Hi all,
In an attempt to improve battery life I have disabled the above and for my use (no push email etc) it seems to work great.
Only issue I am having (around once every two days) is that when I turn the screen on the data connection does not kick in. Sometimes Flightmode on then off sorts this but sometimes phone has to be rebooted.
Has anyone else using this setting found this and either found a permanent fix or at least found a reliable way to get mobile data to kick in without rebooting the phone.
Thanks,
Michael
sometimes when i disable internet connection & later when i enable it again its taking so long time .. i have to reboot phone but now i just disable air plane mod and i enable it again so, its works now without reboot
Hi All,
I experience a Bluetooth trouble for some weeks: by the past I kept BT always active as it connected automatically upon entering in my cars. I was alerted because I no longer saw the “Connected …” message on the dashboard. I discovered that now, when I activate BT, it starts normally but it stops if it doesn't find any device to connect in the following 2 minutes. I have tried everything I know, even installing some software starting BT and keeping active when the phone is plugged. Nothing to do, it is always the same thing. Fortunately if it finds a device to connect it stays active as long as it is connected.
I have to say that I don't use any battery saver, I don't use the Android option "Energy saving" and I don't use any system program that could be linked to Bluetooth management.
Can anyone help me on this to recover a standard comportment?
BR.
Daniel.
I have a Verizon Samsung Note 2. It is NOT rooted, running stock ROM 4.4.2.
I have been having issues with bluetooth devices having audio cutting in & out issues. Here is the odd thing, it doesn't loose connection & it doesn't happen with everything I connect it to via bluetooth.
I can connect with both my vehicles & no issues.
I have 2 LG headsets & a JUMBLR bluetooth, that the audio with cut in & out after 3-5 minutes of playing. I can restart the device & it will work, but with the same result.
I have a Jabrees bluetooth device that will stream audio just fine, no issues.
I am at a loss as to how to correct this & am looking for some input.
Thx in advanced!!

I'm not sure if this will help or not, but you might try an app that basically keeps your phone's cpu from dropping down into the lower mhz range when you're not actively using the phone. (I'm guessing you probably lock the screen when playing music).
An app like Wake Lock Power Manager might work, found here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.thedarken.wl.
I actually stopped using Wake Lock Power Manager and switched to an app called Blank Screen ( here : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mirwanda.blankscreen) . I'm not totally sure... but I think that when you only have the screen go blank with this app... that it allows the cpu to keep performing as if the phone still has the screen on.... which may keep the cpu from dropping down into power saving range. I've never run any tests to confirm this theory, so I could be totally wrong.... However it works though, it seems to help prevent the stuttering problem I was having.
I also try to remember to long press my home button to close all running apps, then go to task manager to clear memory before starting up my music. Using the Blank Screen app and taking these extra steps seems to have solved the stuttering for me. It might not work for you, but won't hurt anything to try.
I will try it.
What other don't understand is why doesn't it do it when I'm streaming through my car & the screen is off?

Yeah... I'm not sure what would cause that either. A quick Google search shows that a lot of other people report having Bluetooth problems with KitKat 4.4.2, so you're not alone with the problems. Maybe the quality of the antennas on the LG headsets & JUMBLR are not as good as the antennas in the car and other device. I also wonder if something is trying to sync or run in the background on the headsets... and maybe it doesn't do this with the car??
You could try turning off auto sync on the phone to see if this might help. You could also try to Disable (Turn Off) different apps through the "Manage Apps" feature under phone's settings to see if this might help.
Another easy thing to try would be to clear the phone's "Cached Data" to see if this might help-- (I read somewhere on the Internet where someone said this helped them). You can do this by going into phone settings / storage / then touch on Cached Data and clear it.
Also... here's a post where someone says that they had duplicate Google Contacts that were syncing issues/ that ultimately was causing their Bluetooth problems ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2646592&page=2 ). They say that by going into Google Contacts and deleting the duplicates, that it fixed the syncing problem and the Bluetooth issues. (You could do this by going to Google Contacts at https://contacts.google.com, the go to "Find Duplicates," and either merge or delete any duplicate contacts that it shows).
You could also try rebooting the phone into Safe Mode to see if the Bluetooth works better. If so, this may indicate that an app you installed could be causing the Bluetooth problems. To get into Safe Mode, Power off the phone, and then Press the Power button again to turn it back on... but also press the Volume Down button at the boot up splash screen and continue to hold volume down until the phone boots up completely. This should boot it into Safe Mode and you'll see Safe Mode in the bottom left of the screen. If Bluetooth works better in Safe Mode, then you can just reboot the phone and it will go back into Normal mode...then try disabling or uninstalling different apps and see if the Bluetooth works better.
Just bought the second gen moto 360. Whenever i turn off bluetooth from my phone it doesnt immediately show on my watch that phome has been disconnected. I have also installed the find your phone app which tells you that phone is out of range when it loses bluetooth connectivity. The notification or vibration for disconnect usually come to the watch after a minute or two. Is there any problem with the watch?

Nah, no problem with the watch, it dose the same on mine.
There is due to this some kind of "power saving" feature either on the watch itself or in Android Wear app, that's why it doesn't show the disconnected sign on the watch immediatly nor the vibration alert sent by whatever apps similar to "Find your phone" app (I've tested quite a few)
What I found is that, if you turn on your watch's screen from either ambiant mode or non-ambiant mode (black screen) to normal mode, the disconnected sign would show up as well as the disconnected vibration alert within seconds, otherwise, it could take minutes...
It is kinda annoying if we wanna use those apps to alert us whenever we've left our phone behind or it's being stolen since it does not make any vibrations UNLESS we manually wake the watch face up
This kind of alert should really have been built into the Android Wear app's settings in the first place along with the vibration strength/duration settings (few 3rd party apps can do that pretty well), because a lot of us often find the watch's vibration is weak (well, actually, not that weak but too short), we know the purpose is to preserve the battery's life, but I bet a lot of us would prefer to not miss notifications rather than having a few extra hours of battery life...

I know few people with bluetooth issues on the watch. I've faced some problems to connect the watch to the app.
You can try:
Make sure you don't have the watch still paired in Amazfit app, if so, just unpair it from the app.
Remove the watch from Bluetooth paired devices.
Disable bluetooth on phone, force close Amazfit app and clean cache of the app.
Reboot into Ultra mode:
Code:
adb reboot mcu
and then go back to Smart mode.
Use AeX Amazfit mod app, since I'm using this app, bluetooth connection has improve in my case: https://portal.mi-room.ru/files/aex-amazfit-mod/
If nothing of this works, claim for your warranty.
Thank you, but nothing helped. Ill contact support. If anyone else have any idea how to solve this problem please reply. Btw, checked bluetooth status by adb, it says its off sadly

If you use:
Code:
[COLOR="Blue"]adb shell dumpsys bluetooth_manager[/COLOR]
You will get:
Code:
enabled: false
state: 10
address: D8:80:3C:3B:71:F3
name: Watch
Bluetooth Service not connected
Even if BT is correctly connected so is not 100% trustable.
But yes, it's better to contact them.
If you want to do some other test, you can install PaceOn, which has WiFi/BT toggles and try to enable BT.
Before installing the apk, bypass the QR screen with:
Code:
[COLOR="blue"]adb shell pm hide com.huami.watch.setupwizard[/COLOR]
install the app, and play around with BT toggle.
If you want to launch the QR again:
Code:
[COLOR="blue"]adb shell pm unhide com.huami.watch.setupwizard
adb shell am start -n com.huami.watch.setupwizard/.InitPairQRActivity[/COLOR]
Sadly still nothing. Updated firmware by OTA to 4.2.4.0, no results. Also tried to play with bluetooth. Nothing happend.
If anyone still need information how to pair. It worked somehow, after few days off becouse of battery gone. Battery went to 0, then watch shutdowned. After power on, there is information your watch need alteast 5% battery to pair. If you click on it, pairing QR appears for a moment, then i scanned it before dissapeared and it worked.
Hello all,
Sorry for the offtipic post.
I am new at running and looking to get a sports watch to track my runs along with little smart features like showing notifications and controlling music from my phone.
I have short listed two watches according to my needs. Amazfit stratos 3, price 299 SGD or Garmin Vivoactive 3 element, price 267 SGD.
I need accurate GPS and HR along with less buggy software on watch and app.
Need help in deciding one of these two.
I have same problem.
It can pair only in ultra mode.
What should I do?
try to turn on GPS on the phone. for me was only option it paired.
For some time music controller doesn't work. Has anyone the same problem?
Hello all. I will continue here with my issue.
I have amazfit Stratos 3 (rom version 4.2.8.0)
I used the mobile phone HUAWEI MATE 9. No issue with the pairing in the past.
I bought a new mobile phone, ONE PLUS 9, and the issue started.
I had no issue with the old phone; the watch was always connected only with Bluetooth, without location on. The connection was stable without any problem.
I bought a new mobile phone, moved the APP ZEPP, and paired the watch. It worked, but it was not stable. The connection was dropping. I changed the phone's battery customisation for the app, so the app was always on, but nothing changed. Then I upgraded the firmware to 4.2.8.0.
Long story short, I have an issue with both phones from the firmware upgrade.
I can pair the watch with the old phone, and the connection is stable until the first time that watch loose connection with the phone. Then I cannot pair it anymore, and I need to factory reset the watch to pair it again over and over again. The connection with the new mobile phone does not work anymore.
I mostly used watch for 24/7 notification. And this is getting annoying to me.
What can I do? I appreciate your help.
UPDATE 1: with several attempts, I manage to pair the new phone with Stratos 3. BT and location on. IS location necessary that is on, because it draining my battery. On the previous phone, my location was off and the watch connected without issue.
UPDATE 2: The connection was paired for cca 2-3 hours. But in the last 30 minutes, somehow the connection was lost and I cannot pair it again.
