This tablet can be booted into Win 10 or into Android 5.1.
Several question about rooting:
Can both of these be rooted, or at least one of them?
Can rooting f.e.the old Android, interfere in any way with the Windows?
Has someone actually done this?
Thanks
One week later: Let me rephrase the question:
"The Chuwi 10plus can be booted into Win 10 or into Android 5.1.
Will rooting f.e.the old Android, interfere in any way with the Windows?"

Hello,
I purchased the ViewPad 10 dual boot quite some time ago, and have come to the point where it is pointless to have Windows 7 on a tablet with only 16 GB HDD.
As a result, I have been interested in installing Android on this tablet, replacing the existing Windows install.
I know how to install Android, as I have previously upgraded the 1.6 version to 2.2. However, given 2.2 is the latest official version released by ViewSonic, I am stuck.
Can anyone link me to the latest compatible version of Android that works on the ViewSonic? I have researched and read that there is an Android 3.2 release for a 'Vega2' that may work with the ViewSonic 10, though I am not 100% sure about this.
Also, will all Android apps work on the x86 architecture? If they don't work via Android Market, is there another way to get them working?
Hopefully someone can help me out here.
Can anyone help me out.....?
I also have a Viewpad 10Pi
I also have a Viewpad 10Pi and I am wondering if there is anyway to root it? Thanks Tom
I just googled this and saw this article (to my surprise); http://www.stuff.tv/news/microsoft-can-convert-android-phones-windows-10-devices
So basically I have a Blu Vivo Aire LTE handset coming my way, I'm actually keen to just try Windows OS after my past 3-4yrs of Android use, is it possible to do this yet?
Cheers,
Dunker
Hi guys, I have a question for you. I have a tablet, which is not supported above android 4.2, but it is not that old (Asus Memopad 8 K00l). Nobody even on XDA posted ROM for Android 4.4 or higher. But: I can install Android Nougat on my laptop and it surprisingly works without any issues. Why is it so difficult to install it on some random tablet device?

Every handheld device like a smartphone or tablet has its own hardware.
The kernel, for example, needs to be programmed about which drivers to load.
And most of the time, each device has its own drivers.
Each ROM is built for a particular device, that's why one ROM which works on one tablet does not work on another.
But in case of large devices, like laptops, they are designed so that any kind of OS can be installed upon them according to the concerned person's needs.
There are operating systems which work only on part of a computer chip.
These OSes help in installing almost any OS in a laptop.
The same are probably not available for handheld devices like tablets
Hello,
I bought a Chinese tablet for my family - Chuwi Hi9 Air, it is good but the problem he came with Android 8 and not really been updated for a long time.
I found this guide online:
http://theupgradeguide.com/2019/12/...wi-hi9-air-pixel-experience-rom-how-to-guide/
In fact, there is software or method to update Android 9 or other version in an informal way, do you recommend to use this guide?
I don't understand that much in android system... and would like your help. Because i don’t know if its dangerous and I do not want and just afraid to completely destroy the tablet.
I purchased a ALPS H960 tablet and it doesn't attach to 5G WiFi but the two apps I have install that display the phone/tablet information says it should. I believe it is the same as MT6797 or Pavoma G5. From the research I have done it is running a hacked Android version 9. Would it be possible to root it and flash it to Android 10 or 11 to get to work on WiFi 5G if it can't be changed the way it is now? Thanks.
Were you ever able to fund a way to root this device? I have the same one and wanted to do the same thing.

I totally forgot about this tablet. I got frustrated with it and sold it though.
