How to determine why a certain push notification isn't getting through? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I use Wolt partner app for my food delivery job. One of the functions is getting a push notification when the restaurant has marked food as ready. But at one point that one notification stopped coming through (others still work, like new task or chat message). I've made no changes in the app or Android system, and all notifications are set to on. Wolt support said they can't replicate the problem so it's probably my phone. But how can I determine why this is happening?
The phone is Huawei Mate 20 lite running EMUI 10, Android 10.

No, but how can it be SIM card related?

Not with the SIM card, but with the operator, who may be doing something strange with the push transfer.

But only with one specific notification? I've never heard of such a thing before.

If you change your carrier card and your employer sets up a new number for notifications, you'll be closer to the truth about where the problem lies before you reset your phone. Or would you rather reset the phone?

Hey, I know this is an old thread, but my issue still persists, I even tried with a different phone but it's still the same! So can this really be a carrier issue?

AT&T No Data

Hey I got the AT&T S3 and it can send and receive sms and calls but there's no mobile data. I made sure that data was on under the setting and a data plan is active on the SIM card. Please help with this problem. Thanks.
Did you re-use your existing sim card? Sounds like maybe an issue there.

Yes it is the same microSIM that I used on my international S3. I have switched SIM cards on phones before without any problems. Do you think it a problem with the phone or should I call AT&T and see if they can fix it on their end?
I would give them a call, or head into a store. They might have blocked it, or it might have gotten damaged.
I was having a problem with data the last two days and earlier today, but now it seems to have been fixed. Maybe it was a network problem? Does it still not work?

I'm not sure I'll have to check when I get home. Right now I am using the SIM in my international S3 and data is working fine.
you need to switch to a LTE data plan...

4G issues

Hey guys been having issues with 4g. It works only intermittently in my DNA (even though it shows the indicator in the status bar), but if I put my sim in my Galaxy Nexus it works flawlessly. I've tried flashing kernels, new roms, and even going back to stock with ruu, but no luck. I've even switched to a new sim card. Anyone else have this issue? Or know of a fix? I'm hesitant to do a warranty exchange because the phone has the "relocked" tag in the bootloader (but no tampered tag).
I saw this too starting last week. I thought it was because i got a new sim. But then i put the sim in a different phone and have noticed that it is doing the same thing. Only thing i can think of is it's aproblem with Verizon. And not localized since your not here in Ga.

Yeah it's driving me crazy. no one else here is having the issue and I've drove through the state recently without any change. 3G however works fine when it connects to that. I'm wondering if somehow I bricked the radio Flashing/Changing roms and kernels.
I've been experiencing this problem as well. It's so annoying. Using the app OpenSignal it's funny to see my status display 4G, but when I check with the app it always says no data.. It is very frustrating. Hopefully the SIM update dropping tomorrow will fix this.

My cell no longer picks up any service. The sim registers but that's it. Its constantly in a no service state. I kdz again back to stock still no service. What can I do? [Q] Phone does not connect to home carrier

Hi, I recently bought a second hand s6 and the weird thing is that when I put in my SIM card it will only allow me to make emergency calls and says it's not connected, what could be the problem?

Is the sim detected or does it say "no sim"?? When my dad had that problem on his iPhone it was because the sim card needed to be adjusted.

Another theory is the sim card is incompatible with the particular model you have. Have you checked that out?

Well the SIM cRD Hs the correct size and I tried another SIM card from the same operator, but that also says not connected only emergency calls

I would guess that your carrier will not work with that particular model of this phone. For example, I have Verizon as my carrier, and if I put my sim card in an AT&T branded phone I get the same issue as you.

That app shows it's TT network which is Telia and Telenor's combined network and my SIM card is from Telenor so wrong brand cannot be the reason.
I am kinda at a loss. All my ideas have been exhausted.
My next suggestion would be to contact Telenor and ask them directly about the problem.

Can the LTE versions make phone calls?

I'd like to know if the LTE versions can perform phone calls.
Does anyone know?
Thanks.
yes, you can see a screenshot of it here http://www.computerbild.de/fotos/cb...MediaPad-M5-Android-8-Tablet-19812675.html#16 (german review)

You can , just like other phone.
If fact, my MediaPad thinks it is a phone, rather than a tablet, and you can set the icon management to be like a phone too.
Works well.
It works but the as there is no earspeaker, it is always in speakermode. So you need either a headset or be fine with everybody hearing your call.

A sure way to check if it *really* thinks of itself as a phone is to put a data only sim, associated with a tablet plan in it. If it identifies itself on the network during registration and provisioning as a phone device - the speeds with data only sim will be capped to 3G, like 512k only. If it reports itself as a tablet as it should - you will get LTE service.
