How to clear cache partition / enter recovery on G5 H850? - LG G5 Questions & Answers

I just can't get it to work. All guides or videos I saw say you have to:
1. power off
2. hold volume down + power
3. let go when logo appears
4. press volume down + power again and hold
This doesn't work. It does nothing but to enable some weird "safe mode" which breaks everything when the phone boots.

Hold vol down and power, release power while continuing to hold vol down then hold power again while still holding vol down.

Erm... this brings up a menu asking me to restore to factory (delete all user data)? yes. no. and when I press no, it just boots normally again. How to enter recovery to wipe just the cache partition?
First thing I totally find funny is, that everywhere people say "hold down volume down and power and then let both go and press both again" which is obviously wrong. You have to just let power go, like you said.
Then this menu actually should appear, right : https://i.imgur.com/YDVhaLk.png
But it just shows this: https://i.imgur.com/G0E6xGO.png

Yes it does, but if you have TWRP properly instalked hitting yes twice will boot into TWRP.

Please help how to enter into recovery?

I have tried all the potential solutions but nothing worked.
For those who do not want to root their phone and do not want to install other weather app for many reasons i will show you the best solution that worked for me and i hope it will help other people.
First of all, back up all your settings with Kies. -It is important because you will lose ALL your data if you do not.
After that disconnect the phone from usb and go to recovery mode (press Vol. UP + Home Button + Power Button until you see the Samsung Galaxy SIII logo)
Using the Vol. Up/Down Button go to wipe data/factory reset and press the Power Button
Using the Vol. Up/Down Button go to Yes -- delete all user data and press the Power Button
Once that procedure finished and you are in the main menu of recovery mode
Using the Vol. Up/Down Button go to wipe cache partition and press the Power Button.
Once that procedure finished and you are in the main menu of recovery mode
Using the Vol. Up/Down Button go to wipe data/factory reset and press the Power Button
Using the Vol. Up/Down Button go to Yes -- delete all user data and press the Power Button
Once that procedure finished and you are in the main menu of recovery mode
Using the Vol. Up/Down Button go to reboot system now and press the Power Button
Setup your phone as you did for first time
And then connect the phone to your PC using Kies to restore the backup that you did before.
It worked for me and I have no problem at all.
*** I haven’t try all this to other SG3 such as Sprint, Verizon or Rogers. I have tried this only to the International Version of SG3 ***
Say Thanks if that solution is working.

[Q] About forgot password (strange

(sorry about my chinglish )
So here's how:I locked my nexus10 and forgot the password, and I do not see the "Forgotten" button on the screen and also I didn't turn USB debugging mode on, so is there any possibility I can save my data instead of cleaning them up? Thank you (btw, I deleted the original recover files(because I once booted Ubuntu Touch on it) how can I reset it anyway?) Tanks a lot
Don't think there's a way..
And you should be glad because if it was possible anyone could break into your device.
P.S.

yeah........I see, so how can I clean everything, the recovery is dead and I didn't turn the debugging mode on
Right from Google:
1.If your tablet is on, power it off.
2.Press and hold Power, Volume Up, and Volume Down at the same time for several seconds. You will see the word Start with an arrow drawn around it.
3.Press Volume Down twice, until you see the option Recovery mode.
4.Press Power to restart into Recovery mode. You should see an image of an Android with a red exclamation point.
5.While holding down Power, press Volume Up.
6.Use the Volume keys to scroll to Wipe data/factory reset and press Power to select it.
7.Scroll down to Yes - erase all user data and press Power to select it.
Note: If at any point during the above steps your tablet becomes unresponsive, you can restart it by holding down the Power button for several seconds.

Fastboot
You can use Fastboot without USB Debugging enabled.
"To use fastboot, power off, then hold down the power button and both volume buttons. That will take you to the bootloader screen where you, or the toolkit, can do fastboot commands."
I've attached a CWM Recovery image for your device.
Place it somewhere on your computer and open the Terminal application on your computer. Run the following command:
fastboot flash recovery <image location>
Then you can backup /data using advanced backup, perform a factory reset, CREATE A FULL BACKUP, then restore /data using advanced restore.

I wipe my s5 data I meant the everything wipe from twrp and now its not letting me install any roms, tried with 2 roms and it says fail everytime, I can still access recovery and probably download too please what can i do to fix my wife s5, thanks

Hey there!
Can you still access "download mode?" Download mode is accessed by holding down the volume decrease button and the home button.
Press the power button, volume decrease button and home button at the same time but letting go of the power button and keep pressing and holding the volume decease and home button while the download mode screen appears. you will know this when you see a green android and a "downloading now" screen.
NOTE: do you have a copy of t-mobile's stock firmware to re-install?

Thanks for reply. When should I do that combination? While the phone is off or while is stuck on this screen? How long should I hold power key? Just for a second or until something happens?

Same thing, it got booted up in Android but this time it says "Safe mode" in the bottom left corner (can't remember if it said that last time).
Power off ur phone before following the above key combination and wait until the screen turns back on.
Don't understand you, but I think you should go to download mode and reinstall TWRP.

Please help GT-N7000

Please help me. My phone was stuck on the logo screen. I've tried to read posts on how to fix this and I can't understand anything. I've tried to press and hold power+volume up+home, nothing happens but when I try to press and hold power+volume down+home, I'm getting a screen. Please advise
Hi , press again Vol + , Home and Power button at the same time , once you feel vibration just release power button but keep pressing vol + and home button in order to enter into recovery menu . Then navigate with vol - button and go to wipe cache partition one time press power button now go to Wipe data/Factory Reset and again press one time power button and then go to reboot system now .
Thanks for answering. It’s not doing anything when I press Power+Volume Up+Home
Did this issue happen suddenly? Or while trying to flash a ROM or tweaking something else?
