with material design

Removed viper folder. ROM working perfect now.
Was using Google now launcher only. Would really like to try Viper mod though. Any tips ?

Viper in Lollipop worked!
It worked for me perfectly on Xiaomi MI3 running AOSP 5.0.
But I first unchecked the "Use NuPlayer" in development settings before installing the zip from CWM recovery.

Works for me, but you have to delete some unused apps like gmail, email first. There is no space in /system (at least on my phone)
not able to save the edited build.prop
After editing the built.prop I am not able to save it. It says no space left cannot save.

Okay,
Make sure "use awesome player" in developer options is unticked.
If you not using a permissive kernel like androplus then install SElinux Mode changer and set to permissive.
Go to app, in settings and find "Audio settings" in all and disable. Also "Music FX".
Now install V4A app, install drivers and reboot.
Wait for SElinux mode changer to give a heads up that you are set on permissive, open music/walkman play a song and open viper and check if you processing(driver status).
You should be good.

In cm12.1 there is no problem using de SELinux mode changer, set it on permissive, turn off all AudioFX options. That's enought for me.
On stock, ExistenZ, PureX, and others based on stock:
Use de Dolby mod from @Rajeev, it will disable de Sony audio options (so if u want to restore them, u will need to flash again the desired firmware without wipes). Once u do that, use SELinux to set permissive, turn Dolby OFF, install V4A driver, reboot and enjoy.
If you want to use at the same time v4a and Sony audio system, don't install Dolby mod, but u have to set V4A to "compatibility mode" but when u play music, IT WON'T play at the same time other sounds, like navigation instructions.
Actually I'm using V4A in normal mode with @Rajeev's PureX rom using his Dolby mod, it works flawlessly.

*BusyBox app needed to run Viper4Android:
*Download the Custom Kernel V2 from this thread and flash with TWRP, wipe cache/dalvik, reboot:

You need a permissive kernel to make your day easier.
Download the modified stock or optimized one and flash using TWRP.... then it will work

The viper4android on samsung device, is really a good thing to all of them who like sound enhancement, even i also, now ... i am samsung galaxy j7 prime SM-G610F user, and i just root my phone successfully today's evening, and install such as couple of app which belong on rooted phone including viper4android but, i m stuck for the same error, the viper4android was install completely-driver status is normal-supported but as soon i as start music, after 3 4 sec it just stop work, i reboot my phone after installing new driver but hopeless, if this is work for sm-g610f, or any way to use this enhancement on my device.. pls help me, i miss my v4a

How do I install this?
After downloading and placing all the files to your internal storage, do this:
If you have Android 5.0/5.1 then go to developer options and make sure you disable the Nu Player and use Awesomeplayer instead.
Install the correct version of eXtremeBeats zip via the recovery.
Extract the ViPER4Android folder from my zip to your internal storage.
Install Viper4Android app (if you don't have it already), open it, and select Super Audio Quality driver, then reboot.
Open Viper4Android - press the menu button - UI Setting - Expert.
How do I use this?
Connect your headphones - open Viper4Android - press the menu button - Load Effect Profile - and load a profile of your choice!
Which profiles should I use?
If you are on LG based ROM (stock LP, KK) then use LG ROM Bass profile.
If you are using AOSP, use AOSP Bass or AOSP Rock profile.
If you want to create a new profile, then use Basic Template as a template - it has an equalizer made for QuadBeat2 headphones.
If you're using different headphones, then try these profiles first, and customize them to your taste. It will work without any problems.
Do not be afraid to experiment with Viper, try all the settings, change them, combine them, create new profiles and most of all, don't forget to press thanks!
Note: I did not create the eXtremeBeats mod, but I felt like I have to share my combination with you, because the music sounds amazing, no matter the ROM (stock/AOSP).

Sorry but i am kinda noob. I extracted your zip and found 3 folders DDC, Kernel & Profile (AOSP BASS, AOSP ROCK Basic Template & LG ROM Bass ). And i don't have any idea which folder where to place required your help.
Profiles need to be place in viper/profiles but i dont know abour other files
And one more thing everytime i am opening viper app it is asking to install driver which i have done already multiple times.

All 3 folders should be extraced to the ViPER4Android folder in the sdcard folder (meaning the DDC, Kernel and Profile folder is inside ViPER4Android folder).
Did you grant Viper root permissions? Did you reboot after isntalling the driver? Is your SELinux set to permissive? If so, then try to google for help.

Try setting the UI settings to Expert in the Viper menu, and lower the bass boost a bit.
Or, if you like it that way, try playing with the settings a bit.
Please try to share it with more people, as I feel it does not get as much views as it deserves.

Just load up basic template profile (with the equalizer only) and try setting things up by yourself! Set the UI settings (in the Viper menu) to Expert, and try changing the Convolvers

Just tried this mod and i'm not sure I did things correctly and just want to make sure of a few things.
1.) I am using a 5.1.1 rom so I installed extremebeats 5.0. Is that correct?
2.) I see that there were 4 apks installed into my system\app folder, but not in a specific app folder like other system apps. Also, those apps don't show up in my apps list. Is this all normal? Am I supposed to have access to those apps for any reason?

You cant install V4A on 5.1.1 . Perform a full backup if you are going to try. You can flash Extremebeats too but as i said before run a full backup in recovery to secure your device and avoiding bootloops . Before all these check if your SELinux is set to permissive .

I believe the problem is somewhere else, because I use BlissPop based on CM 12.1 (Android 5.1.1) and I am using Viper.
So, you can install Viper on Android 5.1.1.
Hi. thanks to @mannyvzla finally i got Viper4Android to work. on Stock Rom, Stock Kernel and Marshmallow!
here are the steps. (you need rooted s5)
1.Install busy box.
2.flash this file via recovery menu https://www.dropbox.com/s/k9cnruw2e1t1d4t/ViPER4Android-supolicy.zip?dl=0
(it will allow viper4android for your stock kernel)
3.after that go to SuperSU Settings and uncheck the entry for namespaces.
4.install viper4android normally (just download the original apk and install it)
5.install the driver, restart phone
6.enjoy your music In BEST QUALITY

Installed on a Canadian sm-900w8, stock.
I also froze the built in music player, adapt sound and google music to make sure it wouldn't interfere.
I couldn't locate the music effects in either the default player or google music, which is why I disabled them.

If you go into Viper and change the Ui setting to moderate it will open more options being Master Gate which is under Extra Loud. Both of these options can give a boost.

Make sure to also try selecting "Compatible" mode in "Settings - FX Compatible Mode". For me if it's on "Normal" there is no effect but when I change it to "Compatible" it works fine.

Worked great for me. I first had to switch from MagiskSU back to SuperSU, which was tricky. I also needed to use compatible mode. Using it with Spotify.
