I have installed the latest build (March 5th) and this is my overview of the new features! Check out this video of you haven't been able to install it yet but want to see what's new!
This build is the one that has passed Safetynet so all apps work normally! Installed using the latest XDA guide.
How to get this build? Is it the stable one.
is this for exynos?

I'm still getting massive amounts of unusable lag after having been on FOG6 for a while.
I don't think there have been any updates from TMO on this, has there?
Other people say their most recent Lollipop phones are running fine, even older ones with limited RAM, so it looks like Google has definitively fixed it with their most recent Lollipop?
Does the G500T have it yet?

What do you think of the stock ROM for this phone?

So, what are your thoughts on what the stock ROM for this phone will be like?
What features do you want / do you expect to be in this new phone?

I HIGHLY doubt it will come with Android 7.0. 7.0 official hasn't been released yet and they are manufacturing millions of these for release. That means they are being boxed and being stored in the Warehouse in preparation to be shipped out. 7.0 would have to be out and available to the manufacturers prior to this happening for these to come with 7.0 out of the box.
I am sure these will be Marshmallow just like the leaked version and 7.0 will come around fall. Look how long it took to get Marshmallow on the Note 5 after Marshmallow was released!

Ah. Good point. Well, I never said it was official. Just from what I've heard. But yea good point.
Stock ROM is Grace UX. The consumer rom was already leaked.

It is still a Marshmallow base though right? Multiple roms for the Note 5 have had the Grace UX or at least parts of it.
The Grace UX was what I meant when I said just like the leaked version.

I think the stock rom will be basically be the latest (pfb?) Tw ux firmware...with a few added features to take advantage of for the new device...

Is it a lot to expect an Android nougat update soon. With no kernel source available I suppose it has to be an official update or is it time to buy a new phone (not a hisilicon device for sure)?

It's only just being released today ffs

MM was released by Mar so hope N will also be out by same for this as it was Honor brand Flashship last year
Huawei just released their two years software update guarantee with a lot of show, soooo I actually do expect Nougat in Feb - March 2017, yes.

Kernel source codes are available of Marshmallow, so now we can't blame Huawei to not releasing the sources. Nougat is still far away, as they have now a new flagship killer to attend to

He meant to say that the Nougat just released and you are asking for it way sooner than it should be available. ?

who should know that? Ask a crystal ball if you can find some. Or even better, ask HUAWEI
Taking in consideration the support for Honor 6 and some random online reports for Honor 7, I would say yes.
i believe we will get N , not sooner but later

As I can remember Huawei announced devices that will receive marshmallow update somewhere around October last year.Sony for example have already announced their nougat update plans.
Sent from my PLK-L01 using XDA-Developers mobile app
I prefer a stable marshmallow. Nougat is in the second plan to me. Even they are planning to release, they shouldn't announce it at this time. Because of sales policy..

But its still far away, as of now Nexus are also getting beta updates, so I don't think Huawei will release it anytime soon. Maybe if they can release a beta too.
Huawei Honor 7 with HiSilikon 935 doesn't support Android 7?

The rumour is that the Qualcomm chips won't work, as Qualcomm refuse to compile Vulkan for the firmware - as the Kirin chipset is made by a subsidiary of Huawei, there's a better chance of that happening, imho.

What? Vulkan refuse to compiling? or getting a Nougat?
i'm sure it's possible since
it's basically the same device lol
I tried already. But for now even Oreo rom for S8 doesn't want to boot.
Samsung focused on security instead of new features or new UI this year. Security against their own customers!
Other than 1000s of security changes, we need these:
Oreo bootloader
Oreo kernel
Oreo modem
Oreo HIDL libs probably.
It's not so easy anymore.

I expected at least Pixel Experience or any other AOSP based ROMs for our device but since it looks like both oreo/pie development is in grave. Anyone planning anything or it just stays like dead?

Will do. Hope its true
Custom ROM development for the Redmi 5 plus was essentially dead the moment Redmi note 5 released, I suggest selling it and buying either the Redmi note 5, Poco F1 or anything else
Follow the instructions in the video. Working LOS16 (although barebones so similar to AOSP), fully working GCam and smooth. There's the error message on boot and the USB bug - both not big deals. Really nice ROM.
