Amazfit Stratos Treadmill Calibration subtracting instead of adding mileage? - Amazfit

I'm trying to figure out how to use Treadmill Calibration correctly on my Amazfit Stratos. It seems its calibrating in the wrong direction every time I attempt to correct a runs distance.
For Example: I ran 3 miles on a treadmill yesterday, The Amazfit Stratos recorded 2.63 miles. I attempted to correct this by calibrating after the run. I used the calibration screen to input "3.00 miles" and clicked the green check mark. After I finished calibrating the watch changed the distance of the run to 1.83 miles? Instead of adding distance it subtracted it? Very confused... am I missing something?
This happens just about every time I attempt to calibrate. Watch always records about 1/10th of a mile low and calibration always appears to take mileage away rather than add it.

Are you using the correct units? Even though it might display "mileage" on screen it may actually be using kilometers if you've configured Amazfit app to use km.

Using miles, everything shows miles. Phone App, Activities, Activity History in watch and phone. Also GPS runs are correct. The only variance is when I try to "calibrate" a treadmill workout.

can you guide me how to calibrate it?

Anyone figure out how to fix this? I've been dealing with this on my Pace since July with no resolution. I have tried a factory reset.

Treadmill: distance too short

Hi,
I have a new Amazfit BIP watch, and did a Treadmill training today. So I started treadmill, and cyled indoor for 30 minutes. When I wanted to end the activity, I got the message "distance too short".
Why does that happen? I mean, indoors I don't have GPS, and no real distance to run. How is this supposed to work correctly, and what am I doing wrong?
It relies on the pedometer/accelerometer. If you didn't move your arm where the watch was during the exercise, it won't measure anything. It's normal that the distance isn't accurate, you must settings your personal data (age, height, etc) correctly in the app, and calibrate the distance after the activity (Pace has this AFAIK, don't know about Bip).

Amazfit Stratos VO2Max - no data

Just bought a new Stratos and i am unable to get any data on VO2 max
I have tried - Outdoor running, Indoor running(treadmill), Indoor walking (treadmill), Indoor Cycling, Ellipticals
I have done it for 7 days
I see the Training Load information - says Optimum
I also see Recovery Time
I want to see the following (these are advertised features of the watch).
1. VO2 max
2. Training Effect
3. Training Load - yes i see it
4. Recovery time advisor - yes i see it
5. Real time performance condition
6. Personalized training plans
7. Real time coaching
8. Calories burned - i see it
How do i get to these information on the watch or on the app?
Please help.
thanks
jim
Training effect is shown on each workout in watch and app.
VO2max is calculated only if you do an outdoor run for at least 20? minutes with at least 75%? of your maximum heart rate. VO2max will be only correct if you are training running.
For a short and long term fitness indicator check out your resting heart rate.
Hi! I have followed the instruction from the Stratos manual, took a running session for more than 20 mins with the HR above 75% of the maximum heart rate. I have used Polar H10 as external sensor, connected to the watch and I also had bluetooth headphones connected. GPS was on and recorded precisely the trajectory. Unfortunately VO2max still shows „no data”. Should enable Huami Lab or any other feature in order to compute and display VO2? Thanks!
same VO2 Max problem
Hi, I've had this problem for a month now. I have entered all correct personal data into App re Height, Weight, etc, set activity to Running and reached at least 75% heart rate for over 20 mins, ended activity and saved data - Watch itself states "no data" and the App shows an updated date for that activity's VO2 Max but constantly shows a reading of Zero. This was working fine since I've had the watch until now.. I did update the watch to version 2.3.9.0 around the time the issue started, so of course it's possible it is a software issue, but I've struggled to find many other reports of this issue nor any solutions..
Can anyone help?
Many thanks

Corrupted data, maybe? If you haven't done yet, unpair watch and pair again, if it doesn't fix your problem then do it again but do *not* restore old data to watch when pairing again (it will reset all data on watch). You then may want to turn off the device for about 15s to make sure sensors are also reset and enable continuous HR for at lest 24h and use the watch while you sleep, this will calculate your resting HR and improve futire HR readings.
the firmwere shows VO2 header but readings are missing, this could be possibily because of the fact that gadget does not have built in hardware to measure v02! u would need to buy higher variant to see that reading! quite an old marketing strategy.

Km instead of miles in Amazfit Stratos

Hi all,
In Amazfit app I have selected km in units settings. All distance inormation of my running workouts are shown correctly in km in the app.
But when I start run activity in the watch the distance is shown in miles in the data screen. Also pace is shown as minutes/mile and not minutes/km as I expect.
Watch sw version is 2.3.4.0.
Any ideas how to see km instead of miles during running activity?
Sounds like a bug in the ROM. Guess you have to wait for an update.

Is it the caption 'mileage' that makes you think it is in miles? Metrics should be denoted in Km since you have selected this in the app. I have exactly the same version Stratos intl 2.3.4.0 and everything is shown correctly.
I was wondering the same. For me all is fine.
Thank you for your answers. It is not caption ’mileage’. It is really showing only miles for distance and pace, not kilometers. Also altitude is shown in feet and not meters. Seems like settings in app do not have effect in watch. And in watch there is no way to change units.
But when I sync running workout from watch to app it shows kilometers in app. Any ideas what to do?

You mean in the watch you log a running activity of 1 mile and when sync to the app you get 1.6 Km?
Yes that is right.
Internally it is always metric, just the display is imperial. Like it is with all other modern devices.

But how to change display to metric? It has to be possible somehow. I want to see the distance and pace in kilometers when I’m running.

It is in kilometers. If factory reset does not help contact the support.

I had the same problem on my first run, regardless the fact that everything in the app was set in kilometres. So try restarting the device, and also you can go to run -> settings -> more settings -> auto Lap -> 1 km and also activate the notification for laps (so even if it is in miles, you will get notification on every km).
So I did that and on my next run it still says "mileage" but the numbers are in kilometres not miles. I am not sure that the auto lap setting has anything to do with the info, or it was just the restart, but it doesn't hurt to try.
I have tried restarting the device, factory reset and started running activity several times but nothing seems to help. I tried your Auto Lap tip but Auto Lap seems to be for miles as well. At least it shows Auto Lap (mi).
I found instructions from Amazfit web page for changing units in watch setting but this option is missing at least from my watch. I have now sent this problem to Amazfit support and waiting for answer.
Hopefully they will offer some-kind of solution.
BTW I know it is kind of dumb, but have you tried switching to miles in the app, restarting and then switching to kilometres again?
PS: I also don't have the Units option in the "Common" section of the watch.
This one solved the problem. Switched to miles in app, restarted watch, switched back to km and restarted the watch again. Thank you very much for your help!

That's normal, it's just the title. Same for me at least.
Ok great thought that should change to kilometers or distance or something. Milage usually refers to a measurement of miles not distance in general.
I have asked Amazfit to change this is exy update let's see if they do.
How I fixed it
Just got "Amazfit Stratos 3" few days ago, set km and kg in the app, however the watch still showed miles insted of km (on the app it was km, but not on the watch). Tried switching from kg to imperial, reseting the watch, etc. - nothing worked. HOWEVER then I found how to fix it. So here it goes: Open on your watch Settings>>>Data sync (it showed that my Data sync was set on Manual sync - so I tapped it again. Was asked to enter my Wi Fi password - did it). The watch started syncing - and in 15 secs. everything was fine - it started showing km insted of miles. Pretty obvious if to think about it now

Amazfit Pace - GPS Altitude data missing

The last time I had Amazfit app register elevation data was the 13th of July. Since 15th every single run has no altitude data. I believe I got the last firmware update on the 13th or 14th.
Currently running 2.8.0.5
Has anyone else noticed this issue ? I have messaged them by means of app's contact us. Not sure if they address issues and how quickly.
Last Saturday I did a 102Km MTB route with 2200 elevation. After 25Km, elevation started to malfunction, not changing values more than 10 or 15 meters till the end of the route. On the next trip the day after, elevation was recorded correct. I'm also on 2.8.0.5 and never ocurred before updating.

there are many amazfit pace smartwatchs having battery isues because of the barometric sensor, probably the Xiaomi to avoid complaints turned off this sensor in this rom, it's just a theory[emoji16]

Altitude does't work anymore!
Same here... I get a flat altitude. It seems that get the altitude at the beginning and it never changes during the race. Hope Xiaomi cand fix this fast. :crying:
1. Restart watch;
2. Go to Compass widget, calibrate it if it tells you to do so, then tap on it to display GPS + barometer data: it will show four numeric fields, air pressure is in the bottom right;
3. If it doesn't display any value for air pressure or compass refuses to work at all, probably it's damaged and high chances it was due to water damage;
4. Blow some air in the hole (Pace has only one hole for mic+barometer, Stratos has two holes, so water drys faster), and see if pressure increases a bit;
5. If it doesn't change, probably the hole is blocked, clean it with a small needle (but don't push it too further), you can use a small amount of isopropyl if it looks very dirty;
6. Restart the watch before you start an activity, and check barometer as explained above then start recording, it should work fine.

I restarted the watch before the activity, I calibrated the compass, I tapped on the compass and I could see the four numeric fields, latitude, longitude, altitude and air pressure, everything seemed to be fine. To be sure, I also blew air into the hole of the watch.
I chose the climb activity, the altitude was correct at the beginning, but during the activity the altitude value has always remained the same :crying:
Does anyone have the same problem as me?

Ok man but barometer was functioning so its not dust in the hole that cause the problem.. it s a firmware problem... barometers does not supply the GPS when signal lost...
wait next year for fenix6

amazfit stratos finish point problem

Hello, I have a problem with my stratos and I would like to know if anybody else has this problem or how to fix it.
When I finish my run and then sync with phone and open the app to check my run the finish flag on the map is not on the proper spot but 2-3km sooner.
For example, I run about 15 km but on 12th km, it sets finish flag but it continues to count distance, pace and so on further. In the app, it shows proper distance and everything seems ok but when I look on the map finish flag is on 12th km.
It seems like no issue at all but after uploading on Strava it cuts off everything after the finish flag, so it shows only those 12kms and nothing else. And this bothers me because I use Strava as my primary app to analyze my runs. Interesting is that no matter how long I run it always cuts off more or less the same distance around 2-3 km before the real finish.
I appreciate any help.
Go to Settings on wacth -> Activity reminders, set both to ON, save, then set both to OFF again (you must reset them).
If watch is running firmware > 2.3.7.0 then there is a bug when GPS signal is lost that didn't happen in the past. You may want to factory reset but do NOT restore old data to watch to reset all data, do the above again (also reset Activity reminders), make sure you get a strong GPS-fix before starting to record any activity. And to get better HR data, enable continuous HR for at least 24h and use the watch while you sleep to record resting rate.

Thanks for the reply.
I tried reset activity reminders but it did happen again. The watches are running on 2.3.9.0 and this problem first time occurred on 7th January. Is it possible that some update came out around that date?
About the GPS when I get a green screen which indicated good GPS lock and I start the activity it shows always altitude like -20000m and it takes some time until altitude becomes accurate but I always wait on the same spot till it's ok. Could that be a problem? Should I wait to start tracking even though GPS is ready?
After factory reset can I upgrade the watches to the current version or I should stay on some older one?
Reseting data will only erase the activity data stored on watch, it won't affect firmware. I'd suggest that you do the procedure above, and also turn off the watch for about 15s to reset sensors. And find start to record the activity as soon as you get a green GO, wait a few seconds for a stronger GPS fix.
Hello, I have the same exact problem on Amazfit Pace. It happens on Cycling and Walk and always cut the last 1-2 km of the track before the arrive regardless of the length of the ride.
I would try the suggested solutions but I can't find Activity reminders on Pace.

Hello, I have the same kind of problem.
My watch : Amazfit Pace 2.8.5.0
It happens only when the run is more than 15km
The finish flag is about 1.5 km to short.
The total distance is ok on Zepp App but it is not good in Strava.

Hi.
First sorry for my english.
I have same issue. Zepp is the problem. GPX data from watch is ok. When it is updated to Zepp, data is ok.
But when you download the .gpx from Zepp (like Strava should), the latest data is missing in the .gpx
I opened a ticket at Amazfit but for them everything is fine.
In the screenshot below, we see on the left my watch's .gpx on the left and Zepp's .gpx on the right. There are 30 seconds of data missing.
