Does anyone have this issue? I just got my phone back from LG factory repair center. When I turn off and turn my phone back on, it has the max brightness, so i have to click on "auto" to have "auto brightness".
Do you have a working SIM card in your phone? If not it's common behavior.
I set mine to 70% manual and almost never change it.

It seems that everytime I plug my phone to the charger for few hours, it goes into Emergency calls only mode where I have no data and no calls incoming nor outgoing. Only way to solve it is to restart the phone or turn Airplane mode on and off to reset. Is this a common problem ? Could it have happened from unlocking my boot loader and rooting ?
I'm considering switching to the custom ROM "the base" in order to maybe solve this
Well I think this is new. Could just be a bad sim card. I don't have this problem and I haven't seen anyone else mention having it. I'd go to where ever I got it and have them swap the sim and if that didn't work the phone.
I would open the sd card/sim card cover and make sure sim is inserted fully. It should lock into place and need to be pushed in further to eject. I used a paperclip to push it in.

I actually had this happen to me like two days ago. I had just texted someone before walking to the lower level of a mall to go shopping. I took a look at my phone a little later and my phone was stuck on Emergency Calls with no data coming in. The carrier on the status bar wasn't even there anymore. Restarted my phone and all was fine. Not sure what caused it.
I've had this the last two days in areas I've always had great service. Wonder what's up with it.

Base rom has this enabled, or you need to be rooted and edit build prop.
I had this happen last week. I did the airplane mode toggle to clear it... but it freaked me out for a few minutes.
Running The Base, sk8r's kernel during install, no change to the LTE setting, no crazy mods applied.
I also sit in a nearly-dead-zone at work, and I have lost the data connection. Moving into the clear does not fix the issue. Reboot has been required.
This Android App Might Help
I had just the same problem with my Samsung Galaxy S2 with UK mobile provider Three.
I eventually wrote an app called which reconnects whenever it detects that the phone has got locked into Emergency Calls Only.
Maybe it will be of use to you. Search Google Play for "Cell Reconnect". Seems I'm not allowed to post links here yet...
Figured it out for my phone
I got a refurbished LG optimus G E970 from a seller online and had this issue the second day of using it. I checked to see if it was the SIM or SD card by putting them into my old phone, but that wasn't it because the old phone still functioned properly making calls/messages. I even did a factory reset on the phone. Still didn't work. I finally just decided to change the mobile networks to my provider's GSM network and it worked. Not sure why it didn't work in the first place since I never changed the network, but this did the trick.

Hello. Could you please elaborate on how you fix that issue? I'm currently on T-mobile and my unlocked AT&T LG E980 is losing signal like crazy, just briefly loses signal and goes into emergency mode only. It is so annoying though. Would really appreciate any insight on it. Thanks.

Hi all!
Today I bought a new LG-P713 (L7 II) phone. All things work great but when I`m charging the phone it loses mobile network and nobody can call me; also I can`t call anybody
I studied other related threads but did not find useful information around that. How can I solve this issue?
Thanks in advance
Hey there.
Congratulations on your purchase! Welcome to the LG family! I'm sorry to hear that you have a problem with your phone after buying it, and my best guess would be; try to restart! You said you bought your phone today, maybe you need to restart your phone and disable/enable your data connection. Maybe that'll work!

Thank you! I restarted it and tested it again for a short time (because it had 85% of charge already) and I did not notice the issue again! Again I will test it for a longer time and I will report the result here to ensure other users regarding this simple solution.
Hi,
Unfortunately this issue occurred again today! I really like this phone and hope to find a good solution for this bad problem.
Turn your phone off and remove your battery and SIM card. Boot up the phone, leave it for a couple of seconds and turn it off again. Insert your battery and SIM card and turn your phone on again.

Maybe a simple question but how can I boot up the phone?
And does phone boot up without battery?

Boot means start. With booting up, I mean start up your phone. And no, you can't turn your phone on without a battery unless it's connected to a charger.

Thank you Tahax! I tried your last solution but still I lose mobile network while charging the phone
I called LG mobile support in my city and they told me that now they can`t solve this problem because they don`t know its reason! Also they told that we propound this issue with LG technicians and call you if they find a solution for this problem.

That's great, but the technicians of LG tend to take their time, so in the meanwhile I can still help you look for a solution. Go to your settings and try to enable 2G only, and see if the problem still persists. Also try to let your phone automatically choose a network operator, which can be found in the same batch of settings. I'm not sure about the L7 II, because I have the L7 version, but I navigate to settings > wireless and networks > more > mobile networks. That's where you can find all of these settings.

Alright, well, I'm afraid that the problem might actually be somewhere in your hardware. Maybe you just have the unfortunate luck to buy a partially broken phone. In that case, it's good that you contacted LG. I'm sure they'll fix your problem.
Thanks for visiting!
was it solved
Hello, just got the LG L7 2 and it has the same problem: cellular signal disappears when the phone is charging. Most inconvenient.
Anybody found the solution already ?

Hi there!
The best solution is returning phone to LG services, I did and they changed the phone main board for free!
I have a Verizon lg g3 I flashed the latest lollipop from Verizon after kdzing to stock. I run a T-Mobile sim. I reset the APN because I was having text failures. I then lost all service. My cell no longer picks up any service. The sim registers but that's it. Its constantly in a no service state. I kdz again back to stock still no service. What can I do? The sim was checked its fully functional...

look in settings about phone and see if your imie is all zeroes.
No, it shows my imei and all my info. I installed a sim card reader app and all the info shows up as well. I really don't know what to do??

im hardly a sim expert, but just because you can see your info, may not mean its not toast.
flashing can and has, many times, fried sims. i would get a new one, then go from there.
I'm constantly getting a little popup on my LG V30 that says "Mobile Data Enabled".
I'm not doing anything to trigger this notification (like toggling airplane mod, Wi-Fi, etc).
It just pops up whenever it wants to. Its somewhat obnoxious, and I cant seem to find what is causing it.
Anyone have any ideas?

There's a setting in Wi-Fi section to turn mobile data on even if you're on Wi-Fi, in certain circumstances.
Your screenshot shows you're on Wi-Fi. So your mobile data wouldn't ordinarily it on, unless you have that option enabled. I suspect there's your culprit.

Then it sounds like at some point, for some reason your mobile data is disabled. And you phone is now notifying you everything is OK again. Dead zone maybe?

I like the 4G lte logo better than the one on mine. Anyhow, your suggestion sounds like it could be it, although I must be going blind; I don't see a WI-FI indicator on his image.

I could see that, but I get solid service at work and home, and this is constantly popping up.
I never had this happen before I got the pixel 2 XL a couple weeks ago (it happened on that phone all the time as well), and when I switched to the V30 it's like this notification carried over lol. No idea what's going on.

I use Wolt partner app for my food delivery job. One of the functions is getting a push notification when the restaurant has marked food as ready. But at one point that one notification stopped coming through (others still work, like new task or chat message). I've made no changes in the app or Android system, and all notifications are set to on. Wolt support said they can't replicate the problem so it's probably my phone. But how can I determine why this is happening?
The phone is Huawei Mate 20 lite running EMUI 10, Android 10.

Not with the SIM card, but with the operator, who may be doing something strange with the push transfer.

If you change your carrier card and your employer sets up a new number for notifications, you'll be closer to the truth about where the problem lies before you reset your phone. Or would you rather reset the phone?
Hey, I know this is an old thread, but my issue still persists, I even tried with a different phone but it's still the same! So can this really be a carrier issue?
